The aura of hatred and anger around the figure seemed to pulse as it ripped into Beta-Six. They really seemed to be pissing it off.

"MY ACTIONS ARE MERCY! DIE!"

The blows it rained on them would seem never ending, why where you trying to fight back against them when it was so clearly futile?

Wow.. that poor person... was doing terribly. They were so helpless! He had to save him!

Z12's desire to help made his resolve strong.He attacked the shadow again with his dagger! He could not ignore anyone screaming for help! "I'm coming!"

"Aaaaah!!!" The moment the shadow screamed in his face like something from a horror movie, Z12 nearly s**t himself. But, it was suddenly gone. His heart raced, hand he wimpered a bit, not believing what had happened. "I...It's gone.." For good.. it seemed.

He did it.... He did it! He saved a life! "A-are you okay?" He asked worriedly, helping him up.

But...

He solemnly approached the body that had fallen. So sad... He knelt down, searching for anything valuable he could take for himself. He saved the day, right? Why not.. Survive. Thats what he had to do..

"Good bye.. you fought so hard. May you find peace.."

Zeta 12 watched, slightly stunned as Beta 6 seemed to throw themselves onto the body. Wow.. they were worse for wear. Zeta 12 got himself up, after laying the fallen soldier's hands over his chest, all proper like, and started to walk away. He had left someone unattended in the tent, and was a bit worried about their well being.

Beta 6 seemed so wary of him. He could try to let him know he wasn't a bad person, but he felt his action spoke louder as it was.

Maybe it was for the best...

Oh thank god the figure had run off before it had done any more damage and her comrades had gotten ahold of poor G7's medkit to patch themselves up - it was sad about G7 of course but at least his kits would now help the rest of them survive. That was something.

Speaking of surviving she was really starting to think that she needed to find a better weapon and so while the others patched themselves up and the yellow clad person left without so much as a by your leave Three spent some time searching G7's body.

He hadn't even had a weapon!

The thought was running through his head over and over again. That weird monstrous person had slaughtered someone without even a weapon to defend themself.

"That thing.." Bix stood, shaking on his legs slightly, "I think it used to be one of us. I mean maybe not one of us.. but maybe they did this before to other people." It sounded like some far fetched horror tale. "All I'm saying is that it had on gas mask.. and when it was up close to me it definitely had the body of a woman!"

He stuffed his gun into his belt just for a moment so he could pack the new medkit into his bag. After it was thrown back over his shoulder he walked over to Before.

"Hey.." He grabbed the other Beta by the shoulder strongly. He didn't feel strong but his team mate looking like a traumatized child made him straighten up a bit. Bix had no confidence and no leadership skills but maybe the fact that a freaky monster just almost killed him and he was absolutely helpless, made the Beta take a little more notice of the severity of their situation. "I'm good now. Gamma-7 is in a better place too. NOT HERE."

"Everyone okay?" His voice still held no confidence and wavered uneasily. He nodded gratefully to Bee, someone who had stuck with them reliably this far. There were a few people in the Lighthouse when they'd arrived but the attack was so fast he wasn't sure if they were friend or foe. Their cell phones seemed to all buzz again and after he checked it he looked to them all.

"Looks like we made it to Day 3." He sighed, a depressed and disappointed sort of sigh.

Bix was taken way off guard by the massive hug that Before had given him. He patted the other Beta on the back in an awkward, yet grateful way. It was nice to be alive at least.

"Boss got a phone call. A special one. She had to go." It wasn't entirely the truth but he didn't want Beta-4 to have a fit. "She's got BALLS though. You know."

He looked at the small group they had and the massive lighthouse they stood at the ground floor of.

"Should we go up?" After the last attack he wasn't feeling very confident in this place. What if more freaky warped beings lurked in the darkness?!

"We can always leave.. if it seems too dangerous." He was pretty sure any corner that he turned from now on.. well if he saw a person he was going to shoot. "What do you think, Bee?" He stuck with that nickname. Cheese just wasn't catching on with him.

Before sniffled loudly but tried to look hopeful. Not that it would have been visible behind the gas mask. "A-awesome for Boss, then! She's gonna come back with heads dangling over her shoulder, isn't she?" He breathed deep, trying to compose himself, and failed miserably. Again he heaved a loud, overly dramatic sob, "If Boss and that Gamma-guy that got offed wanted to go up, LET'S GO UP!!!!" he cheered, trying to be as brave as his other Beta-mates are being. Which in his head was A WHOLE ******** LOT and as Boss told him when she was still here he'd better not slow them down.

Wherever she was, Before was going to make sure he followed her orders so he could tell her when they came face-to-face again that he didn't slow them down. No siree Bob!
