Malodore nodded at Christof, then turned back to focus wholly on its work.

Calder nodded, and turned, heading off to find the mentioned items. While he could guess what rubber hosing looked like, pliers were a bit difficult. Moving to a set of toolboxes and other items set on another table, he looked about, picking through them before found a rolled bundle of rubber hosing and then picked up wire cutters, a small lopper, and pliers. All he knew was that it had a handle and some part at the end. He never really used pliers before mainly because his family didn't have plumbing and there, no pipes.
He came back, happy he could help but wondering if any of the three things he picked up were pliers. He really didn't want to be a burden. He looked up at the demon, unsure.

Barth looked up, briefly.
"Yes, err, that's good. Just put the rubbing hosing down there." He held out one claw again "...The third tool from the right please," he said, still fiddling.

Up on the rooftop, lightening lit the sky and the silhouette of a hunched figure that suddenly realized perhaps he should have grabbed some rubber gloves before going out in the open in a high place with a copper pipe strapped to his back.

There. Malodore sat back with satisfaction, stretching a bit, the joints in its neck popping as it did so. The nervous system had been installed. Now, all that was needed was...
It turned around and looked at Barth and Calder. "I'm ready to put in the conducting materials. It's very nearly finished."

Calder handed the requested tool and set the hosing down. Now, with nothing to do, he fiddled with the hanging part of his scarf and looked around. With Christof gone, he felt a bit better in asking what was going on. Out of everything, he didn't want to appear a idiot around Christof the most. "If...you need anything Barth. Just ask." He offered, and then turned to move over to where Malodore seemed very pleased with himself.
He looked at the limp lepus and back at the Plague doctor, still fiddling with his scarf. "Um...what is it that you are all doing?" He hoped they'd put it in lamest terms. If he had to ask for them to explain what ever they just said meant, he'd really be miserable.

"Thank you, Calder. ...It's Christof's project," Barth said.
For Barth, it ran into Contract territory, and therefore Contractee confidentiality. In any case, the results should be...apparent in short order.
He finally left the refrigerator alone. The workbench, unfortunately, was a long trek back across the room. "You err, need help with that, do you?"

There was another crack of thunder that made the lights in the dormitory dim for just a moment, and up on the rooftop, Christof was very, very regretful for forgetting his gloves.
But at least they knew it worked, now.
It was just a matter of plugging it all in, really.
Wheezing, the hunchback pealed himself up off of the tiles to limp back to the Gnome hatchway.

Malodore turned its head back slightly to (kind of) look at Calder. "We are attempting to re-animate a lepus 'patchwork' using high quantities of electricity and FEAR. It's quite a fascinating experiment, actually." The plague doctor regarded its handiwork with fond pride.

The kelpie flat out pouted at Barth's response. Not even so much as a clue, and he was being all hushed about it. Was it such a big secret?! If it wasn't, why didn't HE know about it? Weren't they all friends here? It wasn't like he'd spoil the surprise by telling anyone. He'd lock his lips up tight. Just because they weren't stitched, didn't mean he couldn't keep a secret. What a insult!
Luckily, his bro Mally-Mally-Malodore had his back and filled him in. Well, in the short terms, which Calder appreciated. That was until he listened to what they said.
He looked at the dead lepus, then at the pair of them, back at the dead pet, and then back up at them again. "Okay.......now...I'm not no scientist but...I've seen trees get hit by lightening in the woods. Those trees never looked perky and alive to me after." He didn't know if he was missing something, but just common observation around nature had taught him what electricity could do and considering there was a storm out.
Storm.
"Wait? Chrsitof isn't...?" He looked around, right when the lightening cracked once more. He tugged an ear. "I thought you two were smart!"

"It's his project," Barth repeated, almost stubbornly, then muttered, "I'm just donating some of the equipment. And helping with the wiring. A bit."

The door finally opened, and the hunchback in question limped in without a word, as usual. Judging by his empty hands, the job was complete. His face was convulsing a bit erratically and one eye didn't seem to want to focus on the same point as the other, and his hair was a bit... frazzled.. but he gave a disjointed, inarticulate thumbs up before gingerly limping to sit down for a moment. The soles of his shoes left black melty footprints all the way to the metal workbench chair that crackled as touched it.
So far. So good. And he had even tested it. That's all it was. Seriously.
Gloves. Never forget gloves. And thicker rubber on his boots.

Malodore sighed at the patchwork's appearance. Of course Christof hadn't gone up properly insulated. Of course not. Still, chiding him at this juncture wouldn't really do anything. It looked like he'd learned the lesson the hard way...
"Next time, a bit more precaution, perhaps?" it said, gently, then straightened up. "Va bene. We must just attach the conductors and it will be ready." It gestured at the now nearly complete lepus laid out on the table before it.

Calder had to wonder what got into the Igor's mind when he went on roofs during storms and wanted to turn a dead lepus into a firework. While part of him said that his friends were smart and there must be a reason, the other half that saw what lightening did told him that everyone was downright crazy. However, he was starting to get that they were all here because Christof wanted to do this, and for that reason, it might just be because they were just being good friends. All Calder worried about now was what would the room look like once the lepus exploded into a lot of burnt bits. It would ruin a lot of nice things in Barth's room.
When Christof did arrive (Thank Jack!), he was looking rather happy for a nearly dead...uh, more dead undead. He supposed that if you could sew yourself back together and had a doctor around, a igor really had nothing to worry about. Still, Calder gave him a look before signing one thing that he did learn. He made a fist and tapped his brow.
Seeing as NO ONE was really giving him a reason why they were doing this, he moved over to the slightly burned Igor and found a scrap of paper and a pencil. Okay, so he still had to memorize a few words, but he'd like a short explanation. "Just answer me this. Why do you want electrocute a dead lepus?" He was really trying hard to get on the same page as everyone else.

"All ready on the refrigerator end," Barth affirmed.
Then he actually did start moving away from the refrigerator, because after looking at Christof it occurred to him that he was not in a being electrocuted mood.
