i hafta agree that Sailor Moon is probably not going to connect with viewers on TV now. maybe if the animation was completely redone. but its obviously aged. kids are dumb, but even they can tell that a show their watching is older and lose interest with it because of that.

plus I think its clear from looking at AS that most of the intended audience for that is teenagers who are too high to go to bed so they need something like Family Guy or Superjail to watch and laugh at then pass out
(no offense meant by that if you enjoy those show, but the sense of humor in most of AS's lineup is VERY different from the content in Sailor Moon)

and American shows for girls aren't even on TV anymore, what makes you think TV producers are going to give that chance to an old japanese cartoon that wasn't as successful with TV ratings in its last aired season (hello SuperS season)
If you've been following the television industry recently, then you'll know that no one is taking chances and just playing it safe with things they know will be successful in terms of TV syndication. thanks economy!

if it was to be re-dubbed, it would probably go on the Funimation channel and some "Anime on Demand" pay-per view type of thing. Maybe Boomerang if you want a more "mainstream" station.

now I love Sailor Moon like the rest of you, lord knows, but I'm almost 22. several of the users here are in their late teens and 20s, as far as I know, most of the hardcore sailor moon fans in the world are in the same 18-30 age range.
most of those old timers do not spend their time watching Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon all day (i'll watch it sometimes, but not nearly as much as I did when i was a kid). we have jobs, then spend the money from said jobs on DVDs and other products. and DVD producers like Funimation know this. so its exactly where SM would be sent to 1st. if its a success then maybe syndication will be possible.

The manga is returning? biggrin This is wonderful! biggrin I have the Japanese version, and would love to see it published right-to-left in English. I have also been wanting to get the Sailor V manga.
