Meanwhile, there was nothing Hiro could do but try to block the attacks. He had realized mere moments before that he could probably get an attack to connect in the instant that the zebra-like monster hologram hit him, but Hiro couldn't get the timing right.

Another hit sent him to floor. Getting back to his elbow, Hiro could barely hear something coming in. Ever since the room had first darkened and the sparing match had begun, Hiro couldn't hear anything from anyone or anything. He figured that some of these "monsters" had to be the other recruits, but he still hadn't been able to hear them all the same. Rolling on his stomach and getting up to his elbows, he saw the same monster he had fought earlier running towards them.

Suddenly Hiro got a crazy idea. He threw himself back on his back and did a kip-up that he had learned to do from watching professional wresting as a child. Back on his feet, Hiro waited until the charging monster (Evan) attempted a running drop-kick at the zebra who in turn connected with a wild punch of his own. In the same instant, Hiro had spun around to avoid the possible drop kick and delivered a back handed fist blow to the zebra's "jaw."

As both attacks had connected at the same time as the zebra's wild punch, they successfully connected. The zebra-insect monster back peddled from the blows before disappearing into the darkness.

"I have no idea what your talking about." Flowers said.

Shawn wasted no time as he moved to attack the creature. 'I won't let my training go to waste.' he thought as he moved to attack over for it to move out of the way at the last moment. 'Damn it, it's faster then i thought it was. "We can't keep avoiding it. We need to attack as a group."

(Sorry but right now i am confused as to what is going on))


Ryu charged in and jumped, kicking a moster right in the arm. He then rolled back to his feet and blinked when he heard about the plan to gather up. "Whoever said that...good idea. We need to focus and regroup. We are supposed to be a team right? Then lets act like it!"

(( I'll do this big framing post since there is confusion and stuff:
- We all are exposed to the dimension that Omega Energy hails from before we were given our rooms at the base.
- Our powers are based on the hybrid concept, the primary of the two being our strongest powers overall.
- Our secondary animal has powers too which are mostly minor but will grow in time like our primary ones.
- We should begin to have the primary powers start to emerge, since we all have been in the dimension not long ago. You can have it during this "sparring" or our first battle in a bit. It isn't like something we're born with. It will get stronger over time the more we use them.
- Our morphers will be given very very soon, our first battle not far after, and beyond that is gradual introductions of things such as personal weapons and mecha as they are finished in production.
- With this sparring session, Jes has taken the approach that we have a holographic capable room. If you know Star Trek, think a holodeck.
- From everything I got from actually reading posts, the goal of this session is to play against our senses by darkening the room and using the room to block our communication. We all see the others on the team as monsters and can't tell a hologram from a person. It is essentially pitting us against one another and not allowing something like a teamup.
- I didn't plan out the sparring, but I got the above two points simply by reading Jes' posts. I know that Jes and I can post a lot of text or post a lot in general, but it would help if things were read. I'll try to summarize stuff if you PM me about it and don't have the time to catch up or something. Jes is welcome to helping too.

*Running more from the flying monster he didn't know was holographic, the teen tried his best to stay ahead of it. The beetle was quicker however and was closing distance on him quickly. Closing his eyes, he knew he had to run faster to get away. Suddenly zipping forward, he hit into one of the other monsters and came tumbling to a crashing halt. Rolling to a stop, he laid on the ground once more. This time he really didn't want to get up, but fear of being a sugar-filled snack for the monsters made him spring up again. Seeing the beetle monster no where in sight, he was glad to have lost one monster, but looked to see what monster he had ran into this time a few feet away.*
((Kira, Shawn or Ryu is the monster he runs into. Whoever wants to be ran into and tripped over feel free to respond. ))

"Name's Ryu Altez...now i recommend we attack together..it shoul..." He didnt get a chance to finish as he was suddenly ran into. He blinked and grumbled falling onto his back. "Great..i get tackled by a monster football player apparently."

Shawn blinked a few times as he looked down at the bear like being that he had knocked down. 'Something feels wrong here.'

*Rubbing his face in several areas where he had been hit, he wasn't prepared to rush in to attack any more of these monsters. Confused on his location and not realizing the distance he had just traveled, he continued to move around in the dark. Not able to see what he had ran into due to the darkness, he continued to try and stay away from any more monsters until the lights popped back on. Blocking the piercing and irritating light with his hands for a second, he put them away as his eyes adjusted to the lighting again.

Looking around, he noticed the others from before were in the room. No monsters were in sight.* Did I imagine all that? My face is screaming at me still, but how did they make all those monsters appear? And where had the others been too? *Looking over to the noise the doors made when opening, he noticed Flowers walk in and begin commending them. The complement and shift in glance towards him made him grin and beam with pride, despite not actually having done anything worth being so proud in and having his face ache horribly. The feeling of glee in himself allowed him to be completely unaware of what was said next.

The door opened again as an adult male walked into the room. Behind him two guard-looking OASIS members came in seconds later, one carrying what appeared to be some sort of high-end suit case. Both of his hands in the pockets of his larger-than-he-needed labcoat. His only visible eye shifted around from behind the glasses, looking at the people in front of him and absorbing who each one was in person. Staying a bit away form Flowers or the others, he motioned quickly to one of the guards who went over to the commander of the base before his hand went back into his pocket.*

Just got them all finished up. *Looking back over to the recruits before over to flowers again.* They will still need some post-adjustments to both the system and the physical components, but they are functional and can be employed when needed. *The teen looked confused to who the weirdo with the eyepatch and glasses was, but became quickly more interested in what might be in the case. Beaming with pride still, the young man began making his way closer to better hear what was being said.*

*Walking from his spot, he went over towards the others. Eying each person individually he gathered his thoughts on how to approach them. Despite not having loomed in the nearby area like Flowers, he was still observing the recruits and seeing how they fought. More importantly, what they could do.*

I'm sure your all here for your different reasons. A sense of purpose, a sense of belonging, a way to stand out or above, to prove yourself or uphold your perception of justice. Whatever the reason, your now fighting for this place. O.A.S.I.S.. You all should know why your here, have gone through the hoops and hurdles, and now need to be armed for what is to come.

*Turning from his speech, Theus looked to the guard who held the case. The other guard went over and opened the case, raising the lid on it to reveal five stylish wrist-band devices. They looked mostly the same, very refined and lightweight yet durable, with their primary visible differences being a stripe of color different to each brace. Walking over with the two behind him, he looked to each person as they did their rounds. First, giving Kira hers.*

As I said, these devices need some adjustment still, but they will work as intended. I will need to modify them as I see your performances with using them. *The guards moved over, passing to Shawn to give him his wrist device.* They have a number of functions, but the important one is the ability to accelerate the e- *He cut himself off, knowing he could go into some long winded explanation. Cutting it short as they moved on to give Ryu his bracelet, he continued to talk.*

To sum it up easier... You will be able to armor yourselves and fight on a higher level than you can now. *The young man who was still rubbing his face a bit was given his brace. Looking it over he was interested in how it worked. Putting it on his wrist, he strapped it on as tightly as he wanted it to be and looked at it on his wrist.* Nice! This thing can tell time in American right? I don't want to have to count on my fingers in the middle of a fight or something just to know the time. *Ignoring the comment, Theus continued on.* You'll come to know these devices better through extended use. For now, just know that they will be your main weapon for the fight ahead.

*Receiving his brace last, Hiro was given his device. The case was closed and the guard went off to return the case and go onto their next duties. Walking away himself, but at a slower pace, Theus turned his back to them and began to make for the exit. He had better things to do than to keep helping them, more important gadgets to work on or iron out.* Use the Kouken Braces well. In a few days I'll be coming to each of you personally to help refine them. *Without adding more, Theus left the room.*
