"Oh..." He said and looked thoughtful for a long moment and then added after a long, dangerously thoughtful and smirk filled pause.
"So you liked this senshi then."
Cats looked less smug after cream than he did at being able to take that small dig.

"...well..." Ever paused to think about it, maybe a bit too hard -- and then realized Zac was teasing and made a little face. His eyes flashed away again, fingers smoothing up through the hair at the nape of his neck.
"Well, he did have green eyes." Maybe he had. A little. Vin had been cute at least, and except for drunkenly kissing a straight man, Ever...well. Chaste. Relatively. "I like green eyes."

A quick tango of emotions flitted across Zac's face, which ended up with 'Uncertainty' and then realization finally taking over. Certainly the proverbial 'air' was let out of his tires on that one, well...except for the punch in the Arm that he fired off, even if it was rather a slight one.
"It was a JOKE, god count on you to be eyeing a senshi for a ...target or whatever." He groused and then paused thoughtful.
"So -that- is why you said Scheelite was hot." he concluded. He arched an eyebrow at Ever, glancing up again despite the difference in height to study his face for reactions as best he could.

Ever huffed as the strike connected, stumbling for one pace: awkward, and then he caught himself, drawing himself up again. Back on balance, he looked down his nose at Zac, to make him feel all the shorter.
"We all have our quirks. And our jealousies. Mine is green eyes. God opted to slam me with...." He waved vaguely at his face, dark eyes, the pupils almost swallowed. People always wanted what they couldn't have.
"But I thought you gathered information on senshi names and powers. No? You don't want that after all?"

"I do... but if you don't remember just write up what you DO remember and we can combine it if we get a matching description, they might be missing information you provided and it will work out." He nodded looking quite satisfied with that and then arched an eyebrow at Ever's slightly self demeaning indication of his eyes.
"What's wrong with dark eyes... besides he 'slammed' you with height too, trade you for -that." He folded his arms, high on his chest which did little to help the 'young' appearance he still had
"... I kind of hate purple eyes." He added randomly "Does that 'count' or is that just weird."

"Just weird." It got another smile, though, before Ever's expression did fade back to thoughtful: trying to remember that senshi's name. He'd said it, hadn't he, in his challenge? Ever thought he remembered that, but the blur of alcohol and the tangled mess of the fight kept cropping up to the front, instead.
Remarkably quiet, he just fell in next to Zac and followed off toward the warehouse. It would take him a while to dig up the information, but when he did, his eyes brightened.
"He said 'Something Grip of the Grape.'" The details eluded him, but the kid had said that a couple times. "...and he was young. Your age. Maybe younger."

"Their creepy!" he shot back... "Kind of... never mind." he finished flushing.
Zac made his way to a small dilapidated shed that looked like Tetanus with a roof. Assembled of rusted metal siding it wasn't the kind of thing you messed with unless you had to... Zac did anyhow.
He fished out a small nylon duffle that yielded nothing more exciting than some large sticks of sidewalk chalk followed by a dowel with a piece of chalk taped to it rather over enthusiastically.
Faya and Selenite would know it VERY well indeed, after all they spent several training sessions against each other on that half rusted out old fire escape.
"Grip of the Grape... sounds... like the california raisins gone bad, Do you know what letter it started with? Their all named for celestial bodies, maybe we can look it up and see if any of them sound right." He offered, pausing to check to make sure the chalk hadn't died a horrid death by dropping.
"Right... so the objective is not to be chalked." He said offering the box to Ever. "Other than your own color I mean, pick one... the girls were kinda particular, Faya hates the pink."

"It's chalk on a stick. Am I going to pretend it's...um. A sword? A staff? Are we fighting with that?" He looked the dowel over uncertainly as he dipped fingers down into the box -- and instead of rooting around for the perfect color, he nabbed the first one his fingers came into contact with.
Faya would be delighted. It was the pink. She'd never have to worry about that with Ever, at least. He held it up, eyes resettling onto it, and made a faintly amused sound. "...and am I supposed to change?"

"Either way works...if you can dodge as a civilian it means you can dodge better in uniform...we can stay like this." He shrugged and put the dowel away.
"The dowel is just for ranged attack dodges, though I have tossed my smoke at them, that though, was before i went general. If I want to give you practice working in low visibility I'll have to pick up some cheep-ones from the science store.... I think you wouldn't like the current effects."
He pulled out a random as well, ending up ironically, with purple, which he scowled at as though it had just played a prank on him.
"So.. No, no staff, not yet... basics first and THEN we move up, Faya and Selenite had to learn on the fire escape, but I am a little worried about a few of the bolts."

The second Zac mentioned the fire escape, Ever went looking for it -- turning in place and staring at the construction in a slack-jawed sort of way that seemed to imply agreement. He didn't want to fight on a fire escape that looked prone to creak and fall off the wall at any moment. He wanted secure bolts, thank you.
"...so..." As he turned back to Zac, he shifted the chalk between sore fingers, grimacing at how it got into still-healing-slashes. "I'm just going to chase you and try to...draw on you? And vice versa?"

Zac nodded succinctly. "...unless its bothering your hands too much." He added.
"Oh..." He paused to add, indicating with his hand. "Aim for..." he indicated his torso generally speaking, something he MIGHT very well regret later. "This area... it's your widest target unless they turn sideways, and you're most likely to hit something that hurts or disables."
"...and DON'T do jumping kicks or I swear to god I will chalk you in the nuts just to show why you shouldn't."

Jumping kicks sounded like a damn fool move to Ever, anyway. He stared down at his chalk in a puzzled way for a little longer, shaking dust off of his fingers -- and then abruptly, without warning or waiting for some kind of starting gesture, he stabbed forward with the chalk right for Zac's torso.
He thought that 'unexpected' was likely to be his best option in most fights. Why not start here?

Zac if nothing else was a slippery little s**t.... He dodged backwards, if barely, with a sound that could roughly be approximated as 'yerk!', which probably meant he'd been surprised.
Though to be honest had he not been indicating the preferred strike zone he'd probably have done the same damned thing.
"Not bad...but you have to hit." He teased trying to regain his balance before fainting forward as though he were aiming at Ever's foremost leg...only to stab higher to blunt nose the chalk towards his leading arm.

He'd get it, and easily, because Ever's instinctive reaction was to cover with his hands and arms as protection, throwing them up as he stepped back so that Zac couldn't get to more sensitive parts of his anatomy. Ever knew how to protect the most painful places: nose, groin, his feet and solar plexus. He fought with people bigger than him, and they didn't need to fight dirty.
"..damnit." He took another step back, scowling at the slash across his arm for just a second before his eyes locked back onto Zac. Maybe he wouldn't make that mistake again.

"It's not a barfight...remember their not just looking to do something painful they want to kill you, disable you..." he warned and carefully circled ever, waiting for him to move enough to uncover something more vital.
"What if one of them ran you strait through the hand, just keep that in mind alright?"
It wasn't a scold, or he was trying to keep it from being one, maybe failing. But he wanted to be sure.
"Oh...and there is at least one senshi who can teleport... I'll tell you about him after."
He darted forward, aiming for the arm again but direct this time, he wanted a cut to the inside, disabling intentions.
