It was understandable that it had dried up, but Rush had seemed to want to help and she couldn’t give away the location of the second store house. The one she had mentioned had been a gamble and wasn’t widely used. Perhaps later she would double check on all the other supplies in the cave, it wouldn’t due for them to be dried out as well. “well its cold enough the rabbit should keep for a while longer, I just hope this rain doesn’t turn into snow. We’re far enough up the mountain that it could very well be a possibility.

“Oh that’s fine. I am only really allowed to give away one store room. I had hoped it had been checked recently but looks like that hadn’t been the case. If I could give out the second room I would. I didn’t want you to have to get caught in the rain.” Aloli answered with a sweet smile. She looked down on the herb and slowly started chewing it. It worked best as a past but unfortunately Aloli was a carnivore and didn’t really have plant crushing teeth so it would take a while. “you know as a kid you where sad that only family was around to play with but you know family your own age isn’t so bad. Growing up I had lots of family but even my nephews where all grown up with mates of their own.” She admitted.

"My family was...complicated." Rush looked to the side, letting out a thick and annoyed sigh. Ah, his family. It always came back to that.

"My mother loves me, but, I've heard stories about how I look like my father. She seems pained sometimes when she looks upon me." He stopped, looking over at Aloli. "My twin brothers love to pick on me, if only because I am not part of their little world." He shrugged, looking to the side. "Hermes was rather kind to me... actually... most of my cousins were. Unia's children were around when I was a kit, but we lived far apart." He turned to her, smiling softly.

"Then there was you." He smiled at his best friend, laughing softly. "As cheesy as that sounds."

“Ah I am sorry for bringing that question up then. I definitely know the word complicated. It’s not in your sense where the dad just left. I told you earlier that I had a big family. Well Mom was victim of a crack breeding and had three kids before my set of siblings. My eldest sister Farah was raised by her dad since mom had to disappear for some odd reason. So when they re met up Farah had some problems with mom. There where some problems with my birth as well Mostly because I have my mom’s pattern and eye color and ended up with my dad’s coloring.

However I don’t see why she gets that weird look when ever she looks at me. I am me and not my mom. So I guess I bored you with this story to say. You don’t have to worry about looking like your dad. Even if I met him and got to know him tomorrow I promise I will always look at you as Rush and not your father. I think it’s unfair to compare children to their parents. Maybe I am just being” Aloli trailed off and shook her head. “anyways Aloli was glad that she was able to be there for you if just for a short bit”

Rush smiled softly, nodding at Aloli. A crack-breeding? Really? He smirked at her still, tail wagging. "I wonder if I ever...possibly... had a mate, would they care if I had a crack breeding?" He stopped, realizing this was an idiotic thought. A mate? Him? No. Never. Never him. This thought made him recoil slightly, ears flicking as the normally calm male seemed to falter into himself.

"I'm sure you'd like my mom, then." He mused. His mom had a situation where she had kids and really wasn't ready for them. He wondered absently what it would be like, bringing Aloli....home. He growled mentally, shaking the thought out of his head. She deserved better than him.

Pretty much like her father Aloli took things that where said to her way too seriously and began earnestly thinking about it. Aloli tilted her head to the side before starting to speak up. “I suppose it all depends on the mate and whether or not you are truly in love with them. I don’t know in your situation but I think I would be okay with it. Perhaps it was because I couldn’t have children of my own and they wanted children or if they showed true remorse for it or if it was just a silly trick by the modeities. Don’t get me wrong. I wouldn’t be happy with it no and if it happened constantly Aloli would leave. Well after giving them a piece of my mind.” She was pretty calm while talking although it was still a bit sad to think of Rush with some one else.

“Hmmm depends. Aloli is very picky when it comes to liking people” She teased before looking back at her ankle. A slight experimental twist with to said Ankle showed it was getting better. “ I feel sorry for when my brothers bring home siblings. Actually she felt sorry for her own mate when she introduced them to the family.

He nodded at the vixen, listening carefully. Despite the way she spoke and how sweet she was, she always made him stop to think, pondering on her words. She was a clever vixen, and he respected that. Loyal and sweet, but not easy to manipulate. Even if someone did try and hurt her, he'd protect her. She was his best friend, he would never let her get hurt.

Then he heard a low growl.

"Aloli, did you hear that?" His eyes flicked to the front of the cave, moving in-front of Aloli, tail curling slightly. His teeth were bared, ears flicked backwards slightly. Who was there? A modifox...or a beast? Would his recent thoughts be put to the test for this grape vixen?

Aloli smiled sweetly as he nodded and looked around the cave. It was weird talking about family and it kind of made her miss hers a bit. She had been gone this long before with out seeing them but that was with the knowledge they would be back the next day. She briefly wondered what her brothers were doing. Mostly Aeolos since she wasn’t too close with the others. However she couldn’t be bothering them for the rest of her life and she had wanted to go and meet Rush.

She had heard the growl, and had jumped up on her feet. She didn’t know what it was but it couldn’t be anything good. Growls meant something hostile and hostile meant something bad. It might be able to reasoned with but if it was another animal. She looked over at Rush and shook her head with a smile. Boys and protecting foxes they thought special. She stepped up next to him and smiled. “Don’t worry rush just concentrate on the thing in front of us. I’ll be able to take care of my self” she nodded knowing it probably wouldn’t make any difference but it needed to be said and she felt better

The growl had Rush move in-front of Aloli despite her mentioning being able to care for herself. Boys were known for being downright idiots when it came to women and the women they cared about. He turned his head to eye Aloli, giving her a look that clearly said he would try and take care of her, the best he could. The creature that had growled repeated the action. Rush moved in-front of the cave, deciding that if he let the creature into the small room he'd risk it attacking Aloli.

He didn't expect a bob-cat to slink around the corner, their face's nearly bumping into one another. The cat took only two seconds to stare at Rush, his paw whipping out to clock Rush in the side of the head. Rush dodged, luckily, and let out a loud snarl, tackling the creature to the ground.

Oh why did boys have to be so incredibly macho and save the day? Aloli was a very tough girl. She had to grow up with three brothers and although Eshkol and Sindre hardly spend time with her Aelos was the epitome of young boy. As he was the only kit around Aloli had grown up being just as tough as the boys. She watched as Rush made a move towards the bobcat obviously trying to keep him out of the room and possibly keep the cat from getting close to her. She watched as he pinned the cat and made a mental note to show him after this was all done that she was hardly a damsel in distress.

Aloli watched as Rush tackled the cat to the ground and the cat some how managing to turn it into a struggling roll that landed with the cat on top. As it went for the killing lunge towards Rush’s throat it was suddenly hit in the side of the head by a rock. As the cat turned back towards Aloli, she let out a low growl her muzzle pushed back to reveal her canines. Sure Rush could be all manly but she was hardly going to let him die while she sat on the side lines. She really didn’t want to kill the cat and she was hoping that she could scare him off. Mountain lions were very easy to scare off here was hoping that bobcats where the same.

Rush let out a low snarl as the creature stopped Aloli after the rock hit it, and instead of running leapt after her. The white and black male pounced onto the cat, sending it rolling with him along with it. The creature lashed out, gouging Rush's back leg deeply, flailing when Rush bit the creature in the neck. The bob-cat let out a yowl, moving to both tackle and harm the male, who barely managed to dodge due to his leg.

The two circled one another, Rush limping and the cat hunkered to the ground. Rush waited for the cat to be facing the exit, leaping at the cat and striking out at it's face. He felt a give, hearing the cat let out a panicked yowl and leap away, its eye dripping blood. The cat darted out of the cave, accompanied by cries of pain and terror.

Aloli ran over as soon as the bobcat had disappeared and checked on Rush’s injuries. “Silly boy should have let Aloli help out more” she muttered underneath her breath. She was still a little shaky a mixture of nerves and anger that Rush had gotten hurt. Suddenly she wished she knew more about healing like her mother. However she didn’t but she could help stop the blood flow and get it patched up long enough for Rush to get actual shaman help. “Stay right there Aloli will be back” she ordered disappearing further into the back of the cave.
Opening the entrance to the other herb storage hole she pulled out the necessary herbs mean while shaking her head. Ugh why had today gone so bad, they had got caught in a storm, Aloli had slightly injured her ankle and Rush was now hurt from a bobcat attack. It was supposed to be a happy day. She had gotten to see rush. However this was not something that needed further thought at the moment. Right now she needed to help Rush.

Rush shook his head, barely standing. He leaned against the cave wall, bleary eyed. "I wanted to protect you." He whispered, smiling up at Aloli. "You are my best friend, I didn't want anything to happen to you." He was honest, one had to give him credit for that. He glanced at her ankle, frowning softly. "Is it better, Aloli?" He winced as he attempted to stand, limping to the front of the cave.

He needed to go home, to see Nato. But, he didn't want to leave Aloli, no, he didn't want her to be alone. He smiled warmly at her, wincing once more. He didn't want her to go home, either. He didn't know where her home even was.

That's when he collapsed, eyes shut and chest heaving slightly. He had blacked out cold, tail limp at his side.

((Wanna time-skip to Aloli waiting at Lunarie Border to know if he is okay?))

(lol we can)

Alol paced around, so what if she wasn’t actually part of the lunarie tribe, she had been the one that had dragged Rush all the way back to make sure that he had medical attention. Alright, so her brother Aeolos would have strangely enough been near by had helped but that was hardly beside the point. They had to know who she was and it was only good hospitality to let her in on his condition. It was rude, totally rude and she was getting awfully pissed off.

She let out a low growl in her throat, they better had a very good reason on why rush’s condition was left in the dark. The rudeness she was being shown was ridiculous. The twig she had began to chew on was nearly in shreds. If she thought she could get away with it she would sneak in and go and see him herself. In fact considering a tribe never really thought of one lone fox if she spend a few days studying everyone’s routine she could probably get away with it… and one should never get in the way of a grape maiden and what she wanted.

User Image Now, what Aloli didn't know was that no one knew she was waiting for Rush, except the twins. She had arrived a few days ago, struggling to carry their brother. Oh, their annoyingly strong and kind brother. The twins had been amused to see he even had a girl. Well, she looked like his best friend as a kit, and by the looks of it they weren't even mates yet, so techinally she wasn't his girl. Even so, the twins had been happening to be nearby when they spotted her and a bleeding Rush, both stealing their brother and taking him home with the story that they had found him by the border.

So, no one knew about her. Nuishan did, but, she was busy trying to care for Rush. Ari? Nato? Thea? Anjafey? Any of them? Nope, the twins had kept it under wraps. It was because they didn't like Aloli. She wasn't good enough for their brother! Yes, he was a pain, but they loved him~ And she was not good enough!

"Hey, she's still there." Hikaru and Kaoru were returning to see if the girl was still there, and shockingly she was. Kaoru grinned, shaking his head and approaching her, eyes narrowing teasingly. "Whatcha doing here?"

User Image Hikaru moved beside Kaoru, the twins moved at the same time, synced with one another. Hikaru moved closer to the vixen, slipping around her and cooing in her ear. Yes, they were bad, but the twins had yet to mature completely.

"Give it up, you can't see him."

Aloli glared at the twins not letting anything they said bother her. Most of her aggression was placed on them as they had been the ones saying that she couldn’t go and see Rush. When they tried cooing in her ear she growled at them showing her canines. “The same thing I’ve been doing for a while. Don’t think you can get rid of me I will not go until I see that stupid butt is okay.” She stated sternly and other than that one cooing attempt refused to let anything but the fact she still couldn’t check up on rush bother her. After all what was so hard about letting one little female barely fully grown into tribe territory, as it was a tribe it probably had a tribe guardian to protect it and several foxes to attack her if she even tried to harm them.
After all, when she thought about it the twins weren’t any worse than her youngest brother. “Didn’t you hear me the first time” Aloli stated. “I am not going anywhere, and I especially don’t want to here I can’t see him from the two brothers that left him by himself as a little kit so that he had to go and play with a kit that lived ridiculously far away.” She stated. Ugh if this ever happened again then she would just join the tribe and see how they tried to stop her that way. She was a fox on a mission and two twins were not going to deter her in the least.
