Mitsu flinched when she heard the shriek, her eyes going wider if possible. Watching as a woman came stumbling out of the alley Mitsu couldn't seem to sort out what was going on until she started talking on the phone. "A...a murder?" Instantly Mitsu's heart leaped into her throat and then sank into her stomach. The sickening feeling was almost overwhelming.

At first Mitsu started to head toward the woman to see if she was okay but before she managed to make it to her a scent caught her nose. Turning sharply toward the alley Mitsu tried to peer in but didn't see anything right away. Why was his scent here? Had he come and committed the murder or....would Mitsu find Shun's body in a heap in the alley. The fear of either made her hesitate as she started to step forward.

As she stepped a little closer to the alley and the darkness got a little thicker Mitsu's eyes began to glow to aid her in seeing. It was good an bad being able to see at that moment. Mitsu could easily see that the body in the alley wasn't Shun after a good look....but she could see a body in an alley with blood all around.

"N..no no," Her voice was wavering as she stepped a bit closer taking in the scent. "He...he was here. Blade, he was here." She seemed so surprised by this discovery because she had been searching for the last few days and turned up nothing, but it also had her worried. All this blood, some of it smelled of him.

Shaky legs took a few more steps before Mitsu bolted into the alley, her fear cast aside as she frantically searched for her lost friend. "Shun? SHUN!?" Would he still be close? How long ago had this happened? How badly had he been injured? Would he need help?

Mitsu followed the trail as far as the fire escape. The scent she was following seemed to go upward but her progress slowed as her hand grabbed hold of the first rung on the latter. With a deep swallow she looked upward, the top of the building was so far up but....Shun could be up there and hurt no less.

Looking back to the ground she saw the blood splattered around the base of the latter and a look of determination over took her face. Trying not to think about it too much Mitsu started to climb, though the higher she got the longer it took her to grab hold of the next rung. Near the top she nearly froze all together but her shaky hands managed to drag her the rest of the way over the top of the building. Her legs didn't really want to stand once she was at the top but she pressed on though it looked like she was about to fall with every step.

"S..Shun?" Her voice was quivering with fear, though if that was the fear of the state she would find her friend, the fear of heights, or both was hard to tell. "Shun are you here?" There were a few things on the roof but not much. Only a few places to hide and Shun wasn't in any of them. Mitsu continued to follow his scent until she reached the edge of the building where it dissipated into the wind. She tried not to look over but it was hard not to see how high up she was which caused her legs to finally give out on her sending her to the ground.

As soon as Blade made it to her Mitsu reached out for him clinging to his arm rather desperately. The fear was very evident in her eyes, apparently her bravery only went so far. "I-I-I'm s-s-scared of heights." She stammered out, her whole body trembling.

"I-I smelled h-him. H-he came up t-this way." She tried to stand again but her legs wouldn't let her. "I-I lost him. I d-don't know where he went." Looking up toward the thief it was easy to see the worry around the fear. "He's h-hurt. I don't know how b-bad but he's h-hurt."

Mitsu nodded though she seemed to have a death grip on whatever material she could get a hold of that happened to be on Blade's person. Her legs could barely function at this point and her vision was going in and out.

"I...I can't move." Or at least her legs refused to. She knew she needed to get down and try to find Shun. There was a very real possibility that he could still be close and if he was badly hurt she needed to find him quickly.....but she was so high. The very thought nearly made her sick to her stomach, her heart pounding fiercely behind her ribcage. That coupled with the fact that she was worn down from lack of sleep left her all but useless.

"H..how can I not think about how high we are?" She stuttered. "I-I thought he might be up here." She had hoped he would be, though she didn't want to find him hurt.

She drug her feet all the way back to the fire escape, only managing to stay upright by clinging to the thief. "A...above or below me?" She questions not processing what he meant at first. "I-I'm going to f-fall." As they got closer to the edge Mitsu experienced a sudden case of vertigo making her backup and away from the ledge.

When Blade headed toward the fire escape to start climbing down, Mitsu grabbed for the railing that led over the edge and clung to it like it was her life line. She knew she needed to get down, she couldn't search for Shun up here but her legs wouldn't obey what she was telling them to.

"B..Blade," She whined softly, her eyes already getting glassy with tears. Shun had found out the hard way that getting her down from someplace high wasn't the easiest of tasks. But she had to do this, she needed to find her friend. As Blade went down a little further Mitsu took her time crawling up on the ledge. It seemed to take her a while to position herself on the latter not wanting to really let go of her hold on the railing.

One step down, okay she was making progress. Two steps, well on her way now. Three steps and her nerve gave out and she clung to the latter for dear life refusing to move. Wrapping herself around the side railing Mitsu held on like her life depended on it. "Blade..." She whimpered, unable to force herself to move any further.

Mitsu shook her head defiantly. "I-I can't do it." She already felt like she was much higher than she actually was which wasn't helping at all. The feeling of vertigo coupled with her fear had her plastered to the railing like she was attached by superglue.
