Guys, globally, anyway, we're ******** class="clear"> ...I think you lost me. Pray4Answer With all these major 'quakes happening in the past few years, along with other natural disasters, maybe the world really -is- gonna end next year? If so, I vote for a zombie apocalypse. Either way, Mother Nature seems pissed. Personally I am hoping that the gates of heaven and hell open and a divine war takes place, just because I think it would be absolutely hilarious to wake up one morning and see that ("huh...that's...new"). Though zombies would work nicely too. I call dibs on the mall!

Shingami Hiroshi Though zombies would work nicely too. I call dibs on the mall! Naahh man, that's too stereotypical. Anyplace anyone else would think of first is a bad choice, i.e. police stations, hospitals...basically anywhere people would think to come together. Think about it scientifically: Zombies are dead. Dead = no body heat. So in otherwords, either hire your friendly neighborhood Nineball to be your guardian, or head north to someplace that stays below freezing temperature mrgreen Yes, I've thought about this a lot before.

But being at the mall just seems right, and you get to enjoy both the fun of looting and zombie killing. Police stations, on the other hand, are a pain in the a** though with all the puzzle solving you got to do ("So I need to get two red crystals to put into these statues to get the diamond shaped key that unlocks the door where I can get the shot gun and clover shaped key which will lead to the room where I need four crests to open the door? Who desighned this place!?")
I do see what you mean though. What if we used Wriggle to command flies, worms, and what not to an all you can eat buffet? or does that make zombie bugs?

Depends on what kind of zombie virus we're talking about, I'd imagine... Resident Evil had zombie insects and animals, but in Left 4 Dead, the zombie "virus" was actually a strain of rabies that humans contract, turning them insane and bloodthirsty.
Or, as one theory suggests, it makes them think that the survivors/humans are actually the zombies, meaning that the "real" zombies are just trying to defend themselves against your onslaught of buckshot. Or not. ("Monsters? They look like monsters to you...?" Whoops, wrong game!)
A "real" virus though, I don't believe is transmittable because both wildlife and insects can sense the infected tissue, and will stay away from a meal because of it.
But, I can agree with the whole looting, zombie-killing and general roadwarrior-ing that a zombie apocalypse usually entails. In fact, that's my main reason for choosing it:
-world blows up? Too fast to enjoy.
-mass nuclear missile launch? too much radiation / dealing with mutants.
-world-encompassing war? fun at first, but that stuff usually drags out unless it reaches option 2 quickly.

About the Touhou thirteen delay: I hate Mother Nature even more. Praying for Japan over here since it happened.
About zombies: Here are some tips I made, gathered from MANY zombie games/movies and other.
First: The most possible zombie to come out is the Day of the Dead ones (AKA: Slow Type). If our Technology was advanced, we would have Left 4 Dead Zombies/28 days (AKA: Fast Type). The Resident Evil kind would be totally out of whack.
Traits of a Slow Zombie:
They can not see AT ALL
They are Slow
Their Grip is extremely Strong, so try to watch out.
They aim for the most vital part of your body to bite. If they can not find it where they grabbed you, they will bite you anyways.
The infection will take effect from one bit ANYWHERE. So if someone is bit, you have an option to put him out of his misery before the inection takes hold, or kill him after.
Traits of a Fast Zombie:
They run.
They can see you (usually through some heat motion built in)
They thrash at people, never bite.
It's like rabies, so it takes Much longer than Slow Zombies to take effect (Like three-four days)
What they both share:
Weakness is the head. Decapitate or destroy.
Sensitive to Sound.
Found in groups for strange reasons.
Now about locations:
NEVER Stay in one place too long. If you do, you may get overwhelmed and soon end up dead.
You think cars would be effective to get away, but NO! They make too much noise and will end up alerting nearby zombies. it's better to drive against slow zombies.
Since they are sensitive to sound, Firecrackers and anything else along the lines could prove a good distraction. If you know how to make a Pipebomb and put a small alarm on it, you are GOLDEN for big groups.
Everyone may think the Mall is the best place to stay, well sorry to break it to you, that is the WORST place to stay. Sure it has what you need, but where will you hide? If you see a Mall, first ask the group you are with if they need supplies (Water, preserved food, First Aid, Weapons) and then see if you can get in without bringing zombies inside.
The best weapons for the job? Melee weapons. I mean Bats, Swords, wood with nails, anything. Guns should only be used as a backup and if there are not too many zombies around. If you are dealing with fast zombies, Guns will be the best bet, even with the sound. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT Bring guns that require a crap load of ammo. It will weigh you down and end up being a duck. Only up to Light Machine guns and Grenades are perfect.
There will be people who take over certain places cause of Zombies. If you meet them you have two options. A) Greet them and show you are just passing through. B) Explain what you are doing and leave without warning.
if all else fails, C) Negotiation.
In the end, you may have to kill a human if they threaten you all. Try to sneak up on them and pin them with no way of fighting back.
Next week, we will be talking about the best clothing for a Zombie Hoard.

Parth Makeo Found in groups for strange reasons. Oh, I know! Its because zombies by nature are lonely creatures. Just take a look at the witch form left for dead, crying alone to her self. Sure she lets out a horrifying scream if you try to give her company, but thats a cry of joy, and the only reason she chases you down and tears you apart is because she wants to give you a nice big hug, which dosen't work out with those hands of hers. The rest of the zombie hordes ofcourse just want to hold you and give you a little kiss ~<3 By the I was thinking, would a zombie invasion really mean the end? I mean for a bioweapon/virus, wouldn't an airborn strain or something that could be transmitted via mosquitos be far more effective than one tranmitted into the blood stream by direct contact alone? Zombies can't organize, use tactics, or weapons and tools. Besides that many of them already have sever muscle damage/decay. If you told a military organization that they had to use any means necessary to take out a large group of mentally handicaped cripples and the only danger is if they are bit, I think the fight would be horrifyingly one sided. You don't want to mess with those humans, they are scary. I heard they are even giving the lunarians a run for their money. Also I get the feeling the this thread has lost its way, though I am not complaining.

It has been off topic, but for last post before shutdown...
There will never be zombies like the Wtich/Tank and things like that. If a zombie breakout did happen, the possibilities of one type happening is predicted by me to be 80% Slow/20% Fast. The quote you took was mostly a joke, as when a Zombie breakout occurs you mostly see Large groups of them.
And here are nice tips for people who might be in danger.
DO NOT PANIC! The louder you scream, the more you attract.
If a loved one has become an infected Zombie, Kill him/her. It pains me to see a family member kill another, but when it comes down to it...it's either the Dead person or you become one yourself. Suck it up, Aim that gun, Pull the trigger, and Pray for them to find peace.
When in a group, make sure that you all communicate well. If you all can not get along, the group will either Die or the weakest link will go mad. And make sure to not take too many people. Too many members in one group will be too much to handle. I say the Maximum amount of people in a "Group" should be 8. That would be optimal to make two groups of 4 to scout around the area for useful items like Weapons, Water, Barrier items and so on.

I picked mine up about a year ago and have read it about 6 times xD

Dear god...its already BEGUN!!!Luckily, I think there is a group in place that could keep Gensokyo safe, though honestly I always perfered the original cast. ps. I need to get a copy of that book, cause I know I am going to be the first to go when the out break happens.
