When he arrived at the classroom for Human Studies, Jove thought he had come to the wrong place. The room looked like it had been used as a snowglobe. Filled with water, and shaken until the debris floated around inside. Seeing all the students inside reassured him that he was indeed where he was supposed to be though.
He took a step inside and winced, he had stepped on a sharp splinter on his way to an available desk. Maybe he should have started listening to his big brother's advice and worn his boots more often... The pup rubbed his side, and carefully picked his way to the front to sign in. Then caught sight of a very reassuring face amidst the cluster of students. Yaya!
Jove trotted right over to the djinn to give her a happy tail wag, completely ignoring the crunch of glass and sharp wood shards under his bare feet. Then his head tilted. Had she been crying?
((Jove is in attendance!))

West grinned in response to Damien's singsong mockery, but his smile was quite a bit more malevolent that the other boil's. "Funny, kid," he said from between clenched teeth. Honestly, he had been expecting a reaction from somebody to him carrying Yaya across the room like they had just gotten married, but it was kind of gratifying that things had actually gone down that way, especially since it was that twerpy puppy doing the taunting.
He brought a fist down on the table in front of him, not as hard as he might have considering there was a teacher present. "Jus'elpin'a friend." The time for a**-kickery was... not now.

West's response to Damien's teasing was worth watching, and she didn't bother trying to hide the satisfied smile that crept along dark lips. It had been a point of interest in the past when they'd first met, and it remained so today. Her own emotions far cooler then his, she took a great amount of pleasure in watching his mood and anger flare so very rapidly.
She did turn back to the boil beside her though, looking down at his desk as he arranged his things upon it methodically. The absolute care in which he placed his things seemed fitting from what she knew of his character, which really wasn't terribly much.
His question regarding shoes had her blinking down at her feet, then further past them to the floor below and all the glass scattered around the whole of the floor. Shoes probably would have been a splendid idea, but how was she to know the classroom would be hazardous? Once more, her faith in the faculty of the school wavered. "Oh, I have shoes, I just don't prefer them. Today would have been a good day to wear some though, hmm?"
The sudden appearance of a fluffy head beside her drew her attention, and of course she reached for the pup the second recognition hit her. "Jove! It's so good to see you." She pulled him in for a quick squeeze before letting him go and patting the seat beside her, pausing as she noticed his tilted head. "Hmm?"

There was something odd about the way Riley headed into class today, despite there being nothing inherently different about it. She moved to a seat, put down her homework on the desk, and slid just slightly down into the seat. Perhaps it was the lack of greeting every acquaintance in the room - or the way she refused to sit up straight. Perhaps it was the fact that she wasn't particularly excited about a class that had previously been one of her favorites. The reasons behind Riley's silent, brooding entrance was a mystery.
All that really mattered was that she was here, and she was prepared. Her homework was fully grown, and tapping on the glass of it's jar, giving her puppy dog eyes to be allowed out.
She ignored it thoroughly.(( Riley is attending.))

Jove wagged his tail both at West, and the boil he recognized from their brief meeting on the island. He couldn't remember the other one's name, but he remembered the scent with sharp clarity. Amidst the damp sea air, with the smoke and fog... The pup couldn't help but touch his side, as he did whenever something brought back memories of the island.
Maybe it was the sharp bits of glass and splinters he had been walking over with careless disregard, but he thought he could feel his ribs ache...
Snorting, he pushed those frightening thoughts from his mind, and gave Yaya an even more exaggerated head tilt. Whatever it was he had first seen was gone now, she looked as happy, and clingy, as ever. He eyed the seat warily before sitting down, surely it would mean more touching from her, and he didn't know if it was excusable on account of her being all touchy with everyone. It was hard to tell if that thought was what put a slightly grumpy expression on his face, or that his feet didn't quite touch the floor.

Colette arrived to the classroom with her jar of homework, ready for another session of Human Studies 101. Her last memory of the classroom was that it was very wet, and it was no surprise when she saw that didn't change. The amount of glass and debris on the floor was very unnerving however, and she tried her best to avoid it, but the mess couldn't help but make her wonder what had taken place or may very well be in store. She hoped that this time there would be less detention, or at least she would be lucky to avoid it again.
After signing her name on the board, Colette made her way to an empty desk that seemed as dry as it could get and placed the jar containing her homework on its surface. She then began rummaging through her bag for something and soon produced a small towel. Yes, she was 'ready' and did bring a towel to sit on. Wet spots on the butt of your dress were not comfortable.
Leaving her bag on the floor and placing the towel on her chair, she folded the hanging excess for multiple layers and sat her rump upon it.

Damien wasn't surprised by West's reaction, no not at all considering he's been taunting him since the trip. And really how could he not make the joke after seeing how they were on the beach. He only hoped that the ghoul knew it was merely a joke, no malice in his words to her.
West? Eh, grumpy could take it, he was a big boil after all. He did notice as the desk gave a little shudder under the weight of the other boils fist. But it only made him grin wider as the bait was taken. "Nothing wrong with helping a friend, let me know next time. A friend should be there to hum a wedding song for you."
He watched as the mindflayer came into the room and gave her a curt nod, not wanting to get on her bad side anytime soon and spotted the puppy-like boil next to Yaya and gave him a wave from where he was, tail swishing to and fro in excitement of sharing a class with him.

More students filed in and more had those funny looking jars with those strange creatures in them. Charlie couldn't help feel a little excluded. He wanted a creature in a jar! One of them, a purple tentacled demon, had sat in front of him. Wait, he knew this ghoul. They had been partners in home ec. YEAH!
Charlie reached out and poked the back of her head.
"SPTTTSTPPPPPPTTTTTTTTTTTTTttttttttttttttttttttttT" He tried to get her attention. More poking to the head followed. "PTTTTTTTHHHHTHHHHH" Charlies tongue came out that time as if he was giving raspberries. Indeed the demon was not though. He was merely trying for Rily's attention.

It was really odd for Rosc to like anyone, especially someone in authority, but at the very least he respected and appreciated Prof. Savage. She was a little weird and easily annoyed and her classroom was probably the worst in the school, but she had accommodated him, allowing him to bring a personal-sized chalkboard to use in lieu of paper. He'd probably have to use paper for examinations, but little things could go on his board. He walked into the classroom and immediately pulled his collar up against the water. Leather didn't mix well with water, but as long as he took care of it after class it should be fine. "What in Jack's name happened in here?" he muttered under his breath, his homework in a jar in an outer pocket of his bag. The creature inside was grinning stupidly in a couple inches of water, tapping on the glass. He'd almost not put air holes in the lid. But then it was his homework, after all. He walked to the front of the classroom, took a piece of gray chalk from his bag, and wrote his name on the board before walking to his seat from before, near one of the walls, ignoring the other students as he did so. He didn't really know too many people here and none of them on speaking terms. And there were some he'd really rather not speak to. He made sure to take his homework out of his bag before setting it onto the seat next to him, attempting to claim one desk as he sat in another. (( Rosciel's present!))

Another class. Fun. She'd been sure to sign up for more interesting ones this time around. Really she did want to learn about humans since her background involved one at some point, how she'd never know but couldn't hurt to learn about those human things. Something had defiantly happened to this room. What she didn't know but it looked exciting.
Holly signed her name up on the sheet and looked around the room. She recognized a few faces which was good. Her first few classes had been awkward when she hadn't known anyone. The ghoul grinned and made her way to a seat behind West. Perfect. She could entertain herself by kicking his seat the entire class.

Draven scurried to the classroom, sure he was going to be late. He really didn't want to be late. Human Studies! They would get to learn about humans. This had been a topic he was sure he was an expert on. Well, as much as he could be. Humans were mysterious, for sure, so it couldn't hurt to learn more.
Upon reaching the door he stopped. The first thing he noticed was that the place was a mess. "Wow," he whispered. He'd never seen the classroom before, and while he wondered where the glass and splintered wood all came from. He couldn't think of a reason why a class about humans would be in this shape, but maybe the teacher liked the decor.
He glanced at all the students sitting around and chatting. At least it seemed he wasn't late! This made him quite happy. With a satisfied grin (he'd made it!) he moved to the front of the classroom and wrote his name on the list: Draven. He then turned and found an empty desk, taking care to brush some rubble off the seat before sitting.
"Hm?" Draven eyed the box on his desk. It seemed a bit odd, but then so did the classroom. Oh well. He turned his attention back to the teacher, wondering when class would start. This class was going to be great!
(Draven is ready for class!)

She was glad that there was another familiar face in the class (note: Mac) even if he seemed to be totally ignoring her and taking a seat that was not beside her or Charlie. Booo. Mean as ever.
"Hey Mac and... Other reaper I do not know~" She tilted her head at the newcomer, leaning forward over her desk with a smile, "I'm Lizzy, its nice to meet you." Nice to meet someone while not being on a field trip? Welcome back, normal life!
"Hm? Well, I missed the first Human Studies class, so I thought I might join this one," She turned to look at the Demon seated beside her while nodding with a grin that easily matched his, "I'm pretty excited!"

Mot looked over at the pink haired ghoul, smiling and nodding, even tipping his hat a bit. "Howdy ghoul I do not know either." He chimed back, amused.
"Mot. Pleasure is all mine." He said all friendly like. He listened in on the conversation Lizzy had with someone else. Oh, so he wasn't the only one who had not been here. Excellent. It was then he payed more attention to the thing on his desk. A model, perhaps? He poked at it a bit, leaning over it and inspecting it.

Despite his dislike for most classes . . . having been to the human world once already, and obtained a "human" minipet in the last class, Aksaja was actually looking forward to this one. So he'd scooped up said minipet and headed over to the classroom with just a few minutes to spare. Sauntering into the classroom, the lightning dragon glanced about for a moment and then plopped down into a desk, setting the minipet down in front of him. He wondered if they'd have another quiz or whatever.(( Aksaja is signin' up! ))
