Sin grasped Rosc's hand tightly and moved the three of them closer, she wanted them both close. She watched Rosc fearfully, he had almost been taken from her. "Are you alright?" She looked him over and then forced a small smile. "Yes...I was worried about you..." She relaxed a bit now though, she had them both back with her. If only they could find Viveca, but perhaps on the way.
She looked back at Alcie and slowly loosened her grip on her hand, she didn't want to seem overly paranoid. "We should stick together...Rosc and I were heading towards a Town marked on the map we saw. Hopefully there will be shelter...food? Answers? I don't know we have to try and get somewhere. Come with us Alcie?" She really didn't want to leave her friend now, but Rosc didn't seem to be in very good shape. She had to get him somewhere they could rest. She looked around the fog confusing her for a bit before she faced north...she thought. "I think the path will be that way..."

Rosc nodded politely to Alcie, his usual greeting or acknowledgment. "I'll survive," he replied back to Sin, saying to hell with issues on public displays of affection as he brought her hand up to rest his cheek against the back for a moment before letting it fall again. After all that, it was nice to feel her hand in his again. Both ghouls seemed alright, which made him feel a little bit better. He wouldn't wish these attackers one anyone (Weeeeeell, that wasn't entirely true, there were one or two), especially not Sin or her friends... Or Alwine, really, she'd seemed nice enough. Sort of oblivious.
He nodded. "At least the town will have more scattered cover. Pity the fool who thought the cornfield was a good idea..." It was his sort of agreement to the plan.
As an afterthought, he removed the pendant from his pocket, showing it to the ghouls, wondering if it might be the one Sin had mentioned at one point in their eee!-mails. "I found this, after the fight..."

Viveca didn't know where the Jack she was. She didn't know much else either, come to that. She knew her head hurt. She knew she had a knapsack and an old baseball bat (this concerned her a tad...). She knew....nope, nope. That was all she knew.
Oh. And she was lost as hell. Yup. Definitely lost.
The knapsack was over her shoulder, with the bat clutched in one hand, resting on her other shoulder. If they had given her a 'weapon', it seemed reasonable (after the lovely boat ride) to assume she might need it, so she thought it'd be best to keep it as close to 'at the ready' as she could.
The demon ghoul thought she heard something. To her scared and confused mind, it sounded like her name. Faaantastic, now she was hearing things. She pressed her lips together, trying to keep quiet as she wandered through the woods.
While she kept as quiet as she could, she was still about as graceful as her horse form, and was snapping twigs underfoot, flinging back branches in the way and rustling leaves.

She couldn't help but flash Rosc a quick smile and stroked his cheek, odd that something so simple could make her smile in the face of this crazy place. Still it did and she wouldn't question the feelings right now, there wasn't time to speculate. She blinked as Rosc showed them the pendent and let go of Alcie's hand for a second to fish her own out from under her dress letting it drop on it's long chain. She always wore it under her clothes ever since Arel had told them it would protect them...she had a strong urge to call him a liar.
"That looks exactly like mine and Alcie's we got them from Arel after the battle of the bands...he told us they would protect us...but from what? If it is protection it's really crappy..." She muttered and looked at Alcie wondering if her friend remembered anymore.
The battle of bands seemed so trivial and long ago, but strange things had happened on campus ever since...she froze then and lifted her head. "Did you hear that?" It sounded like someone, or something moving towards them.
"Viveca?" She whispered softly afraid it wouldn't be their friend at all but some new foe. Then she quickly grabbed Alcie's hand again and looked between her and Rosc. "We better keep going, off this foggy beach maybe it won't be so bad on the path..." Talk about wishful thinking.

After Sin confirmed that the pendant he had found resembled the one she wore around her neck, Rosc slipped his back into his pocket with a small nod. One could never be too careful of traps, after all.
He looked off at the sound of another voice, in the direction of what might have been another figure in the fog. "It sounded like her," he replied at a volume that carried slightly, remembering the other ghoul's voice from the auditorium. He slipped his arm through Sin's as she took Alcie's hand. It was awkward with the kit and him having to lean on his tree branch for support, but he didn't want to get separated from the ghouls.

Alcyone stared at the pendant for a second and then realized that it was the same pendant that she and Sin had! "Oh wow. Sin and I have that pendant. It's strange that it's showed up on this island..." The pendants were mysterious without them having to question what their purposes were. "They're supposed to do something but it really hasn't helped us." Muttering under her breath, Alcie obviously was a little bitter about the fact that the pendants really were useless up until this point.
Pausing, Alcie heard a voice in the distance and it didn't occur to her that it was somebody they knew until Sin mentioned Vivi's name. Her hearing was really poor... "Vivi?!" Raising her voice, Alcie had hoped that they would run into her eventually but there were a lot of students lost in the fog... Her hopes weren't too high. Following Sin, Alcie looked around trying to identify the voice.
