"...Well at least we know we will always know where you are. Jesus man, we need to work on your stalking skills." She was laughing though, despite her words being a bit spiteful sounding.
It seemed you could teach him to not fear, you just needed a firm hand.
"Its a good thing the library is close to where we are headin-.... do you feel that?"
She stopped suddenly, heels scraping the roof with a high pitched screech as the lieutenant went rigid, watchful. A senshis aura was close.

Ilmenite had mostly just been paying attention to getting his balance, stabilizing, not overshooting or undershooting or falling on his face. He drew to a halt when she did, his own shoes clattering gracelessly against the concrete.
For a moment, he just blinked at her, confused -- and then he did feel it, and it made him grimace a little. Intrusive, that. As much fingernails against a chalkboard as Faya's shoes had been.
"What is it?" He pivoted to face it, at least, fumbling to get an idea.

Oh, right. Ilmenite never felt a senshi aura before.
"Senshi, from the way it feels... it feels like a few of them, possibly patrolling?" Crouching down slightly, she slunk over to the edge of the building as quiet as she could. Making a nod, she turned around and put a index finger against her lips. Aka: SHHHHHHHHHHHH
With a wave of her hand...she hoped he could follow quietly. Some stories below them , there was a pair of senshi chit chatting from the way it looked. One was a female in a lime green fuku and had honey blond hair. The other... male...or a female with short black hair. Fuku appeared to be black. "If the male him?" She whispered, she was not too good with auras... couldn't tell if they were super or not.

Slowly and as quietly as he could manage, Ilmenite eased in next to her to squint down at the senshi below. It only took him a moment to determine no, that certainly wasn't the senshi he'd met up with, and he shook his head at Faya with a quick shrug. He was fairly obviously uninterested in dealing with random other senshi, too.
Ilmenite backed up slowly before the pair could notice him, huffing in a breath and heading the route easiest travelled, so he could at least try at being quiet. It slowed him down, meant Fayalite would almost certainly pass him and take the lead again, but he genuinely did not mind.
Another duo; the pair of them pausing to peer down over the edge, another shaken head. This one female, with far too much pink. No, certainly not. Another, male this time, but wearing what looked like a skirt. No way. Chaonis had definitely been wearing pants, Ilmenite remembered that.
Eventually, they would have to draw to a halt, somewhat frustrated and tired, Ilmenite swiping at his hair and considering lighting up a cigarette for a break. "Maybe we should just go get a drink."

"This city is infested." She grumbled, heaving a little herself suddenly glad her uniform always pulled her hair up into a pony tail. Mid back length hair was annoying at the best of times.
"After all that work of dodging, and not even finding the target? I say we get two drinks, each." She was a bit pissed off, but not really willing to show it. The act of getting the drinks was going to be fun, Fayalite was not a people person.
"Which bar do you usually go to?" there were multiple bars in the area.

Ilmenite gave into the urge and went rooting through his pockets for a moment, hissing in frustration until he came up with his pack of cigarettes. He didn't want to think about how that had happened: they'd been in the pocket of battered cargo pants before he'd powered up...
"Are you even legal?" It was an absent question as he fished out one of the cigarettes and slipped it between his lips. It dangled there, Ilmenite hunting hopelessly for his lighter, too. "You just want me to buy you booze..."

"Hey." She said, eyes narrowed. "Im legal enough as my card says." Clearly this meant two things A: She had a fake ID and B: No she was not legal.
"I have bought stuff before on my own, so no i do not need your help. I do not drink very often." It was true, she was a very social drinker and rarely boozed up for the hell of it. She was just frustrated tonight.
"....Dont you know only you can prevent forest fires." She slung back at him, towards the cigarette in his mouth. "here." She said anyways, summoning her lantern once more and pulling out the tiny little candle that was lit within.

"...how come you get a lantern, and I get goddamned duct tape?" Not that he was really protesting. He reached out to press the tip of his cigarette into the light, eyes focused on it as the flame kindled. Ilmenite shook his head as he leaned back, tossing his lighter off the edge of the building, instead. If he didn't have one easily accessible, he'd have to buy a new one.
In demonstration, as he drew the first long breath of smoke inward, he produced his duct tape: neat roll, the end flapping in the wind. Not terribly intimidating.

Super Sailor Chaonis was out on patrol. Kind of. Which was, really, always how he did patrol, so he didn't need to qualify it in his mind any more. As far as he was concerned, he was on patrol, period.
Leisurely strolling through an alley, he was not in a hurry. He hadn't yet felt anything around him, but that was probably because he wasn't actively looking for it. In fact, he might as well just power down and go home, all things considered. All he was doing was strolling along, waiting to see if he saw anyone fighting, or any youmas trying to eat someone.
Something to hit.
And then, like a sign from above, something hit him on the head. Light, like it had fallen from the rooftops. His first instinct was to look up, but he fought it to bend and pick up the offending object first. A lighter? Who was smoking on the roofs?
He was hoping for a pyromaniac.
Moving to the ladders, he climbed up lazily, poking his head up over the edge of the roof to spy two Negas hanging out. He grinned broadly at the sight.
"Why hello, ladies."

"...Ilmenite!" She said a moment, eyes wide. Maybe she had been drinking before ever realizing it, she sure as hell had not picked up on an aura until it was almost too late, an aura that plainly said 'im a badass senshi dont ******** with me'. Narrowing her eyes, she took a step towards her fellow team mate. If they were going to fight they would need to fight together. Though another reason why, was her whispering out of the corner of her mouth. "Is this him?"
A pause, before her gaze turned to the random floating head on the side of the building.
"Good evening, asshat."

Ilmenite started at her comment, half-turning in place -- and then his expression hardened, eyes settling on Chaonis.
"...yes. That's very much him." It was biting, short, sharp and furious -- and without waiting for any kind of fair game, without setting the scene or explaining pleasantries, he flicked the lit cigarette in the senshi's direction. It spun through the air, leaving a faint orange afterimage in its wake.
In the mean time, he pulled his duct tape. And grimaced. He hadn't really thought this out.

The Senshi of Danger climbed up onto the roof, adjusting the pads on his arms leisurely as he took in the two negas. He had never run into two at once before, and he wondered how much of a fight they would put up. Probably quite a bit.
Which was perfect for him, since he was looking for a challenge. And the actual lady was rude to him. So that was that.
Not realizing Ilmenite was the same civilian he had decked out not too long ago, the Senshi imagined he was facing two strangers. They didn't have any reason to hate him but the fact that he was a senshi. That was more than enough, as he judged them on being Negaverse in the same way.
"What a waste," he said, shaking his head as the cigarette fell. He didn't watch it, though, eyes on the duo. When the guy in heels pulled out his duct tape, Chaonis' ability to take him seriously dropped below zero. He sputtered a laugh and pointed. "What are you going to do, give me a leg wax?"

Taking the small flame, she placed it back inside the paper lantern. It was a small wonder that thing never caught it on fire, but then again... it was like teasing a lion. Only time would tell if it would bite back.
"Oh and here i heard grown men cry getting anything waxed. Im not so certain about little boys though." Looking towards Ilmenite, she gave a tiny smirk. Clearly she was goading the senshi. "We could always find out, though now cant we? Test subject numbero uno... the one wearing the plastic push up bra."
Her goading was meant to rile him up... a riled up senshi meant they threw caution in the wind, made mistakes.

Ilmenite shrugged in reply -- but he did look a bit pained by the comment. Not the insult of it but the truth. What good was duct tape in the midst of a fight? It had its uses after but...
Well, he'd try at least. While they exchanged banter, he set to wrapping up his knuckles, sticky side out, the tape ripping and settling against his hands. He felt like an a**, but maybe it had magical properties. Or maybe it would just hurt like a b***h, stick to things, and get them all tangled up.
"Am I supposed to say something witty, too? Or are we just going to do this?"

Chaonis grinned at his two opponents, though he was on edge. His muscles coiled and he knew he needed to stay on his toes. Enjoying himself was one thing, and a very important thing at that, but staying alive was even more critical.
"I think I'm going to enjoy punching your lights out," he said, then noticed the pun he had made. He pointed at her lamp, laughing. "Oh hey! Light! Man, I'm good. And don't be hating the gear." He patted his chest plate, shaking his head, "just because flat is still more than your chest has to offer you doesn't mean you have to hate."
It was good for Chaonis that, besides the urge to keep himself alive, he threw the rest of caution to the wind regularly. Riled up or not.
"It's okay, Ma'am," he said, eying Ilmenite as he whined about their witty back and forth, "you don't have to play if you can't think of anything. I'm sure someone who needs help closing some boxes needs you more than we do."
He grinned, and then he charged. They were here to fight, weren't they? His first target was Fayalite, if only because he didn't think the other guy could do much with his sticky tape against fists.
