Shamrock had slipped out of the Armbar, and now he was trying to get his arms around Matt's thighs?! Yes, he was thoroughly confused!

((Sorry I didn't explain well the "hooks" are when someone jumps on your back and slides their legs around you to keep a good grip like this))  If the back mount is successful, Shamrock will posture up and attempt to reign bombs onto the back and sides of the Punk's head!

Shanahan was clearly blind, as it was Shamrock's feet that were hooked around his thighs! The blows rained down onto the back of Matt's head, causing extreme pain! But it wasn't going to stop the big man from trying to get up to his feet, with Shamrock on his back!

As Shanahan stands to his feet using his strength, Shamrock is lifted still on the Punk's back. He changes his feet positioning to a figure four waistlock in an effort to get a better grip on the big man. From this position Shamrock does pretty much the only offense at his disposal as he attempts to lock in the standing rear naked choke!

The rear-naked choke was firmly locked in! Shanahan was losing oxygen quickly, and conciousness! He knew what he had to do in order to get Shamrock off his back, but was he awake enough to do it? We would see, as Shanahan attempted to run backwards towards the turnbuckles, hoping to ram Greg into them just hard enough to make him loosen up the hold!

The hold is locked on tight and Shamrock is sure the match is about to be over. Suddenly, the God of Punks backpedals and throws himself into the corner. Not expecting this sudden fall, Shamrock's head bounces hard off the turnbuckle and he loses his hold on Shanahan.

Matt was out of the hold, and needed to seriously regain some of that energy! He stepped away from Shamrock, and fell down to a knee, hoping to regain his composure.

Shamrock lies in the corner for a moment before using the ropes to pull himself to his feet, shaking out the cobwebs yet again. Seeing the big man kneeling, Shamrock smells blood and immediately steps forward, swinging for a Wanderlei-esque soccer kick to the head!

CRACK!
That was the sound that echoed through the arena, and Matt's thoughts, as the kick connected with his head! Shanahan fell over onto his side and turned to look up at the lights, seemingly out of it!

Shamrock holds his hands up in celebration, confident the referee will step in and declare him the winner before he snaps to reality and remembers that he's fighting under pro wrestling rules! After this delay Shamrock jumps on top of the Punk and goes for an awkward pin attempt.

The count was barely stopped, as Shanahan's arm flew up in the air to stop it just in time! The match wasn't over yet!

The pin attempt wasn't successful, but as long as the two were on the ground Shamrock figured he'd try to mount the Punk once again, feeling his chances against the big man were significantly better on the mat. If successful, Shamrock will attempt a series of insulting heavy slaps to the face.

One smacked connected! Two smacks now! But the plus side of it, they had woke Shanahan back up... And he was pissed! Determined to get Shamrock off his smacking-spree, The God of Punks attempted to send a godly punch to Shamrock's throat!

Shamrock is punched in the throat and falls back off of his opponent, clutching his throat and gagging.
