Bastshut her eyes tightly and removed her goggles, switching them with her blindfold quickly while repressing the pain from the light of the world. The extra fabric of the blindfold reached most of the way down her back, ending somewhere beneath her hair, and with an extra tug from Anima, the blindfold was tight on the woman's face. The woman then draped an arm across Anima in a half-hug and turned toward Ganchou with a huge smile.
"Of course we're ready to go, kid! Lead the way, O Leader of ours!" she exclaimed in jubilation as she pulled a white mask with a single black brushstroke on its surface from her cloak. "The two Anima have reunited, and there's nothing to stop us now! Let's head out as the soldiers of the Sand!"

Ganchou nodded, pumped his fist once, then led the way out of the room and the ruins. Six rolled her eyes and loped after him. Outside, he shot a flare into the sky, and headed for the Jashinist's encampment.

Bast moved to follow, but Anima did not budge. For a moment, Bast was confused and could not understand why the Anima would remain as such, until the latter formed a hand seal. As soon as that happened, Bast picked up her partner and rushed outside after Ganchou, hoping that Anima wouldn't start activating anything lethal before they got to the city.

San nodded to the Jofuku friend of his and motioned with his head to follow Bast and Ganchou. San, reaching into his Burden golem, removed his black ANBU Bear mask and placed it on, and pulled his hood over his head. Whatever was about to happen, it was game time now. Failure wasn't an option....
