Chibizoo
"Are you lonely?"

If nothing else, traveling by his lonesome on the desolate path meant no one would hear the boy's high-pitched yelp of surprise, frozen in place with his third-hand clamped over his mouth, bug eyed and just staring in borderline stupefaction. That thing... that thing was him, but at the same time, it couldn't be. It was too misty, too gray, and... no no no! He couldn't listen to it! Better logic was already screaming alarm bells to get running, to ABORT MISSION, and yet...

He didn't move.

Instead, he only gaped at that outstretched hand.

"I..." Finally a word in response, and a strangled one, looking up into his-- no, its eyes. Finally, defensiveness seemed to kick in as he bristled, putting on his best (... though sadly transparent) front of insult. "I-I don't need them! Th-- ... They're just less of a pain than this jackdamn pit!"

... But if he was that resolved, why'd he look back down at that hand again? When he did, the nervous anger seemed to defeat itself, and he stilled, mumbling much, much more quietly, uncertainly. "... You. You're a trick. This has to be a trick..."

Had he been paying attention to the turtle on his knapsack, he might have noticed its fin-flapping and anxious agreement to that statement.

"No, I don't believe we have met," Raziel replied to the larger boil who had just knelt down so they were closer to the same height. "I'm Raziel, who are you?" Raziel didn't exactly like the idea of the other boil kneeling to talk to him, but it was really the only way to have a halfway decent and audible conversation. He tried his best not to think over it too much, as the other boil didn't know him ad how much he disliked that.

With only a few words and no real decisions made, Mei had run off to begin exploring, and very quickly got attacked by one of the cloaked figures. It didn't appear to be the same one as before, so Raziel began to wonder how many of them were there. The battle was somewhat long, with Mei missing her mark on the figure many times, but when it was over she rejoined the group, and the taller boil offered the idea of exploring in pairs.

Raziel liked this idea because then nobody would be alone, and they could all help one another. It wasn't good to be alone in an unknown place, no matter how "abandoned" it appeared. After listening to the other ghoul talk, who had not been introduced to Raziel, he decided that he would rather not be paired with her for exploring, he didn't forsee them getting along too well.

"I like the idea of splitting into pairs, then nobody is left alone," he put in, then after a moment of thought, "So, who wants to pair with who? And do we want to decide on a certain amount of time before meeting back here?"

Eyes met the banshee as she gave her a mock compliment. Not only was she tired, and ached from the battle, but she was in absolutely no mood for jokes or sarcasm. "'Scuse me for not being born a natural fighter." Mei was definitely no fighter, if anything, she was more of a healer. She hadn't even had the chance to take any offense lessons yet, so of course she was not prepared to go up against other who clearly were of much more skill than she. With that, she turned away from the ghoul, refraining from snapping as she had in the battle---if you could have called it that..

Nodding her head at Bul's concern, she looked off to the side, more than a little disappointed with herself for doing so badly in her fight. "Yeah.. I don't even think I left a scratch on it.. They just decided to leave, so.. I dunno. The only perk was this," Holding up the pendant that hung around her neck for the others to view, she soon dropped it again, disgusted when realizing who it originally belonged to. Damn.. Like she wanted anything that belonged to that b*****d.. Rather than discarding it, she kept it for the mean time. Who knows? It might become of some use?

Hearing the suggestion of splitting up into groups, Mei gave a small nod in response. "Fine by me." Without warning, Mei grabbed hold of the Snot monster's hand and began to lead him away in the direction she found most interesting. Of course, she could have just asked him if he wanted to pair, but of course she didn't give him such a chance. Once away from the others, she slowed her pace some and released her grip on him. "Sorry, your the only person I know out of them, hope that's okay. Besides, I haven't had the chance to chat with you since the Scarentine thing."

Bul knew not to talk down to a student smaller than him- especially a fellow monster for sure- seeing as monsters could always shift into some lethal form that Bul couldn't. "Unstabul, but I pretty much just go by Bul- It's nice to meet ya Raziel," he said. After making his circle in the dirt, Bul tapped his foot to the ground in thought. Before he could really volunteer anyone to go with him, Mei had grabbed a hold of him and started walking away. Well that was easy..?

"Guys we should meet back here in.. uh... I dunno let's say a few hours. How about 3?" ((Idk when this would actually be so I figure when everyone starts heading back ICly they can pretend it was three hours?? xDDD)) he said then paused for a moment. "Oh and if you find something important or need any help you should shout
SHIBIDDY YAY HA and we'll come running."

When the two had departed fully from the others Bul sighed. "It's alright," he began and smiled. "Yeah I know I should'a contacted you but then I got stuck with music homework. Well... music homework and then got sidetracked but.." he chuckled. "My biggest concern is how you're doing. We're awfully far from camp so.." Little did Bul know that it wouldn't matter how close they were to camp seeing as the place had been attacked while they dispersed.

Colette made her way up the winding road alone, the sight of the abandoned and tattered weapons depressing. It only made her miss her own. Her weapons were far more useful than the two wooden swords she carried with her now, but for whatever reason she couldn't summon them! And the silence, it was unsettling and only reminded her of a certain lane she'd traveled before. Colette couldn't stop thinking about Barth either. He had said his knee was bothering him, was he really okay? She had left him unattended for just moments on the last field trip, surrounded by other students even, but he still suffered something that made him and many others disappear before being whisked back to Halloween Town.

In such worry, the town she finally approached was a nice relief, or more so the several students she saw not too far in. One she even knew! The abandoned town meant possible supplies and food she could collect for use in this terrible trek -- not to mention the signal thing she was supposed to be looking for, -- but a friend gave a sense of security. She had even been through the worst part of the last field trip with him!

"Raziel!" Colette called as she waved and hurried over to him. "How are you doing?" She hadn't seen him since before the boat crashed, but he looked alright for what had happened. It was a relief.

Holly eyed the path. Such a great way to start off the creepy island? Yep. Scarecrows and weapons all along the path? If she'd not been a creature of halloween she would have found it right down scary. The ghoul hoped that her two friends, er one friend and Savior who she'd met but would consider a friend later, were behind her. Of course with the other ghoul literally riding on West's shoulders she'd come too. What an awesome group, she was glad to not be alone on this adventure.

Seemed a few other's took this way too. She didn't want to go to where all the other students were going since it would have been down right boring.

The ghoul kept up the path, almost to the top but keeping slow to let her smaller group catch up.

Creepy.

Holly knew she shouldn't have wandered up ahead by herself. The hooded figure had hit her with it's giant axe. She grabbed her wooden toy sword from her bag and noticed it was slightly blue glowing like her ghost fox form. Sweet. "What are you a gnome?" The ghoul swung back at the hooded figure.

Hand instantly covering her mouth at the words he just spoke, she muffled a snicker. She found it difficult to picture either Sarias or Raziel shouting those words---even if it meant their life. In any case, she hoped they wouldn't run into any more problem from here on out. Her FEAR was hardly effective, leaving her with little or no healing abilities for the time being. Maybe her HP Doll had a flaw? She would have to take it up with her father when she had the chance again.

"Naw, its fine." Gesturing a dismissive wave, a shrug soon followed. "School keeps everyone busy---especially this school apparently." It hadn't been more than a couple of months since their last huge field trip before they were all forced to take part in this one, but somehow, Mei actually missed the JOY filled hinterlands when comparing it to this trip.

"Hm?" Giving the boil a blank stare for a moment, she quickly waved her hands when having finally regained her mind. "Eh--er, no. I'm fine. Just a little stunned is all." Dropping her hands to either side, she was curious as to just how far they were from the main camp. "Hmmm," Pulling out her map, she looked over it once again before shoving it back into her bag. "Yeah, we are aren't we." Not that it really mattered. This island was crawling with cloaked reapers. "Not like there's much we can do about it now." Observing were they stood, she glanced about the town for anything that gave off any signs of interest. "Wanna go that way?" She asked, wondering if he had already chosen a route to take.

(( Sure. xD ))

Did she really just insult its height? Now that was just mean! All it did was grab her, pull her away from anyone who could save her, and attack her with a giant axe. There was no need for such mud slinging, insulting its height. If what she wanted to do was make it attack her again, then she succeed. Without a word, swinging forward with their weapon, the figure attacked Holly again.

Shesh. The ghoul mumbled to herself. "Not one for conversation.." She wasn't either and why was she talking to herself now? This place was surely making the ghoul crazy obviously. Seemed her group was no help since they were not here anyway. Holly took up her toy sword again and swung back.

Even if the hooded figure was one for conversation after the horrible conversation Holly had made towards it, it certainly didn't want to do anything other than chop her up with its giant axe at the moment. So, happily, it did so, swinging forward rather quickly and efficiently with its axe. Not enough damage, none, in fact. How saddening.

Sarias took no heed of Mei's retort, if anything she huffed hard through her mouth at the statement. Everyone was born a fighter, if your life was on the line you fought, you fought with all your might. Maybe it was because she was dead, she had nothing to loose so much so that she went into every fight guns blazing, if this existence was to end it would be on her terms, no one else’s.

The suggestion Bul made had her nodding in agreement and she was more than a little satisfied with the look of dismay on the monsters Raziel face as Mei and Bul took themselves off.

"Looks like you coming with me shorty, don’t hold me back or you'll have much more to worry about than some hooded freaks.” She decided to ignore Bul's last words of advice, his code for help, and it was true, she would rather be an un-dead than shout out those words. She twisted on her heels preparing to bellow to the student to follow when another showed up, one she had never met before.

"He is fine ghoul, we have no time for pleasantries, we need to get moving so either sit here talking to yourself or make yourself useful and come along."
PostPosted: Sun Mar 20, 2011 2:39 pm

Raziel just kind of stared after Bul, blankly nodding at his instructions for injury and help and everything. Shibbidy Yay Ha? What was that even supposed to mean? His face scrunched into a sort of contorted confusion for a moment before he snapped back to wondering how to attempt to get along with the sarcastic ghost he though he was stuck with now.

At the sound of his name, Raziel turned around to see a familiar face. It was Colette! She had chosen the same path as he had, and although they didn't know each other terribly well, he would take Colette as an exploration partner for sure. He waved back to her as she came over, a content smile spread across his face. Ignoring Sarias' rude remarks, Raziel replied to Colette, "I'm doing alright, given the circumstances," he replied cynically, although honestly. "How has this retched island been treating you?" He asked, remembering that he had not since her since sometime on the boat. She must have faired alright in the crash to be here now, right?

"Uhh, there's a few of us here, and we made the decision to split up and explore the town for supplies and maybe a reason why the town is deserted. Want to be my partner?" He hoped she would say yes, because, well, she was his only option. He looked around for a moment, and chose a direction that Bul and Mei had not taken, one almost in a complete opposite direction. "We can go that way, it looks like there might have been a store over there," with that, Raziel began to start off in that direction.

Sometime later it seemed the sand and thick fog of the beach had given way to something of a path. He didn't where it would lead them, but having something to follow was infinitely preferable to wandering around blindly. Visibility seemed to be improving as well, and that in and of itself was a major plus in the ghost's book. He'd never before had his ability to see to terribly compromised, and he was likely not to take it for granted again any time soon.

With Junko still hugging his arm, he carefully picked his way along the path. Avoiding what potholes and cracks her could. Where ever they were heading, he had to wonder if it was going to be just as run down and shabby as the road leading too it. It was in a sorry state, and after seeing Yaya's ankle Seiji really wanted to avoid any injuries that could easily be avoided by simply watching where he was walking.

"Roads in pretty bad shape, be careful where you're walking, guys." Surely they had noticed this already, but just in case. He did take frequent glances at the smaller two of their group, ready to reach out and catch them should they stumble.
