"Well I guess you could call it around here. Do you know the caves that are about 15 minutes east of here?" Jak looked over at her as they walked. He lived in a cave over there with his cousin Gabriel, which he was thinking about moving out because he cousin was always so grumpy anymore. Honestly the poor guy needed to find a mate to make him happy, but with his attitude who would take him?

Lizzie nodded. She had heard of those caves before. When she was little she had heard tails from other foxes about the caves. Most were not good. She had heard plenty of them being haunted. One day she had tried to go up there to see for herself but... she had gotten scared and ran off. So when he asked it wasn't much of a surprised when she looked at him shocked.
"You... you live there? How? Your not scared at all?"

Jak looked at her puzzled, "Scared of what?" He blinked at her confused, "It's just a cave." He then slowly smiled, "Ohhhh is it because it is dark and small. You're claustrophobic." He nodded his head, "Why didn't I get that sooner." He chuckled as he shook his head, "Naww it's really not all that bad Lizzie my dear. It keeps me nice and warm from the winter winds. Besides the hole is small enough that predators can't get in and eat me while I'm sleeping." He laughed.

"Uhhhh...." Lizzie looked up at him. "No... actually..." She smiled weakly. "I Uhh... Im not claustrophobic at all..." She chuckled. "you couldn't be farther from the truth..." She then frowned as she raised an eyebrow. "You mean... You... you don't know anything about that cave?" She stopped walking still unable to believe that he didn't know anything about that cave. "Its.... its said to be haunted... ive heard all kinds of stories from other foxes in the area...."

"Really?" Jak cocked his head to the side as he blinked. "I have lived in that cave for years and I have never heard anything like that." He shook his head, "Are you sure we're talking about the same cave?" He sat on the ground and scratched behind his ear as he looked at her questionably. Maybe Gabriel would know what the heck this vixen was talking about.

She nodded as she looked at him. "I... Im sure its the same cave..." Her ears wen't down as she thought about what some of the others foxes had said about the cave. "I was sure it was the same cave...." She sat down next to him. "Are you sure you haven't heard any of the stories?" She then told him a few of the rumors and stories.

Jak's eyes went wide as he listened to the stories, "You're sure that this is the cave that I live in? It isn't some other cave...far....far away from here?" His ears drooped down as he thought about having lived in a haunted cave all this time and not knowing about it. "Mm..." He frowned, "I'm sure it isn't haunted. I have lived there for years and have never seen anything to suggest otherwise."

Lizzie blinked as she looked at him. He seemed to be telling the truth. If he had lived there for years and nothing has happened to him... maybe the stories were made up. She glanced away as she took a few more moments to think about it. She then looked back up at him.
"Huh... How long have you been living here?" She tilted her head to the side. She wanted to see if it had anything to do with when the stories started. "All these stories started about... Well... lets see..." She looked over at a tree as she thought. "I think it was about (however many years Jak has lieved in the cave)."

He looked at her blankly. "I've lived there 5 years...How did you know that?" The tattooed male gulped and looked around, "Are you...a psychic?" He looked at her leery, "What am I thinking about now?" He closed his eyes and thought real hard about the apples that he had retrieved from the tree for her. If this vixen really was a psychic that would be kinda neat, but also kinda scary at the same time.

"Five years?" She nodded. "Huh..." She then shook her head. "No its nothing like that. I cant read anyones mind..." She looked up at him. "Its just... five years ago... is when all the stories started..." her eyebrow raised when he asked if she knew what he was thinking. A chuckle escaped her lips again. "I already told you... I cant read minds... but thats weird that you don't know anything about whats going on where you live..."

"Oh?" He looked at her, "Hm....five years ago?" He blinked and thought about it. It seemed like something his cousin would do to make sure that no one wandered into their caves. He sighed heavily as the more he thought about it the more it started to make sense. Damn his cousin. He was by far the dumbest fox he had ever met.
"I think I might have an idea what happened....My cousin is kinda....anti-social...." Jak nodded his head, "He might have made up those stories to...keep foxes away."

Lizzie nodded as a response to his question. "Yeah..." She thought about it. If the rumors started five years ago... and he moved in five years ago... She started to think she knew what was going on. When he side she was sure she knew the reason behind it. "Your cousin?" Yep... she was right. "I see..." She chuckled. "So it was just him starting the rumors." She sighed happily to find out the place wasn't really haunted.

Jak laughed, "I never said I knew that for sure...It is just a guess as to what is going on. FOr all I know it might very well be haunted." He shrugged his shoulders as he leaned down and bit into an apple, munching on it hungrily. "But in my honest opinion....I highly doubt it is true...I mean.....I don't even believe in ghost so..." He smiled at her.

"Oh..." She glanced around nervously. "Well... if it is haunted the ghost must be scared of you guys." She gave a small chuckle. "You don't?" She looked up at him. "Oh... well I guess you wouldn't if you've never seen one..." She nodded then leaned in and took a quick bite of the apple he was eating. "Hm... be careful... if you have food I may take some of it from you." She teased.

Jak chuckled, "So does this mean that if I invited you over you wouldn't accept?" He pouted slightly, "Cause if that is the case....then I would be deeply sad..." He gave her a pouty look that was irresistible to the ladies, at least that is what he hoped. Who knew if it would work.
"Hm....oh there are plenty of apples....so you can eat as many as you like."
