Christof took a step back, his face flushing further as she continued to stare. What? What?? Did she want him to leave? Maybe? She wasn't talking. Was she mocking him? No, that didn't seem like Miss Amrita. He cleared his throat, lifting his hands out with a desperate shrug. He wished he could read minds like his Mistress-
The thought brought up a painful feeling.
Shifting, he rubbed the back of his head, glancing to the door. Thinking for a moment, he finally gingerly pointed to her, and then to his chest and then to the hallway outside.

Amrita stared.
And Stared.
And stared.
When he finally moved, she animatedly followed his movements, watching his hand and the way he pointed at her, and then himself, and then the hallway...and a couple minutes later, it clicked. Tilting her head and peeking through her bangs, she gazed up at him with a curious stare.
"Okay." Clearly, he was going to have to take the lead...and she'd duckling after him the moment he started moving.

He had to show someone SOMETIME, he figured... and... well... Master Malodore seemed to think it had been a good preliminary experiment for what was to come... maybe she'd be impressed by what he had been up to?
With one last glance at the cage to make sure nothing had sprung free that wasn't supposed to, he silently lead the way out of her dorm and to the steps. For a moment he wondered if he should help her with the chair, but... she'd sort that out, he assumed. Whatever that was about.
His own dorm wasn't far at all, just up the stairs and down the hall, and as he eased the door open, they could hear a frantic metallic banging and vicious yips of Scruff inside.

Normally, DC would have been out and growling at the patchwork; but as it stood, the confines of the open-doored cage was too comfortable for him to care. Besides, they seemed to be keeping their distance from one another...meaning at least the patchwork was keeping a decent distance from Amrita, of course.
The chair seemed to be completely forgotten as the little Vetala followed him out, shuffling only a few steps behind him with her hands twisting the hair that fell over her shoulder. She didn't know where they were going or why, but she figured that she would find out soon enough; and she did. For once it didn't take her long to recognize where they were headed, but it was the frantic banging and angry yips that made her react for the first time in a while; she squeaked and shuffled up close to Christof, backward hands gripping the back of his shirt as though he would protect her.
"Wh-Why...?" She trailed off, peeking anxiously around the Igor and towards the odd sounds the creature was making. Why did scruff sound so...different?!

Christof turned to glance at her over his hunch, smiling in a somewhat more... manic way than she had ever seen him smile before. He pushed the door open, gingerly taking her backward hand to lead her inside confidently. The place was a mess, coolers lining the walls, covered by an array of left over and spare parts- male feet and arms and bits and pieces for himself when needed, left over female parts that weren't quite the right tone, but he seemed anxious to be rid of anything that could still be useful, as well as... bits and pieces of what looked like *lepus*.
Scruff was on his bed, happily thrashing a rabbity leg like a new beloved toy. The horrible racket, it would seem, was coming from the cage on his cluttered workbench. The wall behind it was riddled with his anatomical notes, at least the ones he hadn't lent to Malodore, and several bloodstained books he needed to return to the library in piles on either side.
The abomination int he cage stopped its rattling at the sight of them, instead gripping the bars to give Amrita an especially disdainful look.
The hunchback hurried forward, face alight with excitement as he motioned to it in a proud 'tada!' fashion.

Amrita had feared that Scruff had gone insane and would attack her like he did when she first found Christof's room. It was with a great relief that this was not the case, and so the next thing she had to fear was that odd smile on the Igor's lips - she had definitely never seen that before! Which, of course, led her to look around the room.
Coolers. Parts...both scareling-looking and...creature? Hm. Still clinging to the back of Christof's shirt, she shuffled into the room with him and, when he started to move too quickly, was finally forced to let him go. This place was a lot messier than she remembered it...but then again, she had a pretty poor memory to begin with. Everything pointed to the unhappy looking thing in the cage, and naturally she found herself staring at it. It was...definitely something else. It looked, uh, meshed together...but it also looked remarkably sad.
"...Did...Did you, um, make that?" She murmured curiously and with a clear tone of awe, still staring at the thing. Slowly shuffling over to grip the edge of the workdesk the cage sat on, hesitantly trying to get a better look.

The untamed Patchwork Lepus glowered back at her through the bars, eyes twitching over her features before giving a sharp growl and it's sharp teeth were once again put to good use attempting to bite through the bars.
Christof was still swelling with pride, flushing a bit as he used a spare finger (not his own) to poke the creature back while raising a hand in a 'so-so' gesture. He had had a lot of help, and it wasn't Igorly to take credit for the work of Masters. He raised his hands again, this time miming a beak and lowered them in a sewing gesture before raising his hands further to show horns and reached into the cage to tap the irritable creature's odd "helmet". A tiny little spark arched between digit and metal and he quickly pulled his hand out again to suck on a fingertip.

The little Vetala straightened when it growled at her, suddenly standing at attention as it gnawed on the bars. Oooh, feisty little thing! Moving aside just a little bit, she watched the spare finger poke at the thing, missing the 'so-so' gesture and just assuming that Christof made it himself. Yay, Christof!
Well, he was mimicking a beak or something, and then horns...but she couldn't think of a student with both a beak and horns, and thus went right back to assuming it was Christof, and that he was just being silly.
"Eep! Are you okay?!" She chimed in when she saw the spark, a backwards hand resting on his arm again. Of course, when it became clear that he was okay, she went back to staring at the Lepus in wide-eye awe, a fingernail pressed against what was left of her lips.
"...Can I pet it?"

"Mmmmm..." Christof's face fell into a grimace and he quickly shook his head. That... probably wouldn't be a good idea. Yet. He was still baffled as to how to get the thing to behave. And not... try to be so murderous. He had to replace a leg from the knee down the last time he had let it out of it's cage.

She was too busy looking at the Lepus to notice the shake of the head, but the noise he made was hesitant enough to make her frown sadly. Like a kid in a pet store who had just been told that no, she can't pet that puppy wagging it's tail on the other side of the glass. Well, if she couldn't pet it...aww.
"...Awwwww are you sure?" She lamented sadly; despite how obviously dangerous it was, she still kind of wanted to touch it. Finger staying where it was, she tilted her head at it, gnawing away at the bars. "Maaaaaybe...maybe it's, um, hungry?"

Christof narrowed his eyes. The lepus had gone quiet, staring at Amrita intently through it's bars.
Well... maybe... another snack? It was behaving now at least. Stupid thing had been keeping him awake all night since it's creation. He shifted before picking up a severed lady finger from the bench top, offering it to the ghoul as though it was a carrot, but put a hand between her and the cage for a moment to try to illustrate it wasn't a good idea to get too close.

Oh! It wasn't freaking out anymore! Yay!
Amrita clearly had a very short checklist when it came to trusting animals. It likely read as follows: 'Not on Fire. Not Biting. Not on Fire.' Clearly, the Lepus was currently fulfilling every point, making it trustable as far as she was concerned. Then again, she often did learn by trial and error.
"...I-it eats this?" She questioned, taking the finger but not acknowledging the whole be careful thing. Shrugging, she went back to the workbench and offered the finger through the bars. "H-hiya little bunny~~" The little undead cooed, waiting to see what would happen.

The Lepus quickly snatched the treat away, huddling back to nibble at it happily, eyes large and sparkling as it watched her curiously.
Christof scowled. He knew better than to give into it's attempts to look cute. It always meant it was up to no good.
But... it seemed to like her at least? It hadn't gone after HER fingers anyway. That was a plus, right?

"Oh!" Amrita jumped with a bit of a squeak when the finger was snatched from her and gnawed on. Fingers didn't seem very appetizing, if only because she didn't really see scarelings eat fingers that weren't already crushed into the chili. She watched it nibble, and after a little while her gaze got foggy and unfocused; after that, she just kind of stood there, slouching over far enough to lean against the table.
Then, something clicked.
"OH!" She stood up suddenly, so quickly that her little spine made an echoing snap, and she wheeled around to stare up at Christof. "Uh! One moment! Just...I'll...be right back!" Flailing a bit to try and mime 'one minute', she turned and ran out of his room and down the hallway, moving as fast and as steady as her backwards feet would allow.
"I PROMISE!" She called back, though her voice was a little distant.

Christof blinked, baffled by her sudden exit. Had it scared her? Maybe? Or... he had no idea. Scratching the back of his head, he turned back to the cage once more, and failed to give it a smack. The Lepus was *behaving* and that was a first, so far.
He wobbled to a chair, content to wait.
