As requested, Malodore had managed to make her shiver again. It hadn't meant to, but the effect was just as appreciated. What a delightful thought. She perked up, lifting her head off of it's shoulder. Then I will do so. The contract mentioned that I had to order three more books, and that will be one of them. I vaguely remember it being called some kind of guide to dungeons. It sounded more like a guide to laughter.
She snatched the mad science book away from the pile, and squeezed Malodore's claw with one hand. I'll leave these here in case you need a good laugh, and go order them now. Shall I return later, or are you occupied tonight?

"You know you are always welcome, cara mia," Malodore said, tapping her cheek lightly with the tip of its beak once more. "I believe I shall settle down and learn all about the esoteric habits of red dragons. Jericho may want to know about them, after all."

Riley was torn. Malodore planned to settle down and read, just as she'd wanted - but she wanted to join it just as she'd set out to do. But.. well, she'd be back, regardless.
Don't get tired of reading, I'll be back soon. Wait, what am I saying.. She rolled her eyes at the mere idea of Malodore tiring of reading. She leaned in to the peck, wrapping her arms around it's shoulders to rest her forehead against Malodore's. The familiar brush of her kiss slipped into it's mind, lingering there for a moment. When she pulled away, she whispered a quiet I love you, and let go.

Ti amo, Malodore thought back affectionately. The words were surrounded with mental warmth, a sense of deep affection and respect.
On the floor, Luce thumped her tail.

Just as she turned to leave, she heard the thump on the floor, and narrowed her eyes at the little lump of fluff looking up at her expectantly. Oohh, you little hellion, you know I love you too. She crouched down and brought both of her hands around Luce's head, scritching thoroughly in affection before getting up to leave.
I might stop for a quick chat with Junko before I return, but it shouldn't be long. Enjoy the books, dear. She turned to shuffle her fingers in a soft wave, and disappeared past the door.
