Marc looked back at her. "I just have to write a paper..." He pulled the hall pass out of his back pocket. "Its only 20 pages on a random star constellations..." He smiled. He didn't have astrology as a class... but his charms teacher has sided with the astronomy teacher.

A paper wasn't so bad until he gave the length she sputtered and looked at him. " Twenty pages!" Wow. So what constellation are you going to write about?" The kid was nuts willing to write 20 pages instead of sneaking out. Though he was good at papers maybe it would be that big of a deal for him. She hoped she didn't get caught, golly only knows what she might have to do.

He smiled and shook his head. "I have no clue..." He glanced around. "Maybe draco... I heard it has history and stuff." He shrugged and walked down the stares next to her. He wasn't trying to hide. And because of that he drew the attention of a passing teacher.
"You two!" The teacher was calling down the corridor.
Marc caught Von's arm before she could even think to run. "Its ok... I have hall passes... I offered to do another ten pages so you could have one too." He held them up with a smile. The teacher simply glanced at them and left them be. "See...I can take care of everything."

Von nodded as Marc talked about the Constellations but at the sound of the teacher she made ready to bolt only to have Marc hold her steady before her feet moved. Apparently she wasn't the only one with fast reflexes. She kept her face neutral as til the teacher was gone and she jerked her arm free. " You seem to think of everything. I should have known you'd follow the rules enough for both of us." She couldn't make up her mind if she was mad that he was willing to write 10 pages or that she'd never have cared if they hadn't gotten busted and his plan saved her butt.

Marc frowned. "Hey whats wrong?" He ran his hand through his hair. The teacher was completely gone. "Are you mad at me?" He looked at her, his green eye's flittered around her face. "Im...Im sorry... I didn't mean to upset you..."

Von took one look at Marc and sighed. " Nah, you're fine. You thought of everything. But now I feel a little bad that you're writing papers to cover for me." She nudged him playfully as she added. " I mean if you write the papers with out me having to persuade you it takes all the fun out of it." She stopped as they approached the split between their two houses. " Hey can I have that hall pass in case I get busted inside?" And who knows maybe it'll be reusable.

Marc smiled and handed her the pass. "Its just a bunch of words..." He smirked. "Don't worry aboot it... " Grinning her threw his arms around her hugging her tight smooshing the guitar between them. "I will see you later..."

" Well if it's just words, I've got a few papers due.." She smiled and and tucked the pass into her pocket. She was about to thank him again for guitar when he surprised her by hugging her. And if he hadn't just given her the coolest thing ever she probably would have decked him. Though once released she stepped away. " Ok that's a freebie for the guitar. Next time I'll prolly deck ya. And harder then Clarissa apparently did." She was smiling and the ton was light but her stance said she'd follow through if it came to it.

He laughed and waved off her words. "Goodnight Von...Sleep tight" And with that he walked away down to the hufflepuff basement.
