Althalos trainee/swordmaster/phoenix energy:350/350 Althalos looked at the figure on the throne. So this was pride. He was a bit... smaller than Althalos had expected. After debating with the voices inside his head about what to do next, Althalos finally made a move. He knew to win the sin he'd have to actually talk, something he rarely did. First, he got on one knee, a gesture of respect before standing back up. "Pride, you may be the most powerful being in all of Axiom, but you need a host to cause mass destruction. I can be your host. While you are already powerful enough, together we could be so much more powerful. Sure, Connor is stronger and older, for now. But guns will only get you so far. I am a phoenix. In due time I will have the power to light kings aflame, explode cities with a simple flick of my finger! Together, we could be unstoppable. We could lead axiom with my sword and your chain and power. While this room may be better than most beings in Axiom, I could make it even better for you, and outside of this dreaded tower. Don't tell me you enjoy staying here? All you need to do to get out is allow me to be your host." The Phoenix stated, putting emphasis on key words. It was obvious that while prideful, Althalos knew when he had met a stronger being. The stronger being this time happened to be pride. While he was listening to the voices inside his head sounding shocked that he had such a wide vocabulary. This was the first time in a long time that Althalos spoke more than five words in one sentence. But, conquest for power requires sacrifices. And talking, while small to some people was big for Althalos. His philosophy was to speak little, that way your words carry more meaning than anyone elses. While gaining the sin would most definitely help Pride out, Althalos wanted the sin for his own intentions as well. Sure, it would make him stronger. But not only that, his goal was to gather up all of the sins into one body. Sure, the more sins you have, the more insane you are. But Althalos was already insane. He figured he couldn't get much more insane, so may as well become insane and powerful. And Pride, the most powerful sin was a good place to start wasn't it? "Playing with fire is bad for those who burn themselves. For the rest of us, it is a very great pleasure."

Pride, at least, had enough manners to stay quiet for Althalos's speech. It was true, he needed a host to enter Axiom, which was where the extremely rare source of manners was coming. However, while he stayed quiet, he didn't necessarily pay attention. Before the potential host could even finish his first sentence, Pride had taken to using his manipulation of energy to carve even more inscriptions in the ceiling right above him or to erase some of the older ones. His eyes were completely focused on his own work and every now and then he would mutter some sort of praise to himself with an over-confident smile as he puffed up his chest in what was obviously pride. For several minutes after Althalos was finished, Pride continued to enjoy his own art. His face was crumpled into a smile of enjoyment that looked strangely ancient on the child-like face. His fingers waved in intricate patterns as he manipulated the tiles of the ceiling. Now, instead of markings that looked faintly like words, there were more wider scribbles--curves and lines that looked like they belonged to some sort of large drawing.

Althalos trainee/swordmaster/phoenix energy:350/350 Althalos sighed. It was obvious that pride hadn't listened to much of what he said. Hopefully some of it had sunken in however. He noticed the sin making intricate drawings of... something on the cieling. While it was hard to tell what it was, it certainly was styllish."My my, what a work of art. almost as good as mine. The swordmaster stated, putting emphasis on the word almost. While it was true Althalos was good at art, that wasn't the reason he had contested the sin's art. He had done it primarily to get the sin's attention. Althalos hated talking, and to him, his words were so important due to the fact that he would eventually become the strongest being on axiom, that nobody should dare ignore his words of wisdom.. Not even a sin, he decided logically. "Playing with fire is bad for those who burn themselves. For the rest of us, it is a very great pleasure."

Pride continued to ignore Althalos as he swept his hand in one more flourish before returning his attention back to the swordmaster. "Ah, done already?" the sin asked with his cocky smile as the ceiling tiles above him shifted their spots, kind of like the pieces of a tile puzzle, "Your speech was so boring that I lost interest in it. Now then." Pride then stood up on his seat and coughed a couple times to clear his voice. As he did so, the tiles finally stopped moving and instead the white etches began to glow brightly. Now that they were completely arranged, a picture could be seen, something that looked like an exact replica of Michaelangelo's painting on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. However, there was one main difference. Yes, Pride had replaced the image of God with an image of himself and instead of reaching out of Adam's hand, his foot was placed firmly in an obviously superior position on Adam's back. The changes, could have been seen as comical or scandalous. One thing that nearly everyone could agree on, though, was that they were done flawlessly, blending in so perfectly with the rest of the painting that they seemed as if they belonged to the original itself. "I AM GOD!!!!!" was the first thing the conceited Sin declared after standing up and the only thing he declared before plopping himself back in his seat. Once seated, a sadistic smile stretched across his face as he continued, "You uncouth simpleton, you bore me with your pompous language. You're lower than a worm. I 'may be the most powerful being in all of Axiom'? I am the most powerful being! There is no 'may' involved! What is this 'may' you're talking about? I have no need of someone who looks down on me. You have the power 'light kings aflame, explode cities with a simple flick of my finger'? Bah! What's so special about that?!" his eyes lit up with something akin to insanity as he let loose a laugh that resounded crazily across the room, "Kings are nothing! They are worms to me! As for cities, they're simply slugs! I am all-powerful. Nothing can stop me! Why would I need someone who can kill worms and slugs when I AM GOD?!". Suddenly, his face contorted into one of intense rage as he shouted. "SHUT UP! I'M SERIOUS!". The skulls at the feet of his throne rattled dangerously with the energy Pride let loose as the light seeping through to create the painting on the ceiling flickered off then on then off then stayed on once more to create a lightning-like effect. Just as suddenly as the rage appeared, it disappeared and was replaced by yet another expression. This time, it was a confident smile once more once more, but with a vein pulsing on the side of his head, "This world follows my rules. My commands. My laws. My wishes. Everything bows to me. There is no 'could' or 'may' or any such useless uncertainty involved. Everything is 'are' or 'is' or 'am' or some other word of absolute meaning. Every word, every command of mine is absolute. Everything I make is absolutely the best. I AM GOD!!". There was a pause while the Sin maintained his grin. Then, he ended his current outburst with a nasty sneer that explained the still-pulsing vein, "You believe you can do better than me? My art is 'almost as good as' yours? Well then, it seems you have no need of me."

Althalos trainee/swordmaster/phoenix energy:350/350 Althalos thought for a moment. Pride was a tricky sin to win. "Yes, the world follows your rules and commands. When you get out of the tower. And of course I have need of you. as you say, you're the most powerful being in axiom. Of course I need you. Even though kings are be worms and cities slugs to you, With me as your host kings would be nothing and cities mere ants. Even though the world is yours already, you could enjoy it more outside of this tower.Together we're going to be more powerful than you already are, making us something past ultimate power." Althalos said, tilting his head upwards and looking up at the redone painting. He heard the voices in his head advising him to back down, but he wouldn't listen. He wanted pride for his own extremely. ((eh... kinda short post but oh well)) "Playing with fire is bad for those who burn themselves. For the rest of us, it is a very great pleasure."

Pride sat back, closed his eyes, and basked in the praise Althalos was giving him, even ignoring the insulting "When you" part. However, there was one thing he couldn't ignore as when it came, his eyes shot open into a menacing glare. "Oh, so you think I am not past 'ultimate power' already?" Pride started out with a threatening calm before going into a full-out rampage on his seat, which actually had more of the appearance of a small kid throwing a tantrum rather than a Sin rampaging, " I AM GOD!!! God is past ultimate! I am past ultimate! Who do you think you are, you fragment of a harmless plankton to think that you would be able to make me greater than I already am! There is nothing greater than me, I have already reached the pinnacle of greatness!". Suddenly the rampage/tantrum stopped. In his frenzy, Pride had come to stand on his throne once more. His face, distorted by rage only a moment ago was distorted with yet another sneer as he turned up his nose and puffed up his chest pompously. He asked with the same sneer, "You believe I need you, do you not?".

Althalos trainee/swordmaster/phoenix energy:350/350 Althalos thought for a good long while before speaking this time. It was clear that every word he said wwas crucial, and he shouldn't use unnecessary ones. "Of course you don't need me. You don't need anything but yourself. But you need a host to leave this tower correct? Well, why not me? You may be at ultimate power, but with me you could unleash that ultimate power onto Axiom. So you don't need me, but you could use me." The Phoenix replied to the sin, using logic. There was no praise or insult in his sentences, just plain facts. For once, the voices in his head were deadly silent, unsure of whether to commend Althalos or to nag him again. Pride's response would probably decide it however. "Playing with fire is bad for those who burn themselves. For the rest of us, it is a very great pleasure."

"I could use you," Pride waved his hand to erase the picture he had just created and immediately replace it with the inscriptions that had been on the ceiling when Althalos entered, his face was dull and emotionless, he had lost all interest, "However, using implies needing and I do not need anything nor do I want to need anything. You bore me and misunderstand me. I care not a whit, not a micro-nanometer, not an atom's worth about unleashing my power on Axiom," suddenly a finger pointed in Althalos's direction, his face remained as uninterested as ever, "You mistake me for some inferior mixture of Greed and Wrath. I am far above either of them. Rejected." With that, Althalos would feel himself grabbed by a large claw, the same one that had dragged him to the Tower in the first place, and pulled through the floor. Upon reaching Axiom, he would be unconscious and lying in the exact same place that he had been dragged from, as if he had simply been sleeping there for the entire time. Back in the Tower, the door to Pride's room creaked open once more. Ready to allow in whoever was next. Once more, the room was darkened, making it seem to whoever was going to step in that they were stepping into absolutely nothing.

((( Then it's Warrior vs. Pride Round Two! May's turn! Ready.....!!! FIGHT!!!! DING!!!! XD Too much Zoids. )))
May only smirked at the gunslinger and waved. "Sure~ You and I can have lots of fun once we're out of this place~" she said. She then laid back on the floor and took a nap. When the dark door way opened again May yawned and woke up. She stood and brushed the dirt off her. Giving everyone a cheeking smirk and a wave, she stepped through the door way into the empty room and....

Mikura wanted nothing more than to fill her full of bullets. He wished he could see how many he could put in her body before it would hit the floor. But instead he simply grinned at the thought of what would happen when they were finished with this tower. He would make sure to end her life before she could take another jab at his pride.
