Aleksander embraced Lillith, kissing her on the neck before stepping back to admire her choice of outfit.
"Ah Lillith my love, dressed for combat I see... Didn't think you'd want to sit this one out"
He grinned at the beautiful woman that was stood before him as the dark cloak he'd been wearing loosely on his shoulders fell to floor, revealing his heavily scarred chest and stomach.
"However, there should be enough room on the remaining sleeper ship for one more if you wish to survive this day..."
The looked down at the floor where his cloak had landed, then back up to meet Lillith's gaze. He didn't want her to die, nor anyone else, but he knew that he couldn't save everyone. He also knew that Lillith's decision was already made and that she was a stubborn one.

Tsukiko continued to stay where he was stood, though his head tilted ever so slightly at Takara's words. He could tell she was deeply distressed and forlorn, yet she was trying to make out otherwise. He didn't understand what was wrong with her, yet he felt it was his fault somehow... As his Beta continued to speak, he remained silent, though his attention was always on her. His massive furred head swung towards her as she nuzzled into his fur, yet still he did not speak.
It was not until she pulled away again that he brought his wolven face level with hers, staring into her eyes in a way that almost forbid her from looking away. He was glad he could talk to her in his wolf forms - something he couldn't do with humans usually - his voice was very deep, even more so than when he was human.
"Listen to me Takara. We are not all going to die. I have a plan.
His jaws pulled back a little, forming a toothy grin.
"You'll see."
Lilith shivered ever so slightly from Alek's touch & smiled at his comment, knowing full well that the outfit - despite being perfect for fighting - showed off her figure more than was perhaps necessary. Her gaze flickered over his scarred body & she was breifly saddened that she'd never again be able to.... well... 'experience' that body again. The succubus was reflecting on previous encounters when she realised that her lover had spoken about her going on a sleeper ship.
A deep frown appeared on her features, darkening her face & giving her an almost evil aura - highlighting her less-than-human nature. Her now faintly glowing eyes fixed themselves upon Alek & her voice became almost threatening yet still smooth and silky.
"If you think for one moment that I'm going to leave you to die on this planet without me, you're wrong."
To emphasise the final word, she jabbed the anicient man roughly in the chest with one of her fingers.

Despite her strong will, Takara couldn't drag her eyes away from Tsukiko's reassuring gaze. After hearing his words, she sucked in a huge breath and forced a wobbly smile onto her jaws. She shifted to her human form, and lay a hand on the side of Tsukiko's muzzle, her one working eye gleaming as she smiled softly still. I can never not rely on you..I trust you to get us ALL out of this alive....
Takara turned away from Tsukiko, jogging back to the werewolf pack. She was the beta, she should be setting an example. Takara was wearing a purply halterneck top with black 3/4 length trousers, and combat boots. She turned to her werewolf pack, and as she threw her head back once again, altered to her lycanthrope form, howling a tuneful howl to the rest of the group, drawing them all together.

Tsu grinned down at Hikaru, sticking his tongue out as well, before turning back to Minoru.
"Ah, I'm alright~"
The long-haired man grinned.
"Don't worry 'bout us"
Ryuu rolled his eyes at Tsu, and folded his arms giving the twins a questioning look.
"Worst off? How so? Like Tsu said, we haven't gone anywhere 'cept round here so what's happening elsewhere?"

Hikaru sighed, closing his eyes briefly and turning his face to the ground. Without looking up or even opening his eyes, he spoke.
"Things are pretty bad everywhere what with the whole 'the moons gonna f***ing crash into us and we're all gonna die!' things here-"
"Are much worse then everywhere we've seen. It's just the usual chaos everywhere else. Gunfights, panic, no resources, cities reduced to a little more then rubble..."
"Everythings worse here because this is the site of the last ever war on this planet. So far this is the 'calm before the storm'. The city here, is like a ghost town filled with rotting corpses, burned down buildings, dried blood in the streets and not a living person in sight."
Hikaru looked up at Tsu and Ryuu, a solemn look in his eyes.
"At least with people fighting there are people. The lack of, living, people is way worse then everything else in our eyes..."

The ten-thousand year old gave a small smile, which both showed his affection towards the woman before him and a hint of concern.
"I knew you'd say that."
The sun dimmed slightly as the moon started to pass between it and the Earth for what would be the last time.
The final eclipse was about to begin, the last rays of sunlight disappearing behind the massive rock would be the signal for Tsukiko's army to attack.
Aleksander noticed the slight dimming of the star, as did most others.
"The time has almost come my dear, we best get ready"

Tsukiko waited for a while before he headed towards his pack, looking up at the rapidly disappearing sun. The time to fight was almost here.... He listened to Takara's howl without shifting, though he knew his pack would be waiting for him to rally them, to give them courage. As he gazed out upon the ruined world, the thing Tsukiko could feel most strongly was the deep pounding of his heart within his chest. He would hold onto that feeling to prove to himself that he was still alive.
Slowly, the Alpha rose to his feet, the wind ruffling his fur as he did so. As he turned towards his army, instantly becoming human again. He strode towards Takara & stood next to her, before addressing the werewolves before him.
"Uratha! The time for war is nearly upon us! Soon, we will face the scum who tried to imprison us, control us & destroy everything that we had come to know & love. Soon, we shall tear them limb from limb, rend the flesh from their bodies & crush them with our strength!"
This brought about a large amount of yelling, howling and barking as his wolves cheered him on. But the Alpha's expression darkened somewhat as he began to speak again,
"I cannot lie to you. The battle ahead will not be easy. I cannot prevent casualties & I know that many of you have followed me here, without asking me what you were letting yourselves in for. So now, I offer you the chance to step out. I am not forcing any of you to risk your lives."
Tsukiko's gaze swept across the crowd before him &, though a few looked to each other, not one of them left.
After waiting for a few more moments, the Uratha shifted to his Gauru state, tilted back his massive black, furry head & howled. A chorus of other howls soon joined his, creating a battle cry unlike any that had been heard before.
Lilith tilted her head a little to look at the beginning of the eclipse, her hair swirling around her face. With the sun covered by the moon, she would have access to the largest shadow possible, there would be no limit to the weapons she could create. She wondered whether that would be enough to get her through the battle; she knew she was going to die anyway, since Alek had made it clear he wasn't going to leave the planet, but that didn't mean she was going to embrace her fate with open arms. She liked living too much for that.
As the sounds of the werewolves began to grow louder the succubus turned towards Alek with a delicate smile on her face. Next moment she had her arms wrapped around his neck, kissing him with as much passion as she could. Their time was limited, so she wanted to spend some intimate moments with him if she could.

Takara shifted to human as her leader did, marvelling at his calm exterior. But, being as close as she was, she could hear his thudding heart. Takara hadn't found her Gauru form, so simply shifted to her lycanthrope - two legs all the same, and tuned in to the pack's howl.
Once over, she glanced behind her at the other helpful, doting members of their relentless team - spotting the male and female sharing one of the last few special moments that they would have. There was no doubt that someone - if not all of them - would die here. Takara looked to her leader, her secret love, and watched his gaze upon the immense crowd below them.
She would never have another chance like this...and now seemed more appropriate than ever. The female broke her form, shifting to human, and flung her arms around the Uratha's shoulders, pulling him tight to her. He towered over her and hoping he shifted beforehand, she gently shut her eyes and attempted to connect their lips. It was now or never - if she hadn't told him ... or shown him now, then she never would have.

Aleksander returned his lover's kiss; wrapping his arms around her waist, lifting her off the floor slightly and then spinning slowly on the spot.
He put Lillith back down with a grin.
"Don't you go dying on me missus, you won't want to miss the finale."
He turned to face the main Angelus corporation skyscraper, which dwarfed all other surrounding buildings.
The ancient man reached into his holster and drew a high calibre revolver that was decorated with elaborate patterns and had a strange blue aura.
"Hopefully this one won't break on me."
The air was bitterly cold, far too cold to use the badly worn handcannon. As hammer collided with the rear of the custom-made bullet, (regular bullets didn't have enough 'boom' for his liking) it stuck slightly in the barrel, which had been warped slightly by the extremely low temperature.
The weapon shattered in his hand.
He wouldn't risk using the other, it would prove useful later.

Having returned to his human state to survey the crowd once more, Tsukiko found himself being pulled in a sideways direction. His eyes widened slightly in surprise & there was an almost collective gasp from the gathered werewolves as Takara made her move. For a moment, just as their lips connected, the Alpha froze. His brain attempted to figure out what was going on & why his Beta had done such a thing, had he been completely oblivious to her affections? Always assuming that he would never have a chance with someone like her. Or was this simply a spur-of-the-moment thing that didn't really mean anything at all?
As though mentally shrugging to himself, the werewolf decided that, either way, he might as well go for it while he had the chance. Wrapping his arms round her, Tsukiko easily lifted Takara off the ground & kissed her back. He could hear a multitude of cheering, whistling & howling from the crowd, but ignored them for now.
Lilith felt herself literally being swept of her feet & a warm glow spread through her body - not just from the energy seeping into her, but from the love she had developed for the ancient man. She had never been able to explain how that had happened. How her feelings had changed from simply desiring Alek for unlimited supply of energy he held, to truly, deeply loving him. She rolled her eyes when he told her not to die - as though she'd let a bunch of mutated freaks get the better of her - & watched as he drew a rather ornate gun.
A small tendril of shadow wound it's way up the succubus' arm, quickly forming the shape of the revolver once in her hand - though without all the patterning. She grinned a little before allowing the shadows to disperse.
"Don't worry, I won't die, not with the largest shadow in the world to help me."

Takara was taken by surprise when she felt her body being lifted from the floor and Tsukiko responded after a brief second. Her cheeks flushed uncontrollably, as she was set down, she kept his hand held, having now decided that she wouldn't hide it any more. She sheepishly lifted her head to face the cheers of the immense crowd thronged below them, her blonde and white hair blowing around in it's ribbon.
The female smiled, a serene smile that seemed so out of place for this situation, but at the same time, completely appropriate. Her eye glittered, and the scars were, for a moment, almost non-existent. But, there was still unfinished business....
The Beta slowly dragged her gaze towards the male, her eyes kind but wary, and her lips uttered the long overdue words that had slowly begun to rot on her tongue,, having been sat there for such a long time.
"I love you Tsukiko."

The ancient man looked up at Tsukiko and Takara, looking back at Lillith before resting the revolver on his shoulder.
"You seeing that Lil?"
He yelled over to the Alpha with a grin on his scarred face.
"About damn time!"
He turned back to Lillith.
"We'd better get going soon, there's a war to fight"

As Tsukiko looked down at Takara a warm smile spread across his features; all of the various sounds around him seemed muffled & he was only vaguely aware of Alek's voice. There was only her. He gently placed one of his hands on her face, rubbing his thumb lightly across her cheek. It seemed almost unbelievable, she had just said that she loved him! After a few seconds, the werewolf's hand moved to the back of Takara's head, his other arm wrapping around her as he pulled her forwards into a warm embrace, positioning it so she would be able to rest her chin on his shoulder.
Tsukiko held her there for what seemed to him like an eternity, but in reality was only half a second. Then, almost whispering the words as though afraid they would lose meaning if he uttered them any louder, the Alpha stated.
"I love you too Takara..."
Lilith smiled as she too looked over at the alpha werewolf, her face as sweet as ever, though this time she was actually sincere.
"The lad deserves some good in his life... I can tell how much he hurts inside."
For a moment the succubus didn't respond to Alek's final statement, she simply stood looking at Tsukiko with her long black hair blowing around her face. Abruptly she blinked & turned towards her husband (if she could call him that) nodding to him.
"I'll get an aerial view, see what the enemy is doing."
With that said, shadows began to converge on Lilith, covering her entire body for a few moments; once they faded she stood with her bat-like wings fully unfurled, a strange reptilian/scorpion tail sweeping slowly across the ground behind her. Her clothing, while still the same in terms of shape, were not black & almost glossy, as though molded to her skin like armour. Turning her head the succubus smiled at Alek, showing fanged teeth, just before taking off into the air. The fairly large wings extending from her shoulders propelling her easily up into the air.

Takara gently closed her eyes as she relished in the warm embrace. But when Tsukiko returned her kind words, her stomach lurched. She would never have thought that he felt the same, he was an Alpha, and she just a Beta. Takara lay her hands on his chest, just below his collar bone, her eyes not daring look up at his. "It seems we waited too late to tell each other...nothing will ever come of this...will it?" she realised, a small silvery tear catching in her eye.
It was a sad truth, a bitter sweet story - a tale of two secret lovers having finally admitted their love, only to realise the horror that they will have no life to live together, for their final battle was to commence, all too soon. The female sniffled slightly, the urge to lean her head on his chest and want his arms around her shoulders proving almost unmanageable. But the young woman sighed inwardly, her shoulders the only give away that she made a movement at all. Takara broke her personal promise and gave herself the moment of looking up at his masculine features - one of his main attractions. She smiled as best she could knowing the sad ending of this fairytale.

Ryuu rubbed his face, the dark circles under his eyes showing more than ever now.
"Hell on Earth, more or less?"
He gave a low chuckle before turning his head to the loving couple. Sad really, how they had decided that this should be the time to announce their love for each other. This silent observation was rudely interrupted by Tsu whistling.
The other man was grinning like an idiot. However Tsu wasn't the only one, as most of the people around them were cheering as well.
He sighed. This wasn't really the time for all this, but hey, who was he to say what people can and can't do.
