Well, η XI had left. He didn’t know what he was hoping to accomplish roaming about, but he knew nothing much was happening back at the base. He looked at his copy of the map. Maybe he could head to the light house? Or the beach. Both looked interesting. He really wanted to check out that cave looking thing, but was it floating around out in the water? Swimming in fog would probably be terrible. Nah, may as well go to the beach.
He trudged on sulkily, although slightly less so than usual. He didn’t have those other team members to annoy him with their wimpy attitudes or snootiness, and the authentic solitude rather than clique-induced one was rather refreshing. Casually looking into the fog, he could almost see a figure here and there. Whatever. Probably no one of interest out here.

As soon as Eta VII's feet hit the path, she started second-guessing her decision. Sure it was better to be out doing something, but she was out by herself now, and she'd seen how dangerous this place could be. She'd always been happiest on her own, of course, but that didn't change the fact that it simply wasn't safe.
She thought she saw someone up ahead, although the distance and the remaining bits of mist prevented her from seeing who. What if it was someone from another squad? Better not to run to catch up, then, and risk tiring herself out. Instead she squared her shoulders, did her best to reassure herself, and started down the path.

η XI grew tired relatively quickly. He had two thirds of his health, but that one third was taking its toll. After a while, he simply plopped down where he was and began bandaging himself. He was oddly good at it, unlike the others who had needed assistance… It made him wonder what he was like before all of this. Oh well, at least it meant he could move on without them.
Calling himself an ‘eta’ was getting a little annoying. He was no longer with his group and didn’t really need to be associated with them. Being addressed as ‘eleven’ meant that he’d get confused with other teams, even though his clothes were in a different color. η XI tried thinking of names while he worked on dressing his wounds. Did he even know any guy names? The name ‘Imani’ eased into his head, as though maybe it was a good name and yet maybe he’d simply made it up out of necessity. It didn’t sound particularly familiar, but it would do. η XI would now be going by Imani. Maybe he could find chalk or something to write it on his helmet.
At the sound of footsteps, Imani turned and saw η VII creeping along the path. He waved, and as she got closer he added, “’Ey. Why ya’ll by yo’self? Go git a buddy. You is gonna git beat up.”

XII started off with a light jog, but her injuries slowed her down and she eventually forced herself to stop. It felt like she had a gremlin chipping away at her insides with an ice pick. She fought to catch her breath and waited for the cramps to subside before finally sitting down and giving herself a thorough inspection.
Her injuries weren't really too bad, but they were beginning to get infected. As much as she didn't want to waste resources this early in the game, XII knew she had to take care of them or else suffer the consequences later.

"That's better," XII muttered as she stood. She brushed herself off and carefully fussed at her gasmask. She hated the way it felt. But, she supposed, it was a means to an end. Some kind of end, of that she was sure.

((Z2 and Z12 are re-entering from the Abandoned Town, and heading to the Lighthouse))
The abandoned Town had been a waste of time, but now, with Z2 resting on his back, the duo fighting for hope and survival headed toward the lighthouse. Perhaps it was a beacon of hope! Or maybe a towering beacon of despair? Only time would tell, as they made the quiet trip up the road...

Well, having gotten little response from anyone for the past few days besides the occasional judgmental look, Imani was done with this. He officially walked over to the beach, ignoring any Etas and Gammas that may have been nearby. He didn’t matter to them, so they didn’t matter to him.

This was...a strange road, but more importantly, it appeared to be a long one. Sighing, Eta V walked along it, hoping to get to The Cornfields as soon as possible. He wasn't sure if anyone else from eta would be following along with him, but secretly he hoped so, as traveling in a group would be a lot safer.
While he was here though, it would give him time to think...and perhaps, try to remember who he really was

When she ran into Eta XI, Eta VII also took the chance for a break. "Because no one else back at the base was willing to do anything? I suspect they're all still sitting around," she sighed.
Somehow the busy day caught up with her, and she ended up dozing off by the side of the path. When she woke, Eta XI was long gone. She rose with a start, surprised and annoyed that she'd fallen asleep like that - this was definitely not a safe place. Although, where was?
She continued down the path, finally noticing the dirt turning to sand beneath her feet. She thought she saw a small group of people up ahead, and she turned towards them. Hopefully they'd be friendly... Eta XI was right, she really needed to find someone to wander around with, it wasn't safe by herself.

xxxxxIt had taken her almost half a day to even find the path she was supposed to be on. She had hoped to head out early, but was so miserably lost, that at one point she had just sat down and pouted her very existence on the island. It was just like everyone's eyes had been screaming at her. Why am I on this stupid island? I shouldn't be here, Five had thought, dejectedly. But eventually, she had gotten up, like everyone else, and finally decided to do something.
xxxxxBut What that "something" was, Five wasn't sure. She tried to stay off the road, bushwacking as much as she could. Now that she was in the game, she wanted to play a key part in this whole stupid thing.
xxxxxAt that moment, Gamma Five's phone vibrated lightly. It seems Epsilon 13 had won not one, but two pendants. Rediculous. But Five knew someone would probably take responsibility for killing the soldier too. Gamma Five shook her head, everything was so different here. She knew at some moment, she would just magically wake up and everything would go back together so nicely.
xxxxxBut for the moment, she was just stuck traveling on this stupid road.

After a long and tiring journey, Z12 saw the lighthouse up ahead. Part of him wanted to rush ahead, but fatigue and the body on his back kept his pace slow and steady.

XII could feel a tingle in the air as she approached the cornfields. It was almost electric and sent shivers up her spine. She rubbed at her arms as if to wipe away at the ominous feeling that now made her flesh bubble with anxiety.
A moment later, XII was blinded by a sudden flash of light that erupted right in the midst of the fields. She blinked as the flash disappeared as abruptly as it had appeared, working to readjust her eyes.
"What's going on now?" she breathed allowed. She launched into a steady run to investigate.

He'd decided that going the way to....oh what had it been on the map. That....beach....yeah, beach, would probably be the wisest idea. Heading that way meant that he'd have a chance to explore and see what he could find down there. Who knew. Maybe he'd find a Pendant or even a friend to travel along with. Something he knew for sure....traveling alone was dangerous.
