Sherbert smiled and whimpered. She didn't feel the need to sing, too, but sat up and licked Yuya again. She smiled and batted a paw at him, her tail wagging ever so slightly. She was still a little hurt thinking about not having a mate; Dice had found one so quickly and was in love quicker then he could grow up. But she, she'd been around a lot longer and never found one to care about or to be cared for. She gave him the best smile she could, but it didn't come out to nice. She shrugged it off and lowered her body back to the floor, trying to comfort herself along with Yuya's persuasion.

Yuya could tell that she didn't fully understand the lyrics. He laid down beside her as he translated:
"You try to be strong, but you look at me with the eyes of a child
I'll wrap you up, accepting everything, including your tears
I'm unreliable, but I love you more than anyone
Even the littlest things are a special happiness"
He never felt this way before. And it scared him that it hurts to see her sad or that her smile didn't really reach up to her eyes. For some strange reason that he couldn't explain, he wanted to see her smile again. Like when she was wearing his hat...

Sherbert's eyes brewed with a tear or two, but she dared not let it shed. She blinked it away, keeping her eyes far from Yuya's. She never liked to even resemble a break down in front of anyone; not even her human. She laid her head on her paws, listening intently to his words; wishing what he said was true about him and her. But she didn't dare take a chance. She feared it would hurt. But then again, it hurt now, didn't it?

As he finished, his heart plummeted when she didn't respond. His entire body drooped when she turned away from him, refusing to make eye contact.
Did he read her wrong? Did she not like him? What went wrong?
His mind whirled around with these confusing questions. His mind was so occupied, he didn't notice the scent of salt from her direction.

Sherbert sat up, still refusing too look at Yuya, for fear she'd burst in tears. And walked toward the piano, sighing. She didn't quite feel compelled to speak, aside from that, she might cry if she did. She whimpered and hopped up on the piano, curling up in a small ball, before catching a glimpse of Yuya drooping in disappointment. She probably knew why but was still afraid to speak up. She forced herself to build up some sense of courage and whispered, "Yuya, I really like you." it was hardly audible, but she was just a little happy she had been able to speak at all with out crying.

"Yuya, I really like you"
His body jerked in shock. He had faintly heard it, but he heard it nevertheless.
Claws clicking on the hardwood floor, he made his way towards the piano. Towards Sherbert.
He hopped onto the piano's bench but wobbled as the bench rocked a little to the side. He quickly jumped onto the more stable piano while the bench could still support his weight.
Curling his body around hers, he laid his mouth close to her ear, "Me too."

Sherbert smiled as Yuya came darting her way and her eye's widened at his words. She turned to face him, eyes still streaming down her face from earlier when she had failed to hold them back. She licked his nose and whimpered. "Please, don't be lying to me," she uttered, "I don't think I could take a joke like that."

He licked her nose and buried his face into her fur. His words were muffled but still comprehendable. "I mean everything I say. Even if I'm borrowing words from a song..."

Sherbert smiled and turned to lick him. She knew that this would be a very difficult relationship to pull of and realized many people would tease her; but she actually welcomed that. Something out of the ordinary for any person or creature, really. Not many would desired to be teased. But in this situation, she'd be honored to be teased for him. She whimpered and rubbed her head against him, hardly whispering the words she'd always desired to say, "I love you."

His heart soared when he heard her. He gently cuddled her again, "Love you too... I'll always be here to protect you..."
He lovingly traced the stripes running down her arm with his paw. "You know, I always thought that these were really cute..."

Sherbert giggled, "I always thought you were really cute." she smiled. She felt like those anime japanese girl portrayed when they had crushes on boys. Like a school girl. She was as 'giddy as a school girl', and she was loving it... and Yuya for that matter. She rubbed her head against his and licked his nose again.

With a boyish smirk, he tossed his head, "Of course I'm cute..."
Looking outside the french windows, he could see that the sun slowly melted into the trees. The brilliant hues of red, orange, blue and purple were stunning.
But with the setting sun came the evening chill. Yuya got up and carefully took off his coat. Lying it across Sherbert's shoulders, he nuzzled her and said, "I'll be right back. I'll try to find a blanket or something."
Nimbly leaping down, he half-fell onto the floor, whipping his tail for balance. He quickly dashed out to find that blanket, thinking 'The faster I go, the faster I come back'

Sherbert giggled and laid her head down on her forepaws, peering out the windows at the sunset. She really liked Yuya and she really liked this perfect picture; her and her true love watching the sun set... after he gets a blanket to keep her warm. She wagged her tail slightly, daydreaming while watching the sunset with Yuya's coat resting on her to keep her warm. Romantic.

Yuya raced up the stair's to Moon's Haven and pried open the closet door. There he grabbed a down quilt-like blanket and began dragging it back to the piano room. Let's just say it's an interesting experience going back down the stairs.
Once back into the piano room, he tossed the blanket onto the piano before scrambling up. He spread the cover on top of Sherbert and snuggled in with her.
With a content sigh, he rested his head on hers and gazed at the wonderful scenery.
Together, they watched as the last bits of sunlight glanced off the gleeming snow, creating a small rainbow effect.
As the sky grew dark, the stars began to twinkle in the sky, one by one. The moon's gentle light shone to light the path for any traveller making his way back.
Yuya's life was nice and comfortable. After a long time of wandering, his heart finally found its home.

Sherbert laid comfortably on the piano next to Yuya, who had happily come back with a blanket, keeping her warm. She used her nose to drape it over him, too. She snuggled close to him, her tail wagging as she watched the sun melt over the horizon and disappeared to bring beauitful gleaming stars, where they gracefully shone in Sherbert's eyes.
