Christof watched Barth's expression carefully.
And then glanced away, face flushing.

"Well, alright," Barth said. It couldn't do too much damage. Probably.
"You would um, err, that is, have to do something. For me. In return?" He was usually pretty smooth at making that transition. He wasn't sure why it was suddenly so hard.
He offered Christof his hand.
Every moment it hung there he considered casually taking it back to adjust his hair or fiddle with his pajama collar. Instead it remained awkwardly and painfully waiting midair.

Christof glanced down at the hand for a moment before realizing exactly what was being offered.
But Mistress had said... she liked being the only one who he bore their mark.
But she also said with Barth she wouldn't be horrified, not like with Miss Sin...
He still needed to speak with her. His face flushed hotly, still staring at the offered hand. Mistress liked that he was marked by only her.
But...
He picked at the pealing charred skin of his arm again, brain slowly digesting the implications of that offered hand.
Who's Igor was he?
Mistress wanted him to make his own decisions, though. That was the primary command she had given him.
She wanted to spend time with her other Minions and not him? Well. He wanted to spend time with his other Master.
She wanted him to make up with Barth after all, right?
Instinctively, he nodded before his mouth caught up, "Da."
His hand rose to take the offered slender claws.

There was a familiar crackle, like a tiny thunderclap.
This time, though, there was no jolt up his arm. The prickling, instead, focused where their hands were clasped, smoke finding its way between their knuckles as black squiggles and circles meandered into a sigil. The Favor (and Barth's sigil) were smaller than the last ones. Both their hands glowed, briefly, from the light of the Mark.
Barth withdrew his hand and slumped against the counter in plain relief.
"You err, you left me hanging, for a minute there."

Christof took his more human right hand back, flexing his fingers as he studied the mark on his palm. He swallowed, once again wincing at the taste of vinegar before fidgeting once more to hide the delayed reaction, "Itth... er... itth complicated. Mithtreth thaid... um... but... but I mean, itth jutht a thmall... fawor, I'm thure it will be alright." He hoped.
And it was Barth, after all. Barth was different. They had... an understanding.
