Something small and insubstantial fluttered past Lucifer's face. It moved away and then above his head and fluttered about as if lost.
A butterfly.
Not only was it odd to see a butterfly fluttering around at night (it's night, isn't it?) but it was like no other butterfly in nature. It's wings were black and shiny.
It fluttered closer then away again to fly around Selene's head before moving out of easy reach. It didn't seem inclined to just fly away after exploring these late night (really hoping it's night) walkers.

Lucifer vanished for a brief second and re-appeared behind the butterfly, catching it before it can get away, He holds it between his thumb and finger he looks at the Selene "are all your bugs like this?" He asks

Edited!Musical laughter sounded above him, "Oh I hope not! That means my butterflies aren't unique, and we can't have that, now can we?"
The young woman was...floating above them on thin air. She appeared to be lounging on her stomach as if there was something solid underneath her. Long black hair spilled over her shoulders and hung down. Her skin was very pale, similar to Selene's and it seemed to glow a bit. Her eyes were as black as her hair. She kicked her feet lazily and grinned crookedly.
Obsidian eyed the one who'd captured her butterfly and the woman he'd been walking with. She was pale, dark-haired, and pretty, just like her! Oh goody! Obsidian particularly liked the shade of her eyes. The man, on the other hand, was why she was here. He'd been like a beacon in her senses and she'd followed the trail like...well, a moth to the flame. Now that she'd met him, she wasn't disappointed, "Well, aren't you interesting!" She chirped.
