Not knowing your own pokemon's moves and taking the time shuffle through the lift to try and figure it out was dangerous, and left you way to open for attack, its a good thing Izaya was learning this now though, during training, its what training was for after all.
Faleen let him be, waiting as she watched for Celty to pick a proper move to use.

The same could not be said for Spiritomb however, the dark ghost cackling madly from his stone, having to be reminded quietly by a word of Faleen to hold his ground.

Celty found an attack she knew, and Izaya choice the target for her, being Faleen own Spiritomb.
The pokemon who had been cackling like a freak to the point he was struck.
His stone was thrown, dragging him with it.
tumbling to the floor with a heavy crack!

"Get up" Faleen said, no louder then she had to.
Not that she needed to say anything, the Spiritomb was righting himself, lifting off the ground a couple of feet once again, and shrieking in both laughter and fury, the mixed souls clearly had different reactions to the attack.
"Ominous Wind"

Spiritomb seemed to explode as his matter stretched very suddenly spreading his orbs, and making his face look tiny in comparison.
the wisps of black swirled around him with greater speed, filling the room with sudden gushes of dark, sharp wind, aimed for the target who had struck him first.

Faleen tilted her head slightly, watching her first dark infused pokemon, so far the work they had put into him seemed to be paying off, even if he was a little obnoxious still with his noise.
Still, she watched him like a hawk.

Right. Battling.
".. 'Kay. Ready." She barely had time to confirm before it seemed like the battle was underway.
And that dark type was still... cackling. She tried not to shudder any more.
Scary ghost type from the depths of the abyss was nothing more than an opponent. Just a target to attack.
Okay, a really frightening, strong and nightmarish target...

"Neph, use-" Tambrey stared at the empty space that the spider had occupied a moment ago and frowned, looking up to see Neph charging straight for the ghost's confuse ray attack.
She sighed. Already this was not going well.
"Neph. Stop! Poison the stone!" She tried to call after the troublesome bug type, balling her fists in frustration, yet completely unsurprised as the spinarak charged into the confuse ray and promptly changed direction randomly, stumbling over herself.
Oh, wonderful... Tambrey thought sarcastically as the confusion in Neph was pretty clear.
Well, then. Pygi.
The dark-haired grunt switched her attention to the flying type.
"Pygi, try and blind the Glaceon!"
Perhaps she was actively avoiding the dark spiritomb; her commands seemed dropped out a little urgently, though not without some sort of thought at least.

Pygi certainly seemed to take some confidence that Celty was actively seeking to protect her and wanted to go up with the ghost type and battle together, but a trainer's command was a trainer's command, even if the little bird thought going against an ice type like Skiron was very risky for her.
At least it was just a sand attack, though. The pidgey took aim and swooped.

Eyes widened as Izaya realized what was happening. He was proud of Celty, sure, but why did she have to go after the dark pokemon first?! He didn't have that much confidence in their power. Or even just hers, for that matter. Was she crazy?

No, this was his fault; he should have specified a target. Something smaller or easier to attack. Not that there was any guaranteeing Celty would have listened to him, seeing as she seemed to have a weak spot for those that were...well, weaker than her. Quiet and good-natured though she was, the Spiritomb was still obviously ambitious.

Tightening his grip anxiously on his 'dex when Frost ordered Skiron on Celty, Izaya had only more reason to panic. Was she vulnerable while she was in that shadowy form? What if both pokemon attacked her at the same time? At least ice wasn't strong on a dark and ghost-type, right?

Still, Skiron was obviously far more experienced than Celty, and Frost most definitely knew what he was doing. Things didn't look so good in Izaya's end. How in the world was he supposed to help his pokemon? He didn't even know what attack Frost had ordered Skiron to use until the Glaceon fired the Ice Beam.

The technique of communication by whistling was pretty impressive. Izaya hadn't even realized that was possible. "...Is that allowed?" he gaped, awestruck. It seemed almost against the rules to not allow your opponent to know which attack you were using on them. Then again, the trainee reminded himself, they were Team Rocket. They didn't follow typical rules.

There was a crack. What was that? It couldn't be. Celty had thrown her target aside? It had to be beginner's luck. She'd probably just caught him off guard because the spooky thing was busy cackling its head off. Izaya wasn't about to underestimate the dark pokemon just now. Nor was he going to underestimate Faleen. Whatever Celty had done, it just looked as though she'd made her dark counterpart both amused and angry with her attempt.

Trainee Nakura had to pull his parka tighter around him as Ominous Wind came into play. He hadn't realized an attack like that could be so strong in such a neutral environment like the training room. It was frightening.

Celty was caught in a bind. Hit by Ominous Wind and Ice Beam at the same time. Her remaining energy to fight was at a very critical level when she heard Izaya shouting something over the gusts of sharp wind. What was that...? When his words didn't reach her, she saw him use gestures; charades. What was he getting at? Sleeping...?

Hypnosis. Of course. That was the other move she had been able to demonstrate back at the outpost. With what little of her strength remained, the ghost-type turned to Faleen's Spiritomb, realizing Skiron was already being taken care of by Pygi. At least she might be able to make it easier for the little bird pokemon before she was down and out. She directed her soothing waves of sleep at the laughing and infuriated spirits that made up the dark ghost.

Blast - Frost pursed his lips as Pygi sent a wave of sand into Skiron's eyes - that was all he needed. Ah well, it was hardly critical just yet, and if accuracy became a major issues he could fall back on Swift, though obviously not against the ghost types....

Had Izaya really just asked that? Frost raised one eyebrow at the trainee. Did he really think that Team Rocket played fair? Good grief. "Why give you opponent the advantage of knowing what you are doing?" he asked rhetorically before giving two short whistles to Skiron.

Shaking himself and blinking at the sand in his eyes as he tried to focus the ice-type obeyed the command to repeat previous attack and target; another Ice Beam shot towards Celty.

Without waiting to see if the attack would hit home or not Frost turned his attention onto his other pokemon "Persephone, now Faint Attack the bird!"

Cackling gleefully the swirl of spirits vanished back inside the keystone, which promptly vanished. A moment later the large rock reappeared just above Pygi, dropping down to smack the bird on the head before vanishing once more and reappearing in its previous position. As the spirits burst forth once more they screeched their glee, and when the golden face reappeared it was set in an expression of savage glee.

((You can decide if the Ice Beam hits or not Kit :3 ))

Rocket Agent Faleen

A soft smile played on Faleen's lips when Izaya questioned if something was allowed, but let Frost reply, since he had the right idea of how to answer that question.
Indeed they were Team Rocket, their only goal, was to win, by any means necessary.

A hypnosis was fired at Spiritomb, Faleen tilted her head as she watched the attack start to take affect on her pokemon.
This drew a silence from Faleen, finding it pointless to give an order when her pokemon would be sleeping through it.

She waited though, watching as Spiritomb's red voids for eyes started to droop, and the wisps that made up his presence start to become airy, and scattered, slowly, but steadily flowing back into the keystone as he drifted to sleep.

Faleen did not recall him, she simply stood, and watched, looking as if she was going to wait out the attack's affects. despite the danger those might pose to her pokemon.

Neph was just spraying web at whatever target happened to cross into her vision.
She was so confused! Where was the enemy?! They were everywhere! It was a trick! Everything was the enemy, everything was the target! She had to neutralise everything! Wait? What if /she/ was being controlled! She should take out herself just to make sure!
In short, due to the confusion, a very angry spider was sending webbing everywhere.

Tambrey was reluctant to call her back though; if she broke the confusion and battled properly she was hoping that Neph would be another step closer to actually obeying commands. A Spinarak, if she could get her to behave, would be a wonderful addition to the team.
"Come on, Neph... Calm it down. Break the confusion..." She muttered, then looked again to Pygi. Her eyes widened.
Oh, that wasn't good.

The faint attack hit the bird true, damaged her and stunned her a little.
Ow! What was that? It hurt a lot! And she'd lost her altitude quite a bit. She recovered her wits before she'd hit the ground but she found herself quite upset. Sure, it was a battle and they were supposed to attack eachother but this 'faint attack' thing just seemed unfair and rude. To be snuck up on and hit around the head... It just wasn't fair.

"Pygi! Keep up the Sand Attack for now!" Ignore the ghost, ignore the ghost; she'd try to deal with that in a moment. Skiron was the one they could affect best right now. And she had to admit, she was surprised at Izaya's question; Frost's method of pokemon control was pretty clever and admirable. She might try to see how difficult that would be to teach to some of her pokemon... This wasn't the time (though it might be a good place) to consider it though; too much to focus on.

Pygi was more than happy to try and continue that! She could help her friend, maybe. If accuracy was affected, ice beams might miss right? She went in for another sand attack, but was wary of the ghost types apart from Celty now; they didn't fight fair and she'd be glad, too, when she could engage them to keep an eye there... Neph certainly didn't seem to be capable of helping right at the moment.

Hearing Frost's rhetorical question and seeing the looks on his, Faleen's, and Tambrey's faces, the trainee understood immediately that he had just advertised his own ignorance in the strategics of pokemon battles. Did that mean they were free to cheat whenever? Could they play dirty? Send out five pokemon at once to attack an opponent?

Not that he had five pokemon to send out at the moment, but it was an intriguing notion. He preferred to think of that rather than the fact that his one and only pocket monster was fading fast. Oh well; he hadn't really expected to last that long anyway. It was his first 'real' battle in a long time, not counting whatever actions they had taken to hold off the police at the outpost.

Trainee Nakura watched carefully as Faleen's dark dark-and-ghost type slowly began to drift off. Of course that didn't mean it was out of the battle just yet, but it would be a while before it woke. At least that was the hope. By then, though, Celty would have likely already been knocked out. Better than getting obliterated by a single, powerful attack as soon as the battle had begun, he supposed. That would have just been plain embarrassing.

Celty, relieved that the dark Spiritomb had nodded off, immediately noticed that Pygi was being attacked and rushed to her rescue. Although Izaya had not commanded her to do such a thing, it was probably good that she had, for Skiron's Ice Beam blasted the spot her and her Odd Keystone had been positioned at moments earlier. That Sand-Attack had probably helped with throwing off the Glaceon's aim. Celty hesitated in shock before continuing onward. She had to help Pygi!

Well, if Pygi insisted on attacking Skiron, Celty could go for Persephone. She felt she was better suited to face the black and yellow dark-and-ghost type anyway, and two of Frost's experienced pokemon against one little Pidgey just wasn't fair. Weak but motivated, Celty attempted another Hypnosis at Persephone. Izaya grimaced once he recognized what she was up to. What were the chances the sleeping attack would work a second time...? Though, he supposed he couldn't think of a better attack for her to use at the moment.

More Sand Attacks. Mmfh. Frost pursed his lips for a moment before giving a different tone of whistle to Skiron. Calling his understanding the Glaceon closed his eyes and unleashed a deadly accurate - though not especially powerful - Swift upon Pygi.

Persephone meanwhile was annoyed; that little thing had tried to make them sleep! Not waiting for a word from Frost the Forbidden pokemon slammed into Celty with a Faint Attack.

Faleen had fully expected her opponent to take full advantage of her Spiritomb's state of sleep, and was interested to see if he would be able to withstand a barrage of attacks while completely defenseless.
To her surprise though, nothing of the sort happened.

She blinked as the Spiritomb she had been battling, instead (and without her master's command) moved off in the defense of another pokemon.
That kind of behavior would certainly be dangerous outside of training.
She continued to wait out her pokemon's revival, though she noticed some smoke was already starting to stir from this keystone.

Her immediate surroundings coated in webbing- and having tried to bite at herself to break whatever control that she believed the other pokemon had gained over her, Neph was finally coming out of confusion, yet somewhat beaten up and much slowed down than she had been at the start of the fight.
Tambrey was unaware of her spider pokemon's recovery from the confusion, still watching and directing Pygi, and thus missed the Spinarak's pause and re-evaluation of the battle and her opponents.
The spider pokemon, in turn, considered herself above human command and, seeking out what she believed to be the most powerful, currently active, pokemon, skittered toward Persephone, intending to try and use Night Shade on the ghost/dark type.

Pygi squawked as the Swift attack caught her; the little bird really was outmatched in this battle and even with a not very powerful attack, being young, unevolved and with barely any experience in battle, the pidgey found it a little too much.
She didn't want to let Celty or Tambrey down- she wanted to keep battling- but she couldn't quite hold out; battles were much harder work than she'd imagined and she hadn't really paced herself with the effort she'd been putting into attacks.
The bird fainted in mid-air, but was gone in a flash of red light as Tambrey called her back.
"Good work, Pygi." The grunt told the pokeball, then apologized to it. "Sorry we were a little... out of our depth."
This left the grunt to look for the spider... and, with mild surprise, to see her charging a spiritomb.

"Celty! What are you doing?!" the grunt cried in distress as the Spiritomb rushed to Pygi's aid. Sure, she had avoided Skiron's attack, but now she was farther away from Faleen's sleeping dark-type than ever before. Even he knew that a sleeping pokemon was the perfect target.

Evidently, though, Celty wasn't as concerned about winning. Even if she had dodged closer to the dark ghost, her collective spirits would have been too ashamed to attack a vulnerable foe. Especially one who couldn't fight back while sleeping. Izaya groaned aloud. Just what he needed in Team Rocket - a pokemon with morals.

That Spinarak was getting very distracting. It was a vicious thing, alright, but it was aiming in all the wrong directions under the influence of confusion. Izaya almost felt sorry for it, but at least it was clear why Tambrey had been hesitant about bringing her out. If she could teach it to obey orders and focus its power more, it would be a formidable opponent indeed. At the moment, though...it was clear who would be the victor between Persephone and Neph. Had Izaya felt more for pokemon like he did for humans, he would have pitied her.

A flash of red light caught his eye and Grunt Nakura glanced away from the battle as Tambrey withdrew her flying-type. At the same instant, a loud crack, similar to the one Faleen's dark Spiritomb had caused, resounded throughout the room. The spirits that made up Celty cried out weakly before withdrawing into her Odd Keystone, no longer able to battle. Izaya sighed and followed Tambrey's example, withdrawing his fainted pokemon.

Crossing his arms, he smiled weakly at his fellow grunt. "Well, we did our best, huh? That Pidgey of yours really fought hard. Thanks for the help there, by the way." He glanced at Neph to see her progress, though somewhat reluctant to look. "Heh...looks like you and I have a similar problem with our pokemon not taking orders."
