Considering how new the machine actually was, it was expected to have some bugs to work out. The kickback happened to be one of them. As Seth had said, it was something he would have to improve. It was possible that even he wasn't entirely sure what was causing it. Probably whatever mechanism that allowed the beam to shoot such a far distance, was responsible. That's what Asch would assume, anyway.
The red head nodded in understanding when Faleen explained the energy pack, continuing to watch the disassembling carefully. It was pretty straight forward and he was certain he could do it when she started putting it back together again.
Asch took the rifle when she stepped aside, and started to take it apart again in the same order and manner that the other agent had. "Its a smaller department than the tech division," Asch said, his eyes completely focused on the task at hand. "And it's one that requires us to be a away from base a lot."

Faleen loved fixing problems, looking it over was simply a curious peek before turning the weapon back to the other Agent. This would keep her curious for a while, thats for sure.
She folded her hands behind her back as she watched him take the rifle apart, doing a good job, he knew what he was doing. "Alright, if you wouldn't mind assembling it once, then taking it apart again, then we can pack it away" She said, pleased that the process had gone smooth, his skill with weapons prior to this was making things officiant.
While she let him to that, she walked over to pick up the case, and retrieve the tripod for the rifle, kneeling down to open the case and start collaps the tripod to put it away. She had to pause though, as a painful stab jolted through her shoulder, "..." She jerked, and stopped moving her side completely, placing a hand over her shoulder.
"... I noticed you held the rifle differently than I've ever seen before," She pointed out after a length of silence, where she continued her work, primarily with her least injured arm.

As requested, Asch started assembling the rifle again with ease. However, as Faleen walked away to retrieve the tripod, he glanced in her direction just in time to see her flinch and grip her shoulder. The agent frowned softly, before turning his gaze back to the piece of equipment in front of him.
"My instructor taught me this way. Its not that much different." Asch explained as he put the rifle back together piece by piece, checking the functionality of each piece as he did so to become familiar with it. "Have you ever fired a scoped rifle before?" Judging from the pain in her shoulder, he could only guess that she had tried to fire this one before he showed up, and if that was the case, she likely hadn't.
"I won't need that," he pointed out as Faleen continued to fold up the tripod.

It was a style she had never seen before, it seemed to work quite well for him though. When he answered her question by saying that it was something tough by his instructor, she assumed that it was someone from Team Rocket, the organization did have opertunities to learn from higher rank. "Part of your rocket training I take it?" This was probably the first time she's heard someone use the term "Instructor" in a setting like this though, leading her to believe that the lessons were more personal than the usual group training.
"I see," Faleen was in the middle of placing the tripod back into the case when he spoke again. Having not been looking at him, she straightened her posture where she was kneeling and glanced over her shoulder at him. It was clear he was implying the Tripod, he didn't need to use it before, something that still surprised her, she wouldn't have been able to. "Alright, I won't pack it than," No need to argue, she could just as easily return it to the rack that it had originally come from. Scooping it under her arm and returning to her full height, the dark blond agent moved to his previous question to her, answering it as she returned from the rack to bring the case back to the table to the parts of the gun could be placed in for better transport.
"Not exactly" came her reply. with the 'click click' of the case straps being flicked open by dark gloved fingers. "In theory I understand the mechanics and how to use one, but this is the first time I've fired anything like that." she admitted. This of coarse reminded her of the atrocious shooting at the Rattata, and she responded with the lifting of a corner of her mouth.

Though he didn't lose his focus, Asch's eyelids drooped slightly at her question about his training. "Something like that," he muttered, before glancing at the case that Faleen brought over. As soon as it was open, he started placing the pieces in the case where they belonged.
Green eyes lifted for a moment to regard the other agent before looking down at his task again. "That would explain your shoulder. Reading only goes so far, you have to practice and get the feel of it." He would guess that she didn't do very well in shooting it either, if she had managed to hurt herself. Although, he too could remember the first time he had used an actual weapon of that size and strength. His experience probably hadn't been all that dissimilar from Faleen's own.

'something like that' was a vague enough answer to imply that her guess wasn't entirely correct, meaning her assumption might be a little more accurate.... interesting.
At mention of her Shoulder she glanced over at him, fighting the impulse to reach up and touch the throbbing join again. "I fully intend to registering for some practice after this." She said, one of her shoulders sagging a little as her head leaned to the other side. She watched as he put the items away where they belonged, permitting him to do this while she just watched. Once he was done here she would return to the development room as Seth instructed. "Elit- ah... pardon me, Executive Seth would probably agree." Seeing as her commander did not sound at all pleased with her failed performance with the Rattata. Faleen didn't like the idea of being knocked back onto her butt in front of the Executive either. This made her face flush again with embarrassment as she frowned. "You know your way around these quite well though, its quite apparent."

"Don't worry about it," Asch said as he clearly saw her embarrassment. "You're a tech, your specialty is building things, not combat."
It was true, he did know his way around weapons like these. His training had been rather... extensive. He'd had plenty of time to learn it. Once the gun was completely disassembled and put back in the case, Asch closed and secured it before taking it.
The red headed agent turned to go, but paused for a moment. "If you want, I can teach you."

"That's true." Faleen agreed, other than the basics of self defense that most trainees know, she was not combat savvy. She did have a tendency to be a little hard on herself, But that was nothing new, for as long as she could remember she was always this way, always had something new to prove. He was right though.
He finished, and the case closed. Faleen stepped back away from the table as he took the case and got ready to go. Preparing herself to head back to find the new Executive. He paused though, and offered to teach her how to use guns. Faleen blinked at this, head lifting up to look at him. She didn't expect the offer, But that didn't mean it wasn't at all unwelcome, he knew what he was doing with weapons after all, plus she had to admit, she was curious about what other things this young Agent was capable of. "That is a generous offer Agent Asch, I would like that."

"We can arrange a time after I get back. I'll send you an email."
And with that, Asch went on his way. The agent taking his leave without another word and leaving the firing range. He had other things to do in the mean time, like prepare for his trip.
Toting the rifle case in one hand, he made his way through the tech floor and back towards the elevators where he would take the lift to the agent's quarters once more.

Faleen nodded, the arm she could still move properly was folded behind her back as she stepped out of Asch way as he took his leave. "I will keep an eye out for it."
There was something... eerily families about this situation, so much so that it caused her cheeks to flush a little pink when she recalled just what it was. But with a sharp jerk of her head, she shook the thoughts from her mind, it was a common situation when in a work place with comrades, she couldn't go assuming that everyone who wants to help her, was going to end up betraying her. Asch seemed a capable, and trusted Rocket, and she wasn't going to make biased assumptions just becasue she had been burned once.
She would accept his help as a comrade, there was nothing wrong with this.
Once burned, twice shy they say.
Faleen didn't take long after he started out to follow him to the door, letting it close behind her as she took a different hall way that Asch, walking briskly to meet Executive Seth where he had instructed.

Seth would be found in development, where he said he would be. The Executive standing with his back to the door as he spoke to a grunt regarding what looked to be a circuitry board that had seen better days. The black marks streaking its surface making it clear that it was thoroughly fried.
The sounds of tools and clanking metal was heard throughout the enormous room that was used as a workshop. This place was used to create, build, and repair various type of machinery that ranged from small things like the Rocket Dex, to pieces of mecha.
"Are you stupid?!" Seth snapped as he glowered at the grunt before him, who had presented him with the charred board. The grunt simply blinked at him in shock, the poor sap being a person who was relatively new and in training still.
"You have to use a relay to handle high voltage electrical currents!" The man snorted in disgust, for it was times like these that he thought he was completely surrounded by idiots. "Install a solid state relay and replace the microcontroller. Make sure it has a Darlington transistor and a diode. Can you handle that?" The question being asked with a sneer.
The grunt took the fried microcontroller as it was shoved at him. "Yes, sir!" he said quickly before scurrying off with his proverbial tail tucked between his legs.

Back in her element, already hearing the familiar and comforting sounds of construction coming from the room before she even stepped into it. She loved that sound, the smell, the entire environment.
She took a breath as she entered, relaxing her shoulders while she scanned the room for Executive Seth, something that didn't take her very long, spotting him speaking to a very frazzled looking grunt. She stopped close by, waiting for Seth to finish, and speaking once the grunt had hurried away to correct his mistake. "Seth, Sir" she spoke, to announce her presence.

Seth huffed and folded his arms as he glared at the grunt's back, once he took his leave. However, the voice at Seth's left caused him to tilt his gaze in Faleen's direction, the glare muting down to his usual scowl.
"How did it go?" He asked, clearly meaning her instruction of the rifle to the red haired agent. He didn't expect there would be any problems, since the agent had clearly demonstrated his skill.

"Smoothly, Sir. He was already familiar with how to dissemble a weapon, I just made sure he was aware of the slight difference in the build for this model." She answered.
As the engineer spoke she looked up at the much taller Executive, boots shoulder length apart, and standing tall and proper. "Agent Asch is on his way to the field now with the rifle Sir."

"Hm," Seth hummed lightly in acknowledgment with a note of approval. He didn't quite yet know what to think of the red headed agent. He seemed competent, although his short stature with the long hair, seemed rather ridiculous. However, as they saying goes, you can't judge a book by its cover. ... Although there were a few exceptions to this rule that he could think of.
There was silence for a moment or two, before he spoke up again. "How is your work progressing on the G-Ball?"
