Aksaja frowned as Claire started babbling about dying again, and then something about glowing . . . and not letting doctors in. "Y'know, maybe more doctors could be a good thing," he murmured. Though Malodore seemed to have things well in hand. Or claw, as it were. In truth, Aksaja felt sort of useless now. Malodore had said she would need some kind of support for walking, though?
Well, maybe he could help there. "Help like, what? A cane or something?" he asked, glancing about the room. Of course it was unlikely that Claire would have something so useful lying about, but maybe he could go find one.

"THEY MAY NOT HAVE THE DOCTORS MEETING IN HERE!!! THEY WILL EAT MY FO--- Aren't canes for old people?" Yelling, then whining. Claire put on a frowny face. "Do you want cake, Aksaja?"

.....
Malodore decided it was best to leave well enough alone. "Yes, like a cane or other support device," it said, nodding to Aksaja. "Walking unsupported would be a very bad idea at this juncture."

Claire didn't want a cane...Or did she? She'd look like she was in an old movie, plus people would pay attention to her. This was goooooood.
"QUICKLY! GET ME A PAI---I MEAN CANE!"

Aksaja blinked at the sudden yelling and then nodded, jumping up. Instead of going out the door, he actually headed for the window, opening it to jump straight out into the sky. Obviously she wanted a cane FAST, so flying was better, right?
In a few minutes, he came back with a more-or-less straight piece of wood that he'd picked up at the edge of the forest. "Hopefully this'll work?"

When Aksaja returned - sooner than Malodore had expected - the plague doctor eyed the stick, then shrugged. "It seems satisfactory enough. Perhaps some padding to ease the grip. Simple enough to add. Claire?" it added, nodding to her. She was the one who would have to judge, after all.

"COOL OKAY SOUNDS FUNKY!" said Claire, bobbing up and down slightly. She could rock that look. Malingdore couldn't though. Claire was sure of that.

Padding, padding . . . Aksaja frowned slightly, then actually took off his shirt and kind of tore and wadded it up to wrap around the top of the stick. Probably not very good padding.
But it looked stylish now, he rather thought . . .

Malodore tilted its head so far sideways that its hat almost fell off. "I was going to use some cotton and gauze," it told Aksaja, looking utterly bemused as its gaze traveled from shirtless dragon to shirt-wrapped cane and back again. "Er, not that the sentiment isn't appreciated, mind..."
Nonplussed. Utterly nonplussed.

Aksaja blinked at that. "Oh. Uhm, well I didn't know if there was any here and . . . . " he trailed off with a little shake of his head. Hopefully Claire also appreciated it, though?

Claire looked dramatically at Mal and Aksaja before saying " I should rest now... so long!" She reached to her side and grabbed the remote for her TV and started channel surfing. TV was good. Better than bandages. Maybe the pain was going to her head. ((if you want to wrap it up soon?))

Malodore blinked, then looked at Aksaja. That was... well, abrupt. How very odd demons could be sometimes.
"Er... I'll see myself out, then?" it said, politely. "I hope you heal swiftly, Claire. Do let me know if you have any trouble with that."

Aksaja blinked as well, and then offered a bit of a shrug to Malodore. "All right. See you later, Claire," he murmured, and headed for the door. He'd just remember. No dancing next time.
