Awesome nerd  "I'm completely different." Damian sighed as a bright light enveloped him. When the light faded away, there was an equally tall man with dark brown hair and light brown eyes. "What do you think?" he asked with an unsure look on his face. He twinged a little and scratched his back, his wings aching. In this and his preferred form he still had his wings, but his wings were more noticeable in his angel form.{{{Wait, what do his wings look like?}}}

Damian blinked and blushed a little when Myka touched his cheek. "Yup, it's me all right." he said and rubbed the back of his head before taking a step back and spreading his arms out. "So whadaya think?" he asked with a smile.

Myka giggled at his blush. 'Why is he blushing? It's just me.' Her smile grew bigger as she looked him over, trying to find one flaw, but searching in vain. "Well, if you want my honest opinion, you're..." She ducked her head, her cheeks growing slightly red. "Well, you're beautiful. I always imagined angels were perfect but now that I've seen one up close, I don't know how else to describe you." Lifting her head once more, she brought a finger to her chin in mock thought. "I like it."

This time Damian's growing blush was one from flattery as he rubbed the back of his head again. "D'aww, go on!" he laughed then grimaced at the pain in his back. "Alright, alright." he grumbled under his breath and unfolded his wings. They were about seven feet long, five feet high, and the feathers were snow white except for the black tips.

Myka took a small step back as he extended his wings. "Oh my...those are your wings? They're amazing!" She studied them carefully, unused to seeing white wings. "My brother...his wings are like yours, but they're solid black. He never showed them to me though. Sebastian didn't want to scare me. But his wings, they aren't half as beautiful as yours." Myka stepped forward, standing close to Damian. As she tilted her head curiously, she became aware of how close she was to him. She cleared her throat and took a step back, her blush reappearing. "D-do-do all angels smell like rain?"

Damian felt his face flare up at how close she was. He could smell her breath. Minty... with a hint of chocolate. He tugged at his collar to let out some hot air when he heard her question. His expression hardened instantly and his wings folded, but they stayed out and bulged above his head. "No. Most angels smell like normal people, they smell like soap and occasionally you get that one BO person, but there's a few that smell like the area they were around when they died." he said, avoiding eye contact.

"Well then it must be raining." She gazed out a window and saw that her deduction had been correct. Myka smiled and stared at the falling drops of rain. "I knew it was sprinkling earlier." Turning back to him, Myka could still see traces of red on his cheeks. "Damian, how did you die?" she asked absentmindedly. "If you don't want to tell me, it's fine. But it'd be nice to know."

He looked up at her for a second then looked away again. "My sister and I were homeless, living on the streets when I was around ten." he started. "Because of my shapeshifting skills I would shift into gorgeous women and men and try to charm people into buying me food so I could get some for Lena. One day I went to go give her some food, but she was gone." He paused. "I ran after her, looking for places she could be. Then... Then I was ambushed by a small gang of demons and......" he drifted off and shuddered at the memory. It was so long ago, but the memory was still vivid. "It was raining then." he whispered.

"You mean you're like this because of demons?
I had no idea they were capable of something like that." Myka rubbed her arms. "That explains the smell of rain..." She bit her lip in thought, as if having a mental battle. Suddenly, her mind was made up. Myka stepped closer to Damian and threw her arms around his middle, hugging him tightly. "No one should go through that, especially someone like you."

He closed his eyes to try to blot out the memories, but they were rushing past his eyes like a horrible movie. Next thing he knew, he was ambushed again, only in a hug. He opened his eyes, obviously startled, and took half a step back until he realized it was just Myka. He stared dumbfounded at her for a while then pat her back. "Hey it's fine. I've come to terms with it a long time ago." he smiled. "I just wish I could've done the same for Lena." he said so quietly that even he didn't hear it.

Myka loosened her grip and stepped away slightly, her arms falling to her sides. "What happened to her?" she whispered, her eyes boring into his. By now she was semi-used to how perfect he looked, but his eyes still took her by surprise. They were the most beautiful things she'd ever seen. He made her feel clumsy and unpretty around him, even in his other form, but she stood her ground, intent on understanding this strange young man before her.

 "The guy that ordered the demons around wanted to turn her into a demon, too." Damian mumbled while changing back to normal, half surprised that Myka heard what he said. "That man, he's frighteningly strong, and he really did turn her into a demon. He used her like a puppet to kill me, all against her free will." he spoke softly while rubbing an area on his chest, the area that held the scars from his death blows.((gtg, but I'll be back on in about an hour or two))

Myka gasped as he changed back to normal, not expecting it. 'It's disconcerting how perfect he looks, even in this form.' she thought, turning slightly red. "I had no idea demons were that bad." Myka noticed he was rubbing his chest absently. She placed a small hand on his shoulder to catch his eyes and smiled weakly, letting her hand slide back to her side. "I'm sorry. You don't deserve what happened to you. No one does." Myka brushed her hair away from her eyes, huffing and ignoring it when it landed back in her face. "And don't say it doesn't bother you anymore because it obviously does." Folding her arms behind her back, she stared into his eyes again, trying to memorize every little detail, every fleck of white and silver. "How old are you really?"
