I would like to try out for the spot of steel gym leader!
I have a copy of pokemon white!
I do have a team prepared!
And as it is with some of the other people here they are between lvls 80 to 100, but I can grind to get them up to 100! Just give me a couple days!
Edit: I have my entire team up to level 100, so my team is completely ready!

It really depends, right now, the crew is discussing on what pokemon are going to be on the ban list in our guild. We'll have more info once we come to our final conclusion.
As far as selection goes, when we host the tournament, as well as once you earn your spot, you are allowed to use any pokemon only as long as its not from the ban list as well as its from your registered type.

If we do gain the position of gym leader, would we be able to have one pokemon that is off of our gym type? I have my Celebi which is my favorite pokemon ever, and even though it is completely not a steel type, would I be allowed to use it if its the only non steel on my team?

Alright. What about hacked within the normal limits? Like just getting a Shiny Arcanine for example.

@daaku - No, all pokemon you use must share atleast 1 type. The only way you can use Celebi is if you ran a Psychic or Grass Gym.
@ Shadow - Hacking on any level has always been forbidden among the gyms. That even includes shinies.

@Luther - Alright, just making sure! Oh, one question about the hacking subject though! Does this guild consider RNGing hacking? I know some people do, and Ive bred a couple of my shiny pokemon on my team through that!

What if I got it of the GTS and am not sure on the legitness?

@Daaku - Nope, RNG is perfectly fine since the game keeps all stats within legitimate reasons.
@Shadow - There are three ways to test that. First would be by removing all it's EVs and then running it's stats through an IV calculator. 2nd would be the location and level by which it was caught. 3rd would be the moves by which it knows. If it knows a move that is impossible, then it's no good.

Well, you could always assume it doesn't have EVs, which of course won't give you definitive results, and run it through an IV calculator.

Everything about it seems legit though. Hatched at Route 3, no wrong moves (CC is egg move), the stats don't seem off... What if I got a hacked pokemon, then bred it. Would the offspring be usable?

I believe so, since the bred Pokemon definitely conform to the game's constraints.
