As she sat back down her eyes looked back up towards the tree. Oh, right. She had forgotten about that. Her stomach gnawed at her, as if to give her a gently reminder that she had yet to feed her self today! "Ah... see? I'm so terrible even for myself. I forget to eat and drink a lot if I'm not really focusing hard!" Her face showed a pang of irritation towards herself, face-pawing. this was nothign new to her really, but the fact that she did it as often as she had was embarassing almost. "N-No, it's alright. I really need to be able to catch my own food. I can't have others doing it for me..."

"Well then why don't I teach you? Give a lion a fish and it eats for a day, teach a lion to hunt...and well you get the idea." He slowly raised himself to full height as not to terrify her. He had that habit for spooking people with his size. "I mean it wouldn't 'technically' be me hunting for you anyway. Wouldn't you like to learn?" He flexed his shoulders and rolled them back. Ah that was much better. He hated being in one position for more then a little while.
"So are you up for a quick lesson? I promise I will make it simple so you won't forget it."

A hunting lesson! Now that sure sounded like it'd come in handy; especially for the ever forgetful Mapenzi. Hopefully she'd remember this though Raimi promised it's be simple. "You'd teach me how to do it right? I-I hope I remember!! Please teach me how to hunt, Raimi sir!" Mapenzi bowed her front down foward of him. She figured if she could learn to hunt right, then maybe she wouldn't forget to feed herself!
"I'll try my best!" She raised up and tried to puff out her chest, though her face showed awkwardness which did not match her body language. Knowing her though, she would probably follow him like a lost cub about.

"I'm sure you'll do just fine." He stretched out a limb and placed it in front of him and turned towards the field. "I'm going to teach you how a fox hunts. It may look strange but it will get you a mouse or a rodent every time." He started to creep forward with legs held high and delicately trying not to make a sound in the underbrush. His head twitched back and forth ears listening intently to the movement below. Then he stopped held himself together in one spot and then pounced on the mouse below breaking into his hole and trapping him. Quickly he disposed of it and chomped it back with his teeth.
"Ok biggest lesson here is your ears. Mice will sound different running about inside there holes. If you find a hole. You wait, wiggle then pounce as hard as you can so you can break into there house. The mouse will be trapped under the dirt so just get him while he's dazed and yum...easy meal." He waved a paw. "This whole field is covered in mouse dens. Easy pickins."

Mapenzi watched as he broke in through the shallow ground and picked out a mouse. She was shocked! She didn't know mice were beneath all of dirt! Heck, all this time she could have been having mice snacks by the pop than straining herself and trying to sneak up on clever little birdies. "I-I want to try..." Mapenzi whispered low, her eyes tilted downward as she tried to listen for any skittering below her. It would take a bit for her to fully concentrate on such a task, seeing as how she was easily distracted a lot of the time by other things or critters about. Lightly she took a step foward, not making much noise as she tried to pinpoint a sound in the ground.
Soon enough her ears perked as she thought she heard something coming her way. Her body stiffened and froze in place as she whispered to Raimi, "I-I hear something coming to me... w-what do I do??"
