Syeira was about to jump forward, stop the collision head on. After all, she'd done this so many times to protect Tamu from the charcoal brat - but now, he was much larger, and this sort of anger he never displayed towards Tamu. There was something entirely feral about it now, dangerous even. Though, there were two things that kept her from even attempting to stop it. One was the fact that Uumi was put out of the beeline, Kiuma getting herself clawed and clawing in return. The second was the fact that she heard her father. That roar, one he hardly used to her knowledge, and one used to ultimately break up the fighting. She hoped. But as she stood there watching him, she couldn't help but think how much like a king he looked.
Though, after a moment, she saw the sprawled body of Uumi for the second time, her head swimming with all the action. Her brother fighting Uumi's sister, her father intercepting Uumi head on. Then, as she glanced down, she realized - her son wasn't there. "Taabu!" she said panickingly, weaving her way after the little toffee ball as it moved first to her father, then around him to the red lion. Oh god, she said quietly, don't let Uumi hurt him. She knew Uumi could be mean, especially if he didn't want something, and she had a feeling - he wouldn't want Taabu.
The little cub had been timidly curled up agianst his mother's legs, but then the red lions started getting hurt! Uncle Denahi he would have thought would do such a thing to everybody, but Gapa! Gapa never hurt anybody! His head swam as he watched, suddenly realizing that they were all after the red lion. Uumi was his name?
Darting forward, abusing his mother's lack of attention, he weaved through the grass, passing in front of his Gapa and over to the lion - who was bleeding! As he went, there was that muttering, "one, two, three," under his breath - all the way to eight, then starting over. All this fighting probably wasn't helping him very much either.
He got to the red lion, timidly edging closer and putting a paw on his nose, the red eyes concentrated and slightly entranced by the pair that stared back at him. Those eyes, though, looked like they had been stained with tears - perhaps crying when the initial fighting began. After all, he was so little. Of course, that will power of his mother's inheritance kicked in, and he was standing where he was now.
"Are you ok?" he asked quietly, in that squeaky little voice. The dodging and darting had him panting very slightly, nothing like the father he faced but did not know, but there was one small little cough as he tried to regain his breath.
Syeira writhed as she moved before her father, stopping before him with her eyes slightly widened. Let Uumi see the child. She was close enough, though, to save her son if he needed her. She wouldn't smother his curiousity, she needed to know he could think and do things for himself - like she could. He was already moving through his pain, the pain of his father's blood, that inherited sickling gene. He worked through that, and he could make wise choices. If he wanted to see him, then she'd let him. Though, she did move to her father, standing close, and her eyes for one second swivelling up towards the toffee giant, "don't hurt him, please. At least not here, not in front of Taabu," she whispered.

Denahi watched as Kiuma pushed Uumi out of the way, quite suprised someone would actually stick up for him. He couldn't retreat his attack however, he was already in the air. His claws dug into her shoulder blades as a constant snarl left his maw. Only when her nails extended into his chest did he merely roar, getting only angrier that this one was deciding to counterattack.
When Uumi slammed into the fighting pair, Denahi lost his grip on the pridelander female, being pushed to the ground for a moment. Well, the red male didn't last to long, because just then Asi seemed to appear from nowhere, attacking the coughing adolescent. "Kill him!" He shouted, getting up and stalking towards the two males, forgetting about Kiuma there.
Denahi sneered at Syeira. "Then why don't you take little Taabu away from here so father can properly dispose of him, eh?" His nose twitched, casting a gaze to the father and son pair infront of him.

((ack, appologies. I didn't realize there was a strict order. x3 Noted))
Kiuma rolled and thrashed, giving a heated snarl as Uumi slammed into them. The fight was hot in her blood, and anger clouded her thoughts. As the fighteres parted, she slithered to her feet and whirled. Everything was happening at once! She didn't know the history, didn't know why these lions were attacking her twin. Faced with uncertainty, she fell back on the one solid fact in her life. Uumi was her other half, she would protect him with her life, no matter what.
Stalking around the group, she crouched facing the adult male. He was big... bigger than her by far.... A snarl twisted her face, the pain in her shoulders barely registering as blood trickled down her sides. "If you hurt him again..." She snarled, her bright eyes flashing to either of the attackers. "I will make sure you die, even if I go with you. I don't know what's going on, but you have no right to attack him." Her round chest heaved as she panted, deep breathes to fuel her muscles.
If she ever got Uumi out of here, she'd cuff him upside the head for being stupid enough to bring them here.

Asi snarled slightly, eyes narrowing. "Well, yeh gun'answer?" He hissed out, before giving a small start. Oh yeah. Taabu. "Yeh ge' away from 'im, Tabuu." He demanded, his eyes flicking up to meet the crimson orbs of Uumi's twin. He just gave a slight chuckle, eyeing her. "Dear, yeh be no match fer me an' me son..." He trailed off though, Sye didn't want the violence commited in front of Taabu. "Tell Taabu teh leave, Sye." So he'd just get rid of Taabu biggrin
Vaguely he heard Denahi shouting for Asi to kill him, and the words of his sister. "Don't be so.." He coughed a little again, more blood. This was bad, he was terrified. "Don't be so rediculous Kiuma. You don't want to die." He didn't take his eyes off of Asi, except when he felt a tiny paw on his nose. His eyes flicked to Taabu and his heart sped on still, still trying to figure out why he'd come her. "I'm.. fine." He said, through breaths. He moved his face away, so that the little guy would have to get off. He wasn't about to snap at a cub, especially in the situation at paw.
It was curious, why Sye hadn't taken the cub away again. She'd attempted to, true. Or why she'd tried to protect him from the beginning. He was so sick of it, of her. Why did she try and protect him? It made him vrey uneasy. He didn't like being protected, even by Kiuma. But being protected by Kiuma was a need, being protected by a pretty set of icey eyes was a whole nother story, it was almost as if he was being protected out of pity.
He was tempted to actually repeat Denahi's question out loud, but he had not only his own life to look out for right now, but his sister's as well. Best not let Sye get angry. He didn't know what to do, or say either. The big doofus on top of him was still jabbering on it what, to Uumi's ears, seemed to be a foreign language. Something about a scumbag, which he could only assume it was himself, and doin'ere... if slowed down, simply just doing here. "I was here to... See Syeira." He finally said, still staring Asi in the eyes, trying to get his heart beat and breathing to calm. "In fact I was coming to see what.." Do not use the word damage, that would be bad. "what had happened to her. To.. apologize." Sure, apologize.
Asi was just ready to smash Uumi's face in. Taabu needed to leave, now. "Wha'a load a billshi'." He sneered, his claws digging into Uumi's shoulders. Yes, he wanted to desperately what Denahi was asking, for once agreeing with his eldest son.

Syeira stiffened as her eyes swung from first her father, to her brother, then Uumi, and his sister. She was the only thing here keeping the two sides from simply attacking one another. That and her son - the son that linked them both. While she was sure Kiuma was strong, fierce, Uumi couldn't fight, and both her father and brother were big, healthy lions. Denahi lived to fight, as well.
"If his staying here is what it takes you to keep from killing Uumi, then he's going to stay," she shook her head, her bright eyes full of some disappointment, like a broken heart as she gazed up into her father's eyes. "You disappointment me, Dad, this is no way for a king to act," she whispered, a soft sigh on her maw, "what would mother think of this?" She knew her mother had been disappointed at the pregnancy, but she wasn't the type to wish someone dead. At least, she didn't think so.
She tried her hardest not to comment on what Uumi said though. Apologizing - now that was bullshit. He had come here to make sure nothing had happened, selfishly trying to save his own a**. Too bad something did happen and his a** saving was in the hands of his twin and one of the lioness' he detested most.
Poor little Taabu's mind couldn't even begin to fathom what was happening, letting his eyes go from the two red lions to his Gapa, to his Uncle, and then finally to his mother. His chest was heaving slightly, because he looked upset. Then, as if understanding exactly why they wanted him to leave, his itty bitty paws began to push at the giant one of his grandfather - the paw that was bigger than he was. "Gapa, don't," he whined, his little squeaky voice breaking and cracking as he tried so hard to push the claws away from the poor little red lion. He couldn't breathe! Just like Taabu couldn't breathe when he did something hard. "Gapa, get off of him, he's sick," he whimpered, coughing a little through his fear and worry.

"There is no way someone like you," Denahi glanced towards Kiuma, noting her form and all, "would kill either one of us." He snorted, his tail flicking quickly behind him. His gazes switched from each member of his family, to the pridelander twins. By the looks of it, without laying another paw on him, Uumi would bleed to death just by coughing.
His attention turned to Syeira for a moment. "Is it anyway for a princess to act? Going around and sleeping with the first male she sees?" His ears pinned back. Oh great, she was bringing mother into this! Well, mom wasn't here soo... "Dad, don't listen to her. Mom's not here, she will never know!"
--
But that comment was so wrong. Ari had returned from the hunt (Or merely dragging the dead gazelle back to the den,) to catch sight of Asi, Denahi, Syeira and the rest. Gasping at the sight of the blood colored lion, she dropped the body and scurried over as fast as her pregnant self would take her. "ASI! Get off him!" She cried out.

"Of course I don't want to die, you idiot." Kiuma hissed through her bared fangs. "But don't think I can just sit here and let you go." Her eyes blazed, sparkling strangely. Beyond the anger, beyond the pain, something else gripped her heart and squeezed, digging in icy talons. Fear... fear that she would loose the only thing in the world that mattered to her. "I don't care if you're both biger and stronger than me. You can't understand what he is to me, or why I'd be willing to give up my life for him... With out him, I have no reason for living." Tears gathered in her bright red eyes. For the first time in her life, Kiuma seemed about to cry.
Wait... he wanted to appologize? Appologize for what? Her sleek head turned, eyes flickering to the lioness that seemed the cause of this whole thing. She seemed just as adamant about saving Uumi's life as she was. When the dark adolescent spoke, though, her eyes went wide and her ears pinned back on her head. "S-slept with her? Uumikaji..." She couldn't comprehend... how could he have not told her something like this?
Then a kind of dread seeped in through the spaces not taken up by fear and anger... Knowledge followed it, knowledge finally of just what was going on, why they were here, and why they'd been attacked. Her blood ran cold as her eyes swept past her brother to land on a small pair of eyes that were a copy of her own. Her eyes... Uumikaji's eyes.
"You're a father, Uumi..."

As Asi heard his mate's voice he cursed under his breath, and felt quite guilty once Syeira's words reached him. Wasn't behaving like a king? Well of course not! He was behaving like an enraged father! Wasn't she mad too? Well, he supposed not mad enough to kill.
"Fine, fine. 'sokay Taabu I be ge'in off." He muttered, paws pressing hard into Uumi before he slunk off, his whole body tense. His ears flicked back and he turned to Denahi, "Yeh say no such things teh yer sister!" He growled out. Tense air, ney?
Great, her mother too. Lovely way to meet the parents, wouldn't you think? As Asi shoved off of the other he rolled to his side, half curling and coughing a little. Finally. He dragged himself to his paws, a little unsteady. His eyes flicked toward Sye, but quickly off again as though he was burnt. He didn't want to look to any of her family either, or the cub. His eyes finally remainded on Kiuma. "No I'm not." He hissed out, anger evident in his voice.
But with those words he quickly stalked toward his twin, placing her between he and the others. "And I wouldn't exactly call it.. sleeping with her." He murmered quietly. What was wrong with his brain? Why would he make such remarks after finally 'getting free'. At least for a few moments.
His eyes finally flickered toward Ari, examening the mother of Syeira. Where she got her stunning eyes, it seemed. He swallowed, his gaze moving back to the cub. He seemed to be a bit sickly, like himself. He didn't know what to say, so he fell silent, just watching it.

Syeira's eyes narrowed rather dangerously as she heard her brother, claws somewhat digging into the earth where she stood. How Denahi could turn on his own family in an instant pissed her off, though she only supposed it was because adrenaline was surging through is veins. Well, no, it was probably just Denahi. "It Taabu wasn't out here and I hadn't just made a fuss about you beating up on Uumi and his sister, I'd show you exactly how a bloody princess acts," she sneered out, under her breath. She resented what he said, after all, that wasn't what had happened - she heard Uumi when he said a second after, too. It was sleeping with him just to be sleeping with him. It was an accident, a mistake, even if she loved her son.
Oh, Taabu, the thought hit her. She frowned and moved forward to the little cub who was coughing, sitting down and pulling him to her with her front paws, scooting him along. "Shh, Taabu, it's ok," she whispered as her tail curled around him, her chest rising and falling calmly - to show him. "Take a deep breath baby and calm down, like I showed you." What the hell was it that Uumi and Taabu had exactly? Feline-Asthma?
Though, at the hiss from Uumi, she couldn't help but sigh lightly. No, Uumi wasn't a father. He was a parent genetically, but father's took care of their children, were proud of their children. Asi was a father, her father. Uumi just happened to make up the other half of little Taabu's genes. She wouldn't say a thing to him though, because she'd not once suspected Uumi of being a father since she found out she was with child.
Her eyes drifted up to her father, then away to her mother, a look of relief splashing across her face. Her mother might snap at them, but she'd keep her father under control, and perhaps Denahi as well.
The little cub sighed in relief when the little red lion was released, finally sitting on his rump on the ground, still coughing uncomfortably. That's when his mom grabbed him, pulling him close. He listned, taking slow, deep breathes with closed eyes, and slowly - he managed to calm down and quit the coughing. That's when he immediately looked up to his grandfather, smiling weakly, "Thank you, Gapa."
Soon after, though, he couldn't help but let his attention stray to Uumi once more. Was that his dad? Hadn't the Red Lady said he was just now? Well, no, he denied it.
Oh, he frowned and flattened his ears. All this thinking made his little head hurt.

So...this was the father of little Taabu eh? Same pretty crimson eyes, almost near exact markings, just in his mother's pelt. She sighed, shaking her head as she moved up to Asi. "This is how you all act in front of a little child. Attacking one another because /he/ is here." She wasn't refering to Uumi. Oh no, she was talking about her grandson.
"You all should be ashamed of yourselves." She knew Denahi was about to comment to her, but that icy blue glare she sent his way caused him to shut up. "Especially you males."
She turned to Denahi, sneering. "You for being a total snot in the time your sister needs you most. I don't care how much you despies this family, but when another one of YOUR blood needs you, you will be respectful to them. Understood?!" She hissed out, glaring to her eldest child. "If you can not, then you have no right to even be considered apart of this pride, and apart of this family." She sighed, shaking her head as she turned to Asi.
"And you Asikari!" Ohho! True name, yes, she was pissed. "You do NOT go around attacking those who are related to you either. Even if you don't want to admit it, he is your son in law," Partially. He is the father of your grandson, get where I am coming from? "and you will do right to treat him as if he were your own." She turned from her mocha mate, onto the red pridelander twins.
"And you. I do not know your name, but I feel as I do not need to. You will NOT come into these lands to apologize if those are not your true intentions. Do not lie to Syeira; tell her the truth." Her blue eyes focused on Uumi, sending a small frown at him. "Do that, and then you will be free to leave these lands if you choose." She turned her head to little Taabu. "However, even though you don't want to admit it, that little cub over there is yours. Your blood runs through his veins. Every part of you is in some form encrusted into that little body. Do not disappoint him."
And with a little sigh, she pivoted on her paws, heading back to where she left the kill. She debated taking it, but decided against it. Let them have it, for she didn't want it anymore. She'd leave the 5 by themselves to let them think.

Kiuma sighed softly, feeling some releif at the tone of the newest lioness. She seemed to have some authority over the lions, and hopefully her words would be heeded. The adolescent flicked her ears at her brother, her voice rough and low with pent up emotion. "We can talk about this later, I think. You are going to tell me everything, but not now. Now, you need to do whatever it is you came here to do. I will stand beside you, but I can not help you with this."

Asi tried to get out protest, but he knew Ari was angry, very angry. When she was finally finished he sat sullenly, staring moodily at Uumi. Good he could say whatever he needed and then get the hell out of his lands. And keep on running.
Uumi flinched slightly as Sye's mothers words turned to him. Free to leave.. if he chose? Like he'd stay here! That would get him killed. His tail flicked and he remained silent still, the fur on his neck standing up. He watched Kiuma from the corner of his eyes. "Kiuma don't you dare demand anything of me. I will tell you the parts that I wish, or nothing at all if I wish. If you are stupid enough to think you control me..." He growlered and let his sentance trail off, still glaring at her. Sometime they did not see eye to eye.
He eyed the others wearily. Well, this suddenly got Awkward. "Syeira let me speak with you alone..." There was only a hint of a question in his tone.

Syeira watched her mother leave, eyes trailing after her for a moment. It was a good thing she had come, or Uumi might have never been saved from them. Though, after this, Uumi would probably leave and stay gone. She'd raise Taabu alone, like she had planned all along. She couldn't help feeling sorry for the little thing though - to meet his father and never be told that was exactly who it was. Well, she'd tell Taabu after Uumi was gone. That he was his father, but he wasn't ready to be that lion yet.
"Of course," she said quietly at Uumi's words, leaning down to nose Taabu in the direction of his grandfather. "Go sit with Gapa while I talk to Uumi, Taabu. I'll be back in a minute." Then, slowly, she stood and started for the edge of the clearing, next to the woodline. Where they could be seen but not heard. She didn't think her father would appreciate nto being to see them both. He might get suspiscious of Uumi's intentions.
Though a pout traced his little maw when his mother began to walk off with the lion he suspected to be his father, he simply sauntered over to his grandfather. With a calm little sigh flickering out from his maw, he curled up between the paws of his grandfather - much like his mother used to do. He watched the red lioness, though, with his head tilted - making him look quite cute, but a little too curious.

Denahi watched as his mother stalked away, glaring at her retreating form. What the hell was she saying, eh? Not be a part of this pride OR family if he couldn't respect it? Screw that. He sneered at Uumi requesting to see Syeira alone. He glanced to Asi, "You are just going to let them go?" He frowned, rolling his eyes. "Some father YOU are." He growled, his tail thrashing behind him as he turned right to leave. Whatever, he didn't need this. His mother maybe it blantly clear that he was not welcomed in this pride. So what to do? Leave of course! No more Kusini lands for Denahi. Maybe he could find that crimson couple again...Get to know about that Finar-si person.

Kiuma snorted, hissing right back before he left. "I don't control you, but I do deserve to know what led to us coming here." She fell silent, and her eyes reluctantly drifted back to rest on the cub and his... grandfather? Must be. His mother had called him Father. The red adolescent cleared her throat nervously, rolling her shoulders. With the fear and anger fading, the pain was coming back. The blood still leaked sluggishly, turning her red pelt a darker red down her shoulders and forelegs.
A small sound escaped her as she settled back on her haunches, abused muscles protesting. She'd be sore tomarrow, and she could already feel bruises forming. Struggling to ignore the two pairs of eyes, she lifted a paw to clean the blood from it, whincing.
