Devon had made it to a large open field on the other side of town from the school, but it was hardly considered even part of the town, and he stretched his arms over his head, then looked around. After a moment of scanning the horizon, Devon walked to the center of the field, laying down on the middle of the tall green grass, and he was just barely visable through the thick and wildly grown grass, his eyes dull as he stared in the sky. Eventually he closed his eyes, sighing once and the he began to just dooze off.

Devon had fallen asleep long by now, and he was a heavy sleeper, so he didn't even move when Ze tripped over him, but his head rolled to the side, his hair falling into his eyes. Normally, Devon wouldn't fall asleep just anywhere, but lately he'd just been so tired that he never really cared where he slept, he even began to sleep during class and lunch at school, but it wasn't like many people'd notice it anyway, since he wasn't very noticable during those times in the first place.

Devon only quietly groaned when Ze called out to him, and he roll to his side, facing the younger boy and bringing his legs up closer to himself. His skin however, was burning up. Devon had a fever for the past day and a half, but he lived alone, and Devon was the kind of guy who always thought that toughing it out was the best way to get rid of pain, but his body disagreed. Instead of sleeping a lot like he should be, Devon would only allow his body a couple hours of sleep, then be up and moving around a lot and his body was beginning to crash. Hard. His face became red and burning hot, his breathing becoming a bit rasppy but it wasn't too noticable; however, his facial expression stayed the same, and he didn't toss and turn like most people would in this situation, only sleeping peacefully.

After a little bit, Devon's eyes opened from the cool chill that the ice pack on his forehead, and he was confused when he looked up and found Zee next to him, "What are you doing here? Where am I?" he asked, and he sat up quickly, startled, but a wave of dizziness washed over his mind and he almost fell back down, but he slowly lowered himself with great effort, "What's going on?" he asked, and it was followed by a short fit of quiet coughs.

Devon looked up at Ze blankly for a moment, blinking several times before he processed the situation, but his sighed and closed his eyes, and it took all he had to keep from smirking, "It's not that bad. I've only had the fever for a day or two." he said, clearing his throat and grimacing, "But the soar throat and flim that's beginning to build up is new." he said, repositioning himself to where he was sitting up but he wasn't dizzy.

Devon raised an eyebrow, looking at Ze skeptically, "If you don't mind me asking, why are you so upset about me getting sick?" he asked, giving the other an expecting glance.

Devon's eyes narrowed slightly at Ze's reaction, suspicion rising in his yes, but he didn't say anything about it to the boy, "Alright then, explain to me how you knew that I wasn't just fine while I was out in the field, what if I was just sleeping there?" he asked, knowing that there was no way for Ze to now that he was burning up and sick unless he were to touch his skin, and since his face was the only skin that was displayed...

Devon couldn't help but laugh quietly at the other, "Fine then, but answer me this one last question... why are you reacting so stiffly when I ask you about what happened? Are you keeping something from me about what you did?" he asked, smirking. His eye lids began to feel heavy and they were only half open now, but he kept his eyes open and his focus on Ze for his anwer, not wanting to fall asleep before he got an answer to please his curiousity.
