Ziaram You may call me useless for the fact that I am learning swordsmanship with my left arm She thought he was gonna be moving from the tree? This was a spot where he could rest. He sighed softly to himself. She tends to my wounds, which was nice and all. Then again, that is her job. But she follows me out here, where the danger lies, and now expects me to go and rest. Can't she tell I am perfectly inclined to do just that?
Looking back up, he could tell she wasn't going to move. Although before he could say anything, someone yelled out to him. Yeah, you! With the cleric! What happened to you, kid? Shouldn't you be sleeping it off right now rather than headin' off to do that? You're gonna give the poor girl a migraine!
Looking up towards Annis, he gave his reply. "I was helping out when the war was going on, and made a mistake is all. I faced off against someone I thought I could best, and in the end, that foe nearly got my arm. If soldiers hadn't come to my aid, I would be dead right now." He then turned back to face Lena and finished his thought. "Besides, I can get enough rest here, and be ready to get back out on the battlefield in a flash. I can rest against a tree easily. I'm used to doing this anyways. It's a spot where I can easily relax and calm myself down." That said, he plopped back down against the tree, and lowered his head to the ground. All he had to do was wait for the call to move out. I say that this is just another challenge for me to overcome while my arm is recovering

"I cannot bear to watch others come to harm... Lena continued her small smile and sighed. "You are making my job so much harder than I wish it, and I do not even know your name sir." she said before thinking a little more. "Then again, I do not believe I gave mine, either. I am Lena. And since i know I've done a miracle to just convince you to not fight for a night, I will not pursue you going back to camp. But," she said with a small smirk, "though I am a cleric, do not think I do not know how to use some powerful light tomes on you or anyone else. Since this is a sparring field, I will be out here watching you and healing those around. So do not test me, please." Lena would not use her tomes at all, but she did know how to use them well and took an almost used-up tome of D spells should someone want light or the man beside her really just not want to obey her.
Lena looked around and no real matches had begun, but she still found it a good idea to stay around and observe. The hyper girl near her seemed to expect getting hurt; Lena would definitely need to watch for her.

It was really depressing when everyone who'd been contemplating sparring suddenly dropped the idea and essentially ran off- even Chince had dashed away towards a tent for more food like Ilyanna at dinnertime. Mia had been itching for a fight all day and right when she was about to get one it just slipped away... Plus the healer had reprimaned her to be more careful... Rhys always did that too... But she never listened- the only way to get stronger was to fight her hardest, even when sparring. She sighed.
Still, it wouldn't have been a fair fight fighting a guy using his weaker arm and who looked as beat up as she usually did getting out of a match with Ike- the cleric was probably right in saying that he needed rest... At the same time it was really depressing not finding a decent sparring partner.... her purplish hair fell over her shoulders as she hung her head in pseudo depression.
... Oh well... The only one who wore white was the cleric... And Mia very much doubted that she was the white clad rival she'd been searching for.
Her smile quickly returned when the commotion around camp started kicking up... "Seems like the bossmen are talkin' battle plans!" At least, that was what all the hubbub was suddenly about. Mia hoped they moved out soon, she was so restless being forced to sit in one place for too long without a good battle.

Chince had a hard time hearing what everyone was saying. She hoped when the fighting began, she'd be told to go somewhere and destroy whatever went in her way. When she was ready for a fight, everything would clear away in her mind. In fact she could speak fluently when she was in a fight... some thing she had noticed one of.... Her head started scratching again.
Chince ignored the feeling and thought about fighting. She looked back, now about half way between the camp and the trees and noticed that Mia was looking a bit sullen. Sure enough no one had pulled out a weapon. Now that she was fuller and a bit less hungry, she thought it would be the perfect time to see how people in this world fought, and if it was different then how she would.
Chince turned around, drew her sword, and announced her intentions,"Are you ready to fight Mia?" Her accent all but gone as a small trail of sparks flew off her sword hilt, the high friction metal it was composed of more then ready to cut.
Before Chince proceeded any further, she quickly warned about the blade, "You probably haven't seen a blade like this. Simply put, the metal can create sparks by hitting any hard surface. It won't burn, but it might surprise you when they clash."She was content with the explanation. These swords were common where she lived since they could act as a weapon and a flint and steel. Of course after this broke, she'd have to buy a normal sword again.

 Clara Risna
-----------------------------------------
Due to the fact that Melethia is a little lazy sometimes when it comes to RP post she really didn't have Clara do anything. Isn't she great?
Once Clara saw all the fuss that was going on with about 5 people, she knew she wasn't going to get a spar with anyone. She shrugged her shoulders and put herself back in the original position she was at on the tree branch. It was a good idea she didn't have a spar since a silver sword had limited uses. She also could have gotten hurt. Clara would have been mad at herself if she did that.

ﻬ Horatio ﻬ ▫ ▪Altiplos Warrior▪ ▫ By the look on Cyric's face, Horatio could tell that his liege wanted something of him. Did he have a personal request, or was it merely asking his advice? He didn't have to wait long at all to find out that it was the latter. "There are no apologies needed, Cyric! When there's business to be done, you can never be too soon." He nodded, agreeing with his own advice. "Our next move, you say..." Horatio considered the last part of Cyric's words, now trying to think of something as well.
And the news that came as very troubling. "There were no signs of life at all?" Horatio asked, his face now curling into a worried frown. "Not even the signs of retreat? But people don't just vanish out of thin air...! Wait..." Horatio shook his head when he recalled the invaders of the winter past. They had come what felt like out of thin air. "Okay, I can't rule out that possibility. Magic is a strange thing, ya know." Horatio finally concluded.
"Sending a small group in before we get a deeper look is the best idea I could think of though. Scouts can tell us a lot about what might be ahead, so we won't be in the dark about where to go next." Altiplos's leader now found it in him to make a small grin. "Don't worry, Cyric! Your idea is as good as what mine would have been. The question I want to know is 'who do we send' though?"⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹ My hammer forges new hope, My bow strikes for glory. May I bring you both, My liege, my country!

Without knowing I'm alone underneath this moonlight I've got a feeling that fragile things are being moved far off By the power of always believing you'll be near me
I called out only your name
Inside this light... On nights where it's like I can't catch hold of anything There isn't a day I don't think about it -Cyric- The scout idea would work better. Glad Cyric asked Horatio for advice because he would not be able to come up with everything alone. He pondered more a little bit, sending Horatio in was a little reckless...but he was about the only person he had here. Cyric thought a little bit more, took a deep breath, then replied. "I question that as well...Horatio, would you be willing to lead some of Learanian's volunteers in?" This of course, was after the scouts had made sure everything was in the clear zone. The king would go himself, however, Cyric needed to remember his place. He was no longer just the Captain of Estarcia, but he was also their King now. He couldn't go risking his life that easily anymore.
"All right then, alert the others and we'll depart in an hour." that should give everyone enough time to prepare, allow them some ration if they need as well. The meeting was done then, in about an hour, Estarcia and Learania's volunteers would move out toward Arajudia. Still, Cyric couldn't help but feel uneasy about the situation. ___________
I've been searching for the future forever. I've been searching for the future with you
You quietly gazed at me
Call out my name underneath this moonlight I promise I'll go see you, no matter where To your side

[Just so you know, we are switching the scene. Now we are within Arajudia. You can tie up any conversations/other things with a paragraph or two of flashbacks.]ﻬ Horatio ﻬ ▫ ▪Altiplos Warrior▪ ▫ Horatio remembered that just moments ago, he had agreed to lead the Learanian volunteers into Arajudia, the "vanished" town. He wasn't certain what would happen, or if it was even safe, but it was better he step there than Cyric, he thought. When asked, he didn't not even remember having a moment's hesitation. Of course he would go. Of course they would scout ahead. That was all he could do to help, really.
And now they were here. It was just as the reports had said, there wasn't a soul to be seen or heard here. No footprints, no sounds of animals, not even the signs of exit like open doors or windows. It was as if it were a city in name only, with the face of one, but not the populace to keep it going. Horatio looked behind him at the Learanian group of Mia, Annis, Chanice, Clara, Lena, and Ziaram. They were a small troop, but they would have to do.
"We should stick together, everyone." Horatio announced, taking on a much more serious tone than he was used to. "Whatever is ahead, we don't want to face without backup."⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹ My hammer forges new hope, My bow strikes for glory. May I bring you both, My liege, my country!

(PLOT!) Chince nodded understanding what he said quite clearly. She hoped that she would not have to talk since talking was the one thing she couldn't do. Hopefully she'd be able to fight to... Unlike last time.
Mia did not begin As was expected of her. Chince had decided that she would lead instead only to find the next moment that she had blacked out and fainted a few steps away from target. She had also decided to reveal that moment that she hadn't had water in 3 (days) years to the shock of everyone.
But that was then. This was now. She moved closer to the group so as to be ready in case of a flank on the left side.

{Blah... Sorry I haven't posted... Just had the biggest lack of inspriation ever whenever I tried to. I couldn't come up with anything but one liners... But this one should work... Even though it's still not that great....
Sorrriesss....}
Mia had been excited for a sparring partner, and had stood at the ready, completely on guard and prepared to draw her sword when the time was right and attack with both her sword and sheathe as Ike had taught her.... But then Chince had fainted halfway into her assault, and Mia had to leap back so as to not reflexively draw her sword as she'd been about to... Then one thing had led to another and the sparring match ended up being forgotten- it seemed that all potential sparring partners were either injured or in bad health some way or another.... And then the next thing she knew she'd been chosen by one of the bossmen for an infiltration mission... It was dissapointing to miss out on a sparring match... But that was a close second at least.
She stood at the ready, hand on the hilt of her sword, as she awaited orders. While her usual smile played about her face, she was fired up and ready to go.
{Blah... sorries...}

"I cannot bear to watch others come to harm... Lena was surprised plans were being made so quickly but nodded understanding her duty. As far as she was aware, she was the only one who would be able to heal and examined the people she would hopefully be able to watch over. It was such a small group, she partially expected more casualties. She decided she would bring more powerful spells, so that she could fight whenever someone didn't need her for recovery.
"So soon?" Lena asked respectfully. She wanted to prepare. Everyone else coming seemed like the types who were more close-distant fighters. She hoped one of them knew archery or magic, but she didn't think that would be the case and so wanted to get some more range-abled swords readied.
... knowing I have the power to help." (I'm with Wrath at not knowing what to write. I hope things'll pick up now! ^.^; I think she's allowed to requests swords made for everyone, right? Edit: I fail.)

 Clara Risna
-----------------------------------------
Clara stood around the middle of the group. One hand was on her sword, just in case something was going to try a surprise attack. The look on her face was very serious. Her eyes were looking all around.
"There isn't a single sign of life around," She said. "Did they all leave, or did they die?" The grip on her sword got tighter as she said that. She was trying all she could to not look sad for what happened here. The myrmidon had to stay strong. She would morn later if need be.

The group entered the city and began traversing its main street. Everything was silent. Nothing moved, unless the breeze grew enough strength to tap it. Even the air seemed chilling. The term 'ghost town' seemed like an understatement.
However, once the group were all inside and a ways away from the city's gate, it suddenly started to creek. If they turned around, they would would see it closing, blocking them off from their exit. There was no time to retreat. They were too far away from it to get there before it was completely shut. It had been planned that way. The city's trap had been sprung once more.
"You... are not the new Estarcian king." came an echoing voice that pierced the group's ears. Once they saw the man who spoke, they would see that he stood on an elevated pathway that connected the town hall and the barracks across the street. A soldier stood to his left and right. Behind him opened up to the market square, which led to the docks. Before him was the main street, with buildings on each side... and also a group of trapped rats. "Still, you will prove useful. My... hope was that the king, bathed in obnoxious valor, would take it upon himself to come." He looked down at the group with apathetic eyes. "However... I... highly doubt that he will so calmly accept one of his commanders being taken prisoner. With you in my possession... he will come... and we will seize him. That will lead to the end... of Estarcia's involvement in the war."
He grinned slightly. "Why... am I telling you this so freely? Because... you really have no choice in the matter. You may not see them... but you all have arrows currently aimed at you. To prove it..." He waved only two fingers and an arrow suddenly shot out and lodged into the cracks in the cobblestone by Horatio's feet. The man kept his two fingers raised. "So... Commander... The way I see it, you have two choices. You can surrender right now and I may let you live.. or you can be stupid."

Ziaram You may call me useless for the fact that I am learning swordsmanship with my left arm Things were too silent when they walked in. That is never a good sign when entering a town. Sure they were together, but at any moment things could go wrong for them.
True to that word, behind them the gate shut off, blocking their exit from the town. We walked ourselves into a trap. However...there are ways around this. He looked around the town and had that eerie feeling they were being watched.
You... are not the new Estarcian king. Ziaram looked up towards where the voice came from, and saw the lone man staring down at them. He didn't seem that formidable of an enemy, and if he had a ranged weapon he would shoot something at him.
Still, you will prove useful. My... hope was that the king, bathed in obnoxious valor, would take it upon himself to come. Just by this part, he could tell what this man was planning. He wanted them to be his little prisoners of war so they could drag out King Cyric. Well he wasn't sure this was a well thought out plan till the arrows were shot down at them.
So... Commander... The way I see it, you have two choices. You can surrender right now and I may let you live.. or you can be stupid. There had to be a way around both options, and there is always that silver lining you can take. By the sounds of it, they were surrounded where they were. So in order to get around that, they had to move away from their current situation.
A quick look around the city showed the side streets they could run to. Surely there could be soldiers waiting for them, but they had to get away from here first. Looking back at Horatio, who said earlier that they had to stay together, he quietly said, "Sir we need to regroup later. Right now the best option is to scatter into the side streets around us. We won't be surrounded that way." After saying that, he took off straight to his right for the nearest side street from their position. If the others were to follow his example they could get out of this. I say that this is just another challenge for me to overcome while my arm is recovering

ﻬ Horatio ﻬ ▫ ▪Altiplos Warrior▪ ▫ "A trap?! I should have guessed! You Mordacians can ever do things the honest way." Horatio hissed when he saw Vern, tightening his firsts. "And so what if I'm not my liege! I wouldn't give him the trouble of dealing with you!" The warrior said. He was about to go for his hammer, but then something in Vern's words made Horatio freeze in place.
"You can either surrender, or be stupid."
The Estarcian warrior remembered the last time those words were spoken to him, and it brought up a bit of his memory he wasn't proud of. That cold-hearted tactician had given him the same decision, and when Horatio refused to surrender, the city of the great forges was taken by the sage and his soldiers. So many lives were lost when he had promised victory. If he had just bowed his head, he wouldn't have been mourning his people.
Horatio came close to bending his knee. He came close to uttering the words that would spare this group the same fate. However, the words of a young swordsman snapped him out of his trance brought on by an unpleasant flashback. That's right, there was a third option! "Good call, Ziaram! The best soldier knows when to retreat." He said, grinning as he darted out of sight for now into one of the side streets. Even if the archers pursued him, he could engage them in smaller numbers and pack a larger punch.⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹⊹ My hammer forges new hope, My bow strikes for glory.
