Kyle jumped a bit from the surge, but he kinda knew the Pikachu didn't want to hurt him. He chuckled a bit. "Alright, back in the Poke' Ball." He told her, pulling out her Poke' Ball. He was about to head off to the next town, so he figured putting her back would be easier.

Kyle nodded, then put the ball away. "Alright, then, no Poke Ball. A little exercise never hurt anyone." He said, with a smile. He didn't want to get his new Pokemon friend angry.

Kyle flashed a small grin. "Alright. Let's go." He said eagerly, walking out of town, heading into a forest. He figured getting some battle experience with his new friend would be helpful.

Kyle walked through the forest with a spring in his step. Suddenly, he heard a rustling in the bushes, and a wild Rattata crawled out. Kyle smiled. "Alright, Pika, let's go!" He called, giving it the name Pika. He didn't really know it was her REAL name, though.

The Rattata was easily taken down by Pika's electricity. Kyle smiled, catching it with a Poke' Ball. "Well, that was fast. Maybe we'll find a better challenge as we go along." He told Pika, signaling the little creature to come back to him.

Pika hurried back, climbing up his leg. She yet again clung to his shoulder, not unlike a monkey.

Kyle continued to venture through the forest, he and Pika zapping wild Pokemon as they went. None of them were that strong, anyway. Suddenly, a boy clad in blue showed up, pulling a Poke' Ball, as a challenge to a battle. He threw it, and a Mudkip popped out. Kyle smiled widely. "Alright, Pika, go!" He exclaimed.

Pika leaped off his shoulder. She shot a bolt of lightning at the Mudkip.
(That apparently is her only move....<_<)

The little Mudkip dodged the lightning, blasting a Water Gun at Pika. "Pika, Dodge it!" Kyle warned.

Mudkip got hit pretty hard, but bounced back, using Mud-Slap. This ground type move hit Pika hard. "Pika! You alright?" Kyle asked his partner.
