When one of the petals caught onto a stong breeze, she squeaked and ran after it, leaping up to catch it, similar to her butterfly chase earlier. Remembering how that had ended, she stumbled to a halt and turned around, scurrying back to Calder. Sticking her thumb into her mouth for comfort, she padded over to see what had his interest, ears perking at the crawling bug.

Reaching down to touch the ant, he stopped with a finger hovering just above it. He wanted to touch it but wondered if he would squish it if he did. His problem was solved when Glorianna came over. He straightened up and looked at her. He wondered why she was sucking on her thumb. He didn't dwell on it long cause the ant was moving off his foot. He watched it go marching off in the dirt and then back at her with a smile.

Her eyes followed the ant until it vanished into the dirt. Catching the boy's gaze again, she pulled her thumb back out and smiled, purring softly. Gasping softly, she grabbed Calder's shoulder with one hand and pointed at a leaf with the other. Or, more specifically, the large spider on the leaf that sat watching them with mild interest.

He tilted his head wondering what had caught her attention. He quickly figured it out when she pointed to a leaf. He saw the large spider and made a grimace. It wasn't his favorite bug to see... the eyes and mouth tended to creep him out. Especially after a horrifying morning where he woke up with one on his face. He shuddered as he remembered that and stepped away from the leaf.

While Calder stepped away, Glorianna stepped closer, intrigued by the little bug. She grabbed the tip of the leaf and pulled down for a better look, the spider clutching tighter to its green pedestal. She cooed curiously, looking back at her new friend and babbling excitedly.

Calder shook his head as she moved closer. No way was he going to get any closer. Instead he walked to a different flower and knelt on the ground. He began moving the dirt around and soon found a worm. He grinned as he pulled it from the ground. He held it out to her still grinning.

She watched the spider with wide eyes as it began moving again. It was crawling toward her hand when she looked over to the boy digging in the ground. When the worm was presented to her, she immediately forgot about the spider, the leaf flopping up and down when she let go, leaving behind the disgruntled spider. Hurrying the few steps to Calder, she reached out and poked the slippery thing, squeaking with delight as it reacted by curling up and around the blue hand that held it.

He was glad that she left the icky spider and came to play with him and the worm. He held out his hand with the curled up worm to her. He wanted her take it so she can play with it. He would dig out another for himself.

Looking between the cattaur and the worm, she grinned and carefully plucked up the squirmy worm, giggling as it wiggled around in her hands. The mucusy goo it left on her hands made her wrinkle her nose, but it was also interesting. She babbled and rubbed the gunk between her fingers, playfully sticking out her tongue in amused disgust.

He grinned and began digging for another worm. This one took longer to find and the resulting hole was much bigger. He looked at the hole and used his free hand to fill it back in. Didn't want to hurt the plant or the ground by leaving a big hole. When he looked back up he caught her sticking her tongue out which made him silently laugh.

Spying the other's shoulders shaking with the silent laugh, she followed along with her own high pitched giggle. When the worm started trying to crawl from her hands and up her arm, she babbled loudly for Calder's attention. It liked her!

He looked at her when she giggled and then tried to get his attention. He saw the worm moving up her hand to her arm. It did seem like it liked her. His own worm was just content to curl around his fingers.

As the worm continued its path, Glorianna started to frown. What if it was trying to go into her ear? Or up her nose?! Gasping, she grabbed the worm and put it back into her had, scolding it firmly for trying something naughty. Then she stuck her lip out and pouted at the still wiggling worm.

He was growing bored with his worm so he put it back on the ground. He watched it burrow it's way back into the dirt before turning to Glorianna. He missed her scolding her worm and was wondering why she was pouting.

Seeing Calder put his worm back on the ground, she quickly smiled and followed suit. Then she picked up a handful of dirt and scrubbed some of the goo off her fingers. Looking at her dirty hands, she held them out and laughed. They needed to be washed!
