“Yep, it’s a rule to not actually go out at night, but it’s a sort of lax rule if you are prepared and careful enough.” Horus stated and followed her silently. They didn’t actually say anything the whole journey but that was fine with Horus some times you didn’t exactly have to fill the air with chatter. This way it gave him time to think about the situation and other silly things that popped up into his head like why foxes made fun of glows, it wasn’t like she had two heads, maybe it was the whole being friends with a perma, you tended to look beyond silly things like foxes glowing and whether it was natural or not.
“That’s fine with me, it doesn’t matter the look or size of the shelter really as long as it gets the job done of protecting one’s self from the elements.” Horus replied

"It's a rule I always follow." Xinder muttered to herself. After all, her glow was much more visible during the night time. Holding the branches was getting just a little tiring and she grinned at Horus. "Are you gonna head in or should I just hold these all night?" she joked.
Suddenly she froze at her own daring; joking and teasing wasn't her style. What if he didn't like it? What if he...? Growling at her insecurities to shut the hell up for the night and give the guy a chance already, Xinder unlocked her muscles and smiled again, though it was a little strained the second time around.

“Well it’s a good rule to follow, especially when traveling by your self” Horus nodded and then smiled a bit embarrassed. Now that wasn’t very thoughtful of him. Horus normally prided himself on his manners and here he was having her hold the door open. “Ah yes sorry about that,” he pointed out and crawled in.
It was roomy enough for the two of them not to be worried about being in each others space too much and with a pang he realized it would have perhaps been on the more cramped side if this encounter had occurred a couple weeks in the future from now. He would have to get used to being phim sized wouldn’t he? It was the thinking about the changes to come that he missed commenting on xinder’s slightly strained smile. “is everything okay?” he finally stated drawing out of his own slightly depressing thoughts.

"Yes." Xinder said, probably with more force and determination than the small word needed. Softening her tone, she stepped into the cave after Horus. "Yes, I'm fine. And you? Not too cramped, are you?" She asked, curling into a ball on part of the free space. The cave wasn't dark...never would be dark as long as she was in it, but the glow was soft, not bright and invasive.

“Ah I see” Horus replied. He had a feeling it was one of those answers that you where convincing your self you where fine. However after just knowing Xinder a few hours he was not going to pry. Then it softened and seemed a bit more natural so he dropped the tone and looked around. “its fine I have plenty of room. We might have been in trouble if I was a phim but as that’s not the case no need to worry,” he lightly joked.

Xinder laughed softly. "That's true. If you were a Phim or a Deava, there'd be little room for you and no room for me." Xinder smiled. Most Phims had been nice to her. Having wings, she figured they barely blinked at glowing foxes. Deavas she'd never encountered.
"I wonder what it would be like to be so big." She mused to herself.

“Well from what I’ve heard from phims, it’s a bit hard at times being larger yet they’re able to take down bigger prey easier and since they where born bigger they’re quite aware and used to their size” Horus answered, then the thought occurred to him he wouldn’t have that background history. Would he stumble around and trip and make a fool out of himself?

Bringing down bigger prey sounded nice, but Xinder thought she liked her size just as it was. She didn't think she'd like being a phim and glowing. On the other hand... "They get to fly too. Still, if either of us were that big, we wouldn't be able to sleep, so I suppose that's a good thing." Xinder yawned and closed her eyes.

“Yes well if you really want to go flying you just befriend one of them. They like to take others flying all the time or at least the few phims I know like to. Horus noticed she seemed to be rather sleepy and decided sleep wasn’t so bad. “Good night then” he replied with a slight yawn before deciding to get some sleep himself. After thinking about everything that happened today he finally felt himself drifting off

Xinder woke up to the odd sensation of feeling warm and safe. Well, being warm was normal enough, but safe...that was odd. Enjoying the feeling, she snuggled further into the warm, furry pillow she was curled up against.
Suddenly, Xinder blinked awake with a frown on her face. Pillow? What pillow? Lifting her head, she turned to look over her shoulder and spotted Horus right there. She was sleeping on him. Xinder completely froze, wondering if she should scramble off or stay where she was and not wake him.

Horus awoke and noticed he wasn’t where he normally slept in the abandoned human temple. He blinked wondering where he was before he remembered taking Xinder’s suggestion of sharing a shelter. Ah yes that was right, they where in that little shelter Xinder had found. Since it was extremely rare he had any time to sleep in he wondered slightly if he should just fall back to sleep. Belatedly he noticed xinder was closer than she was last night. “mmm good morning.” He stated noticing she seemed to be awake. He closed his eyes in a silent yawn.

Xinder's "Good morning," came out as a whisper due to how very unprepared for the situation she was. She couldn't figure out what to do. So she slowly eased herself away from Horus and smiled cheerily. "Ah...sorry for rolling over on you. Shall we get some breakfast?"

“Oh its fine” Horus stated. Hitoru had been of the rather cuddly sort when they had been together but then again normally that was something one did with their mate wasn’t it? Ah well no harm no foul right? “Mm breakfast would definitely be good.” After all that’s just what he needed right, his stomach to protest loudly at its poor treatment.

She must have met the most laid back fox in existance. There was no way this guy was for real. Still, Xinder wasn't going to wait in constant fear that the other shoe would drop. She was just going to go with it.
"There's a herd of antelope that graze not too far from here. I'll take you if you're up to it."

Horus felt like humming to himself but it was hardly the place and looked over at xinder. There was almost a slight disbelieving air to her but there was hardly anything that warranted that so he was probably just imagining it. However, could he be acting too elder like again?
“Should be enough time for me to wake up enough, yeah I'll go for it” and he had to be after all he wasn’t the deadliest or the biggest thing that hunted antelope out here.
