Chrome looked up at Erik, blinking when he spoke. A smile flicked on her lips when he mentioned the male, and how he could not forgive her. Oh my, did he... She turned to smile to the side, hiding the soft gleeful smile. Was he jealous? Of her? And that boy? What was his name? However, she stopped, eyes flicking to look at Erik.
Hurting him.
He was admitting it, wasn't he? Or did he not understand it? "How did I hurt you, Erik?" She questioned, not a hint of teasing in her voice. No, she was serious. The vixen sat up, sparkles flying before they settled when she looked up at the taller male, leaning closer. "Why would me talking to another male hurt you?"

"You were doing more then talking and you know it. Rubbing up against a male and nibbling on his ear?" Erik looked down at her like she was stupid, "Do you honestly not know what you look like? You look like a tactless child that is just looking for a good lay." He snorted, "And that to me is not something you would look for in a potential mate, some vixen that will run off with the first attractive male she runs into. If you were at all serious about me then perhaps you should act with a little more decorum and cease with these little children games."

That is when she snarled. She got into Erik's face, eyes narrowing. "Serious about you? Who the hell do you think you are, Erik?" She snapped, bristling. "Do you not know how much time I spent showing you I was serious? And what have you done? Nothing. You have no right to tell me to show you I'm serious if you don't do the same." She huffed at him, jerking her head to the side and eyes narrowing.
"I wasn't going to mate him. Maybe I do want some fun. I'm young, why not? The only guy I like never shows any desire to further it with me, so, I have no one to tell me what to do." She was angry, it was obvious by how she bristled and lashed her tail back and forth.
"If you think you have the right to get angry, then you should have told me how you felt. You know that? Or show it. I'm not talking about rescuing me from holes, Erik. Sometimes people want to hear how you feel. I can do it. So can a 'Daeva that only shows what he thinks when its about to be taken from him. Besides, I wasn't going to "lay" him, idiot. I was flirting. It's fun. And don't start saying that makes me look bad, people flirt. Its a fact. Its what we do. I wouldn't flirt if I was taken, but being single gives me the right."
With this she flopped down, looked at Erik, and scowled. "I like you. We both know this. But that doesn't give you the right to treat me like a child. I'm not a kid anymore, Erik. I'm a woman that has desires and feelings and wants."

Erik glowed down at her angrily, "I won't spout my feelings like some dandy. Tch. So don't expect an apology from me, because I don't give any." His tail flicked annoyed behind him, "You want to have some fun then go ahead and do it Chrome. But you're going to have to live with the consequences of your actions and I won't be bailing you out anymore."
"Do what you wish Chrome." He looked away from her, "You may think your a vixen now but you still act like a small kit wanting to be coddled and gushed over. It isn't what I do, and I shall never act like such a fool."

She snarled at him at this point. "Well guess what? I don't want that. But someone can't know how you feel unless you let them. I don't want damn coddles! I just want to know how you feel! That's what caring for someone is! Yeah you look silly sometimes, but no one gives a s**t because when you care for someone that doesn't matter." She snapped back, bristling.
"A child? No. You're the child. A child only does things for himself. You don't care how I feel enough to do something for me. The real child is you." She spat out, hurt across her body. "Emotions aren't so bad, Erik! And showing you care just once won't kill you. I won't regret anything, because one day someone will show they care. I don't need flowers everyday, hell, any day. I just need to at least once, just once hear "I like you." If that's to hard for you then you'll realize everyone's to hard for you."

"Mm!" He looked at her with wide eyes. He had never been spoken to in such a manner, especially by a vixen. And he was not going to tolerate it. But what could he say back to her, how was he supposed to defend himself when what she said was true. Erik wasn't capable was expressing his emotions.
He had never had cause to before now. And suddenly out of the blue he was supposed to change to please Chrome. How the hell was he supposed to do that?
"Tch...." His tail flicked.

Chrome was not one to cry and run away yelling "you jerk!" No. She was a spitfire of a fox that wouldn't let anyone berate her, and never when the other person was in the wrong, too! She looked at him, watching him make a face and flick his tail, unable to respond. She knew why. He hadn't been called out like that before. Hiyoko never did it, and now here was this little black vixen that sparkled pointing out one flaw he hadn't touched until now.
Well, he was being quiet. Fine. Her tail flicked, sparkles flying slightly before she turned her head. "This isn't going anywhere. I said my piece. You can find me by the lake if you ever grow the balls to grow up." With this she headed off, she didn't want to fight anymore. When she reached the lake she stuck her paw in the lake to cool off, narrowed her eyes, and watched the fireflies.

"Tch."
Said her peace indeed. It wasn't as simple as coming up with a witty reply to that speech. Chrome, whether she knew it or not, had cracked his shell. He had been this way for as long as he could remember. The fox that had raised him had told him to always be strong, never show anyone your weaknesses. In fact try to weed out your weaknesses.
"What am I supposed to do Maker?" he looked in the direction that Chrome had disappeared in. He wanted to rip her head off for her snide comment on him growing a set.

She eyed the water, tail flicking lazily back and forth as glitter shot about. Glitter. She frickin' spewed glitter. She was tired of it. Frustrated at both Erik and herself, Chrome snarled at the water, wanting to make the damn sparkles stop. Sparkles! She didn't feel so sparkly right now! By sheer determination she focused on the sparkles, shutting them off completely. Hell, she didn't know she could do that. Maybe now she'd stop being such a disco ball. Content with her now non-glittery self, she picked herself up and crawled against a tree, wrapping her tail around herself.
Today had gone from great to this. For all she knew Erik would just run off. This thought made the vixen sigh, closing her eyes. Worrying about things didn't help. So, with this, she fell asleep.

Erik hadn't slept a wink all night. All he thought about was what Chrome had been ranting about. He tried to be angry with her, but somehow he ended up being angry in general. Deep down he knew that he was really angry with himself but he wasn't going to admit that to himself quite yet. Sighing he shifted on the rock he was laying on and let out a loud growl.
"Tch." He sniffed the air to locate Chrome. She was still down by the water, so he still had time. To do what he didn't know.

When she woke her glitter was still gone, held in by her will. Good. She was normal for once. Her eyes focused on the water in-front of her, paw touching the water and watching the ripple. What was she expecting from him? Nothing at this point. Erik was probably pissed off, though she knew what she said had to be said sometime. A low sigh escaped her, yawning as a fish slipped by her paw.
She let out glitter/sparkle fly out, disgusted with it in seconds. If only she didn't have the ability anymore. This was stupid. In seconds she let her glitter lose, watching it fly about and shaking her head. Sometimes she wondered if her parents were literally discoballs.

He decided that it was time to stand up and face the music so to speak. Erik wasn't a male to run away from a fight, and since he couldn't come up with a response to her last night, he was going to have to do it today before she left.
Erik pushed himself up off the rock, then marched toward the water to catch her. The sight upon his arrival tugged at his heart, if he had a heart. He wasn't so sure anymore. He was a cold, heartless b*****d sometimes. But that wasn't the male he wanted to be anymore.
"Chrome?" He called out her name to get her attention.

Her glitter sputtered about, eyes flicking to the side when she heard her name called out like a question. Her eyes locked on Erik, rainbow spheres blinking before she looked at the water. He was here to yell, wasn't he? To demand that she take back calling him a kid. "Hm?" She hummed, standing and brushing herself off before looking at him again.
"Erik?" She said, settling with a kinder voice than before, though wary. What was he here for? Had he perhaps decided to listen to her? Or no? Either way, he was here now and her previous tiff didn't matter right now. She wanted to hear what he had to say.

"I didn't come to yell at you if that is what you think this is about." Erik looked away slightly annoyed. He sucked in a big gulp of air, then let it out slowly. "I didn't get any sleep. I was up all night thinking about what you said to me and....well..." His tail swayed behind him slowly, "Honestly....I don't want to....be that male anymore...." There was slight color coming to his cheeks, but he tried to hide it by looking further away.
"I don't want to be the kind of male...that ends up alone...and miserable."

"Eh?"
That was what she said as he spoke, surprise in her eyes. She thought he was to far gone, to far gone in that path of being an a**. Her smile flicked on her face, head tilting. "Yeah?" She asked, tail beginning to wag. "Does that mean you'll... learn to show how you feel?" She asked, approaching him, careful to make sure her glitter didn't get on him.
A smile still stayed on her face, happy that he was doing this. He was becoming a better man. She was going to reward him for it, too. Carefully, warily even, she nuzzled his cheek, smiling at Erik. "Thank you."
