___ and Efa meet (unsure how as of yet) have a whirlwind romance and fall totally and completely in love despite their differences(she a land crature, he a water creature-->would their families care?) they 'date' for a while and ___ decides he wants her as a lifemate (Soq equivilent of wife), and he wants to find the perfect token to give her to show her just how much he is in love with her. He sets out on a small trip through the (ocean?) to find such a gift. He finds a seemingly abandoned horde of treasure in a cave and takes a beautiful ruby necklace to give to Efa. He returns, gives it to her and she agrees to 'lifemate' with him, they spend a passionate night together, he knocks her up but of course neither are aware. After their night, he goes for a swim in the ocean and is attacked by an evil sea witch(NPC) who accuses him of stealing from her and as punishment curses him so he can only step onto land once every five years to spend the day with his beloved. She allows him the one day because he was honest with her about his misdeed. The curse needs to somehow work to keep her out of the water too, maybe being around each other causes physical pain unless it is on this specific day? Anyways, he is bound to the water and to the service of the sea witch every day except for the one and has to obey her every whim and command (he is her slave b***h boy and does all her dirty work). He doesn't even get to say goodbye in person to Efa and doesn't find out she got pregnant and has had his children until the first five years is up, when I am assuming the children will already be grown.

I'm thinking someone is going to have to offer the sea witch something pretty heavy to get her to let ___ go, like their friggen first born child...or kill her...but that's less amusing and ends such a good plot opportunity for good....
PostPosted: Thu Apr 07, 2011 7:22 pm

Like I said, Cordelia encounters the witch unknowingly and pretty much the witch asks her what she would do to have her father's curse lifted. She answers with 'anything'.

The witch obliges her, but in return Cordelia can never return to the sea. She gets weak and passes out from being in the ocean that she loves so much.

Ooooh ooooh ooooh upon reading jades idea, maybe she placed a curse on the necklace as well... That causes the illness.... none of em know it and the witch sees no reason to tell.... eh!? get what i'm gettin at!? you pickin up what i's puttin down?! mrgreen

Also... Maybe being near the ocean makes it flare? or maybe when he comes near it makes it worse, if he came on to land, when it's not the specific day, she would die... slowly... not just flop over...
PostPosted: Thu Apr 07, 2011 7:31 pm

That's awesome actually. <3 So, scratch the Uni healer...hrm. But, we still don't want the mother to die or else there would be no point in trying to get them back together.

I also don't think a character death is conducive to winning. lol

Hmmmm...so, would Cordelia's sacrifice break that too? Or, would her mother not be able to come near HER then? Er, since in essence Cordelia agrees to have her father's curse passed on to her in a similar but different form.
PostPosted: Thu Apr 07, 2011 7:52 pm

I did and it said no one was online. So I got off.

Maybe when Cordelia makes the sacrifice it gets rid of the curse so that ___ can come near her again but it still keeps her sick, then they go back to her and shes all 'I did what yew said, stop bitchin'" and then they have to cut another deal? xD Just keepin' it interesting and dramatic for fun effects

Well guys, we're kinda sorta running out of time. So, how about this...we'll do kinda a...reverse...story...thinger. Like, it'll basically be rp but I'll start with a skeleton of the whooooole thing, and then everyone edit in their pieces? I think it'll work, it is roleplaying still, just not in the traditional way?? xD

Anywho.

SO TIRED GUYZ NEEDZ SOME SLEEP...
PostPosted: Thu Apr 07, 2011 9:12 pm

THIS IS ME ON VERY LITTLE SLEEP AND VEEEERY TIRED. EDIT IT AND MAKE IT PRETTY GUYZ!!!

Once upon a time...

Okay, someone other than me is going to write how they met. Seriously.

Next part~

Efa waited for him to return for days. Weeks. Months. Still, he did not reappear above the waters. She settled uncomfortably in the sand with her fat belly digging down into the ground. The necklace that hung from her neck felt heavy and she wondered if he were even still alive.

"Roarke" she whispered to herself, brokenly.

The children were born and still she waited. A home had grown from a small cave and a gentle hill that led to the beach. The cave was quite inviting with its soft piles of leaves and grass, dried so they would not smell. Liam looked at his sister as she slept on, unaware that their mother was at it again. Watching the coast with a faraway look in her eyes, Efa still spent every sunset down by the beach waiting for their father.

Liam and Cordelia had been raised on stories of their father and his adventures.

((Jade, please edit in some adventures here if you can otherwise figure out a way to tie this section off.))

Roarke had spent the last five years in the service of the witch from whom he stole the ruby necklace for his mate. He'd done every task she asked of him since then, without much choice in the matter. She had told him that if he approached his mate before the first day of the fifth year, she would fall ill and die. He wasn't willing to risk that, considering everything else the witch had told him had been true. It was still a little before midnight and he could feel the pain in his chest that meant the curse was enforcing itself.

He waited patiently for the sun to rise before leaving the chilly waters, shaking his whole body vigorously to rid him of the excess water. Wondering where his lover was, he followed a distinct trail of hoofprints up a hill away from the beach.

How novel it was, to be in the open air once again! The underwater cavern served as a place for him to sleep and rest, but it was nothing compared to the sun beaming directly down on him for the first time in five years.

The cave he found nestled into a small hill looked to be lived in and he eagerly strode forward to see the love of his life once more. Only to stop dead as he saw the two full-grown soquili that could only be his children. They were a perfect blend of him and her, and despite being caught completely off guard he felt an instant bond with the two still sleeping.

Efa mumbled in her sleep, as if sensing that her long lost lover was near. She cracked an eye open and slowly closed it again at the site that greeted her. It was obviously another dream, she thought to herself.

"Efa, love. I have returned." Roarke whispered, having moved to stand next to her with his head bent, muzzle next to her ear.

Sitting bolt upright, Efa blahblahblah, Tolly you feel free to change absolutely anything here to do with Efa, she's your character and I'm just trying to get a rough outline done so we can all edit it today/tomorrow!!!

And so, Roarke spent the day with his family and getting to know his children. He had never felt so complete blahblahblah (Jade)

He did something he shouldn't have. He tried to stay another day. When the sun set, he nearly fell to the ground from the immediate onset of the pain.

Efa too, seemed to look deathly ill. Cordelia rushed to her mother, concerned when she seemed to sag and lay in the sand, panting, clearly in pain.

(Tolly, add here if you like) (Baz too)

blah blah blah

((How about Liam and Cordelia both go together then? They both can swim...))

Cordelia paced the cave, worried. Mother hadn't gotten any better since Father had left, even though he said she would. She knew it wasn't his fault, the stories mother had raised them on painted him as a good person and he would never do this to their mother on purpose. Besides, he had been in just as much pain as Mother. She glanced at Liam out of the corner of her eye and leaned into his side, offering silent comfort.

"Liam, I have a plan..." she whispered so that their mother would not wake form her fitful sleep.

blahblahblah

She eagerly ran into the waves lapping at the beach, the water swirling around her legs and she was quickly up to her torso, moving with the gentle rocking of the ocean. Looking behind her, she gestured with her head that Liam should follow.

They swam together for a while, occasionally diving down to see if they could find their father. Cordelia knew she could last a long time under the water as she had been slowly increasing her lung capacity her entire life. She loved the ocean and if it were up to her, she would have gills so she would never leave it.

((Liam's turn? Write something here, time skipping to the witch))

A dark figure lurked inside the cave and Cordelia shivered looking at the way the light seemed to stop a few feet from the figure. It was like she was sucking it in...and then she spoke.

"You wish to find your father, yes?" the voice was high and gravely ((bad description)).

"Where is he?! Do you know? Tell me!!" Cordelia demanded, moving forward despite her uneasiness.

"Why would I tell you anything, little filly? You are in my home, breaking down my door, and demanding answers to questions that do not concern you? Hmmm..." the witch taunted, a smirk evident in her voice.

Cordelia growled as well as she was able underwater and became conscious of the fact she was running out of air. She needed to end this confrontation quickly, "Just tell me where my father is. I need to find him, our mother is deathly ill. He might know how to help her..."

"Oh no, he knows nothing of your mother's illness. Tell me, dear, what would you do to save your mother? Your father?" Cordelia caught a glimpse of slimy black skin and beady yellow eyes. She shivered.

"Anything." was said with a tone of finality.

The witch paused as the word processed and a smirk spread across her muzzle, revealing glinting pointed teeth, "Very well. Your father is within the cave behind me, unconscious but unharmed. Take him to your mother and get your brother off the top of my cave or he will lack eyeballs in a moment..."

She glanced up at where her brother was lurking, surprised to see him. He must have come to find her after regaining his breath and been waiting to see if she needed assistance. Hoping her eyes had communicated that he should follow her, she moved swiftly past the witch and into the cave.

blahblahblah

((too much Cordelia I think, but I tried to not godmod anyone's characters. Edit in and/or out anything you like, everyone. Quote the post though adn then edit, don't just hit 'edit' on my post. I want the original version and then a version from everyone with some more parts filled in and we'll smash it all together and call it goods.))

"Liam, I have a plan..." she whispered so that their mother would not wake form her fitful sleep.

He lifted his head and stared at her through half opened eyes, "What is this plan of yours, dear sister?"

Without giving a response she eagerly ran from the cave, to the beach, andinto the waves lapping at the beach, the water swirling around her legs and she was quickly up to her torso, moving with the gentle rocking of the ocean. Looking behind her, she gestured with her head that Liam should follow.

"You know i'm not nearly as good a swimmer as you, plus i lack your extra appendage that propels you through the water with such grace..." he added as he attempted to follow through the lapping waves, that got increasingly rougher as he made his way from the shore, "So do pace yourself... for me?"

They swam together for a while, occasionally diving down to see if they could find their father. Cordelia knew she could last a long time under the water as she had been slowly increasing her lung capacity her entire life. She loved the ocean and if it were up to her, she would have gills so she would never leave it.

Trudging along behind his sister he peeked under the surface of the salty water to see nothing, once his eyes adjusted he was able to see small fish, but otherwise darkness. lifting his head he shook his mane out of his face, only managing to get it mangled in his antlers, "This swimming is a lot harder than i remembered it to be..." he weezed, "Are we almost there? It's too deep so i can't see a thing."

His sister didn't give a response, but she dove again, leaving him treading water at the surface. taking a few shallow breaths he took one last deep breath and plunged into the depths.

The sea floor became more clear as Liam made his way to the bottom, he noticed a kelpi like figure slithering into a cave and figured his sister must have found something, so he planted himself on the roof in a studly like manor and shook his mane, 'Don't worry Cordelia!' he announced in his deep adventerous voice, 'I've got your back!'

he tried to keep his straight serious adventerous face, but soon cracked a smile, then giggled his way up to the surface as the air escaped his mouth. Liam finished his good laugh and dove back down, keeping watch atop the cave.

A dark figure lurked inside the cave and Cordelia shivered looking at the way the light seemed to stop a few feet from the figure. It was like she was sucking it in...and then she spoke.

"You wish to find your father, yes?" the voice cackled at Cordelia's coy ways.((better? description)).

"Where is he?! Do you know? Tell me!!" Cordelia demanded, moving forward despite her uneasiness.

Why would I tell you anything, little filly? You are in my home, breaking down my door, and demanding answers to questions that do not concern you? Hmmm..." the witch taunted, a smirk evident in her voice.

Liam's cheeks buldged as the air escaped his lips again, and he made one final trip to the surface, before diving down and following her into the cave.
