Maybe it would be a shine of hope.... or that she was paying real attention to her little tour earlier. Sabine pretty much saw the frustration on Zac's face, wandered into the kitchen and grabbed three paper cups on the counter. Soon she opened the soda, and poured cups for them all distributing them out.
Grabbing the fried rice again, she wandered away with just that, her drink, and a plastic spoon that came with the food. Setting herself down on the floor she sat crossed legged. After some issue opening the container, she used the spoon and took a bite of the food. Blinking a few times, the spoon still in her mouth, she stared down at the box. Moments later, she took a few more bites..... clearly signaling she liked it.
Too busy eating, she looked towards Ever, chewing and swallowing before speaking. " Things may come with time, yes? Trust me ill ask if i need to know." Back to her food she went.

"Thank you.." he murmured quietly and accepted the cups before pouring out the bubbly brew to pass around, took a chicken finger and passed the paper tub to Ever to start on. He looked like he was as hungry as they first met which didn't quite make sense, but... he glanced at Sabine and kept his mouth shut. Not now... no he'd made it rather hard to confront Ever on that one and hadn't even meant to. Maybe he was just imagining things... maybe. Still... the way he acted about the Job...
"Well... I guess like she said she'll ask." He said glancing at Sabine and looking thoughtful for a moment. "If you have any questions though, its at least now quasi legal for you to try and creep into Hillworth."
He left that hanging and took a bit of chicken finger before grabbing a spoon to steal a bit of the rice, though all in all he was eating more for show than because he had any real kind of appetite, just too much on his mind these days.

His shrug was easy, somewhat dismissive, head tipped to look up at Zac again. He rested the chicken fingers on his knees and thought about that; it only took him a moment to find his usual creeping smile, both eyebrows raised.
"You better leave your room number, then. And my phone is around here somewhere, so..." He could always call if there was a problem. He shrugged, forced himself to focus on Sabine and address her instead of Zac again. "And you probably have one too, right?"

"Cellphone?" She blinked at them a few times, head tilting. "No, no i dont. I probably did at once... fat chance me remembering where it is." A nervous laugh, hand rubbed at her shoulder only to emphasize the awkward. "If...i get one.. ill let you know?"
Man.. this really did suck. She felt like a 2 year old, trying to take as big of strides as the big boys. Looking away she tried to hide the hurt in her eyes, all these questions being flung AT her... and she really could never answer. Well, at least not an answer that wasn't the wrong one, or 'i dont know'.

He reached a hand to her shoulder, resting it there lightly, comforting "You don't have one yet...it's alright." He said his tone grown soft as it so rarely did. Right there, her hair up in pigtails was a huge 'c***k' in the 'armor' of Zac. Small wonder he fretted so much if he had done the right thing. He was probably far too protective but it hurt all the more to know just how much she had -lost- to save her life.
"I... I can pick you up a pre-paid one while we're out... you can pick a case for it too so it'll be a color you like ok?" He said trying to soothe that hurt with letting her make choices of her own accord. Things that would lead her to likes and dislikes...maybe even new ones.
He did pause before answering Ever, like he wasn't sure it was information that he should hand that information out at all but at last he did relent and muttered. "2B... faces the main street, better in summer theirs a Tree..."

Second floor. Ever made a little face and then extracted himself back to the bathroom to get some water, still working on chicken as he went. Let them have their moment and he wouldn't intrude. See, he could be thoughtful. Kind of. A little bit.
He didn't close the door but devoured the last strip and then settled in to wash his hands. The sound of running water might cover up anything they had to say.
