"Well then Kele, it is my pleasure to meet you." Cyprus said and did a little bow, his eyes however never straying from her. When he mentioned that almost anything was back here, she somehow wanted to know about th city's history. Not a common request, so he had to know why one would want such info. "We do have books on this city's history. About the old city and new city, maps and bui-"
Aries smacked him in the leg with his tale, almost causing Cyprus to fall, "Shut up, don't tell to much." he muttered softly to Cyprus.
"Shhh." Cyprus said and gave a tiny snap and pointed back in the direction of the store. "Check on everyone else for a moment." he still didn't know why she would want that kind of information since it was highly valuable. And if he pointed to their well hidden spot, things might get ugly. So he put his hands back in his pockets and fidlled with some pocket lint. "May i ask as to why you might be looking for history books?"

"Don't fret, love... Kele laughed and grinned at the man while her ocelot eyed the wolf suspiciously as it left the room. This required a bit of thinking on her feet. "Oh, I just love this city! I'd love to visit everywhere I can and take pictures of all the cool sights. I think a map would suit me best," she replied brightly. A map containing new spots for me to use as sniping nests... Kele thought, containing a smirk. "Do you think you could direct me to them, please?" she gave Cyprus a doe-eyed look. ...it'll only hurt for a second."

Cyprus felt that she didn't want a map to go sight see-ing but wouldn't let on that he knew. he had to think of something. Also, those doe-eyes she was giving didn't exactly soften him up, it meant she had something to hide. "A new map or an old map?" He had her trapped no matter which option she chose. He moved away from the doorway, and leaned up against the wall as Aries re-entered.
"Nothing new boss, all old customers left already but we still got Alisha and Tony in there." Aries said as he walked in and kept his eyes on both the ocelot and Kele, his tail amking slow semi circles behind him.
"Thanks"

"Don't fret, love... She watched his body language, not like any bit of it. Sensing the threat, Kele's eyes hardened but her smile stuck. "I'm not sure. The old ones would be fun for cool places, but some of the streets may not exist anymore," she said carefully, choosing each word. She watched the wolf in the corners of her vision, saw Milagre take a step between the other animal and her master. "I think I need to research this a bit more. I'll be back, though. It was a pleasure meeting you, truly a pleasure..." Kele shook his hand and began walking out of the Cage, Milagre on her heels. ...it'll only hurt for a second."

"Do come back when you know." Cyprus said and walked her out of the cage, making sure to lock it up after they had all gotten out. he followed her up to the door and held it open for her, Noticing that both Alisha and Tony had finally left, nice people, but they usually didn't buy anything. He turned his eyes to the Clouds noticing that it would stay well enough until the shop closed. "Have a nice day!"

"Don't fret, love... "Yes, thanks. You too," Kele murmured. She and Milagre quickly passed the man and slipped into the street. Once she had brisked down the street and turned a corner, Kele pressed herself against the wall and caught her breath. To. Freakin'. Close, she thought. Milagre rubbed against her owner's leg comfortingly. "It's alright, we are out. I don't think he will speak to the police, since we haven't done anything for him to report." Kele nodded in reply, catching her breath. She peered down the street towards the book store. "We need to move. Now," Kele told the ocelot, who purred in consent. "I'd much prefer therooftops but seeing as a just shot a man up the road, it looks like we'll be walking from here.""Where to?" Milagre asked. Kele grinned and replied, "Perhaps we should go to work." The ocelot chuckled, and together they started towards Trihorn's Ink parlor. ...it'll only hurt for a second."

"Geez, why do i always get the weird ones..." Cyprus muttered, before walking back to the desk and hitting his head on it once. before turning and looking at the closed door. Getting back up he walked around putting books back in their designated spaces, before laying down on the partially stone and wood floor.
"Now who's the bum?" Aries said before laying down on the floor next to him and putting his head on Cyprus's stomach. "and you get the weird ones, because you run a weird shop."
"Thanks?" Cyprus asked while looking up at the ceiling.
"You're welcome, and take the previous comment as a compliment." Aries said as he stretched himself out.
"Fine, but only cause you asked nicely."

Jared carelessly followed Raya up to the top of the other building, skipping steps up the stairs and sometimes leaping off of them. His animal, Achak, simply flew up to the top and waited for him there. Once he arrived, he made a face at her, muttering, "Birds. Always have to take the shortcut, don't you?"
Achak cocked her head at him, as if in replacement for cocking an eyebrow. "What's the use of wings if I don't use them?"
Jared shrugged. "Appearance?" Achak pecked him on the head and they went out the door. He said he'd tag along, but it looks like Raya didn't need their help anyway. Already, they were examining the spot where the sniper was. He crept up quietly and overheard their last few parts of the conversation. He clicked his tongue and commented, "Women. Never trust 'em, I say. Er... no offense, Chief. I think you're a fine woman." Jared laughed awkwardly and went silent.
Achak nuzzled deeper into his hair and chirped, "Or because you can never keep them." Jared glared at her and muttered back, "What was that you said about not talking about personal stuff in professional situations?"

"Don't fret, love... Kele strolled into Trihorn's Ink, nodding at her co-worker Tab. "Out for some 'freelancing' again, eh?" he snickered. "You know me, do all the work I can," she grinned. Tab knew about her criminal life, as did everyone at the parlor, and it was no secret that Kele barely did any kind of work for them. Tab looked around the lobby conspiratorily before waving Kele to him and leaning close to her ear. "That guy called half an hour ago; the one who gave you the most recent hitlist," he whispered. "Oh, but first peirce that twit in room 2, he resquested you and wouldn't budge. Make it hurt," Tab said with a wink and a sly smile. Kele grew grave and nodded. She swung into the room and sat roughly on her stool. The boy in the client's chair was obviously some overly hormonal teen, who started rambling about how he wanted to gauge his ears. Kele pushed him back in the chair, adjusted his head, and and stuck a needle through his lobes. The tough guy howled, trying to cover his pain with coughing. Kele ditched the kid and strode to the backroom; she picked up the phone and dialed. "Kele," came a growling voice. "The wires were buzzing 'bout your hit. Nicely done. Are you ready for your next victim?" Kele nodded pointlessly, head slightly hung. "Yeah, Sun Azaki. What did he do?" she replied in a cold voice. "He's some rich boy on wife numero three; the first two are dead and this ones in witness protection. Do the world a favor, would you?" "Sure thing. So, are you finally going to tell me your name?" Kele's voice dripped with sarcasm. The stranger laughed, "All in good time, friend." ...it'll only hurt for a second."

Raya raised her eyebrow at Jared, "A fine woman? Well, that's a new one." She chuckled at Jared's awkward laugh, "You'r cute. Like a bashful puppy."Shai laughed, "I don't think that's what men like to hear, Ray. Perhaps that is the reason you remain single."Raya scowled at the tiger, "Nooo, I just don't have time for men. I do have a job." She headed towards the stairs, "Let's go give this stuff to the techies, then I'm going for a drink."Shai laughed, "A drink? I thought you had a job?""Eh, it can wait. I'v got plenty of time."Shai laughed again, "Care to join us, Achak, Jared?"Shai≎≎≎≎≎≎≎┈━═

Cyprus tried to get up off the floor only to realize that he couldn't. Trying again he still couldn't get up. and why was there a weight on his chest? looking down he noticed Aries had fallen asleep on him. "ugh, get up Aries." he said as he poked the wolf asleep on his chest.
"No." Aries said, as a small child would to there parent. His eyes were still closed and his mouth barely moving.
"Yes, were locking up and going out to get something to drink." Cyprus said and picked the wolfs head off of him before standing up and closing out the lights.
"Aww, you suck." Aries said, his claws clicking on the floorboards, his eyes gleaming in the dark. He walked up to the door and patiently waited for Cyprus to open it and get out of the shop.
"Yeah, Deal with it" Cyprus said with a smirk. before opening the door and walking out with Aries before closing and locking it up. when he was satisfied he headed down the street to the bar.

"Don't fret, love... Kele jumped from rooftop to rooftop. Running to the next edge, she stopped herself short; the next gap was huge. She back-tracked several yards, and charged at the edge, leaping at the last second and thrusting her hands forward. Kele's palms and stomach found metal, and she wrapped her fingers around the fire escape's railing. She winced as the air was forced out of her lungs. Pulling herself up and over the railing, she rested for a moment to recover. There were three flights of stairs before the fire escape let out to the roof. Kele walked to the top and surveyed her surroundings. The man on the phone had said that she could find her reward on this rooftop. A thick air vent surfaced near the front side; Kele came to it, searching around it's metal sides. I fingers found a plastic rectangle wedged between the vent and the lip of the building. She pulled it from it's hiding spot and flipped open the metal clasps on what now seemed to be a briefcase. Kele's eyes grew wide as she saw the green innards of the case. She wasn't sure exactly how much money was in there, but the man hadn't ripped he off, that's for sure. Kele closed the briefcase and rested a foot on the building's lip, looking down to the street for the best exit route. Walking along the sidewalk was the bookstore guy, Cyprus, and his wolf. "Them again," Milagre sighed. "Why can't life be easy for crooks?" Kele smirked at her ocelot. "Maybe because we kill people.""YOU kill people. I watch," the cat chuckled; her owner scowled. "We should keep an eye on them. The man seems to be more than meets the eye, and our next target is fairly close to the first one's place, and Cyprus' store," Kele decided. MIlagre nodded her approval and fixed her eyes on the man and wolf below. ..it'll only hurt for a second."

Jared watched contentedly at Raya and Shai's playful banter. As impolite as it may seem, he really enjoyed eavesdropping on a happy person and their partnered animal. Imagine, just a few decades ago, the most interaction humans could have with animals were as pets, though they'd have to be breed for human life. Now look! Wild, exotic animals, able to communicate with their partnered human!
He almost didn't notice Shai and Raya inviting him and Achak for a drink. Jared grinned and accepted. "Don't mind if I do." As they went down the stairs, Jared quickened the trip by agilely leaping down flights and flipping off of the poles. It never hurt to have a little fun while doing a boring task. Of course, Achak's trip down was quickest. She flew down and calmly waited for Jared to arrive. Jared gave her another glare, which she met levelly.
