"I'm afraid most I know are really good at avoiding or getting away from fights..." she shrugged. "Not exactly the best teachers for finding my strengths. Being sheltered and all - doesn't really provide a lot of learning opportunities, though I certainly aspire to make them for myself!"

"Well, if you're sure..." her wicked grin flashed as she imagined Aydan, her almost constant companion and fun stealer's face when she told him she was getting fighting lessons from a incessantly bleeding wolf-man who needed donors. Oh yes, it would be simply priceless. And the skills she'd pick up..well considering her last run in with a skinwalker, they might be pretty helpful too. "So...what should I call you? Master Long Fang? Sifu Silver Mane..."

She blinked, "Seriously...well, if you're sure..." She took a step back and tried to figure out the best move for attack. Straight on wouldn't work too well, that would be obvious. Oh, from the flank! That would be good, though it would be better with a diversion. Well, make due with what you got! she thought before faking to move at him from the right and pulling back and repositioning herself to hit the left side.

Karloff didn't move at first. He had long since learned that fierceness and go into the attack because of his size was easier than losing ground. Sidestepping her attack at the last minute, he headbutted hard at her side.

Sonja wasn't sure what happened at first. She knew one moment she was going in for the attack and the next she was on the ground...and her ribs hurt. "Owww..." she muttered shaking her head and trying to recapture the breath that had been knocked out of her.

Karloff picked up his hooves delicately, not allowing himself to be lulled into being fooled. "Get up, quick." He watched her, his red eyes glowing brightly.

Sonja shook her head and rolled to her feet, despite her muscles' protest, "Ok...what just happened?" She planted her feet squarely on the ground, just in case the next lessons included a repeat of the last.
