She knew that logically this was true, there wasn't any reason she should be upset about it, since it wouldn't help at all.
Though maybe the reason she was so down wasn't exactly becasue of how she lost... It was to who.
Regardless of her reasoning... that seemed completely irrational once she thought about it, Hearing Agent Mau's words were very encouraging.
Lifting her gaze back up from the ground to look over at the Agent, when he offered an opportunity to train.
"I wouldn't mind that. It would help quite a bit actually."
She also glanced over at Nyx as she went up to get a drink, finishing her coffee before picking up the soda that Mau had given her.
"Thank you sir" she added. She might not ever be incredible with Pokemon, but she would do the best she could, and take any help that was offered.

Mau should have realized that he was now mostly safe from poisoning. Mostly. Probably.
Nyx took a drink of her concoction and grimaced. "Oh! That is ethanol alright." At least the taste of the orange juice mostly covered up the strong taste of vodka. She may have mixed her drink a little strong, but she didn't think so; She had measured out basically the right amount for her height and weight, so she would drink it. Nyx looked at those seated with her on the couch, but mostly at Faleen. "Why don't you drink something? Party, yes?" Like she knew what she was talking about. The only parties she'd ever been to were the ones at school, and those were technically the science fair.
The drink had already started to work its magic, though it would still take a few minutes to really hit; Nyx's ears and nose were starting to turn ever so slightly pink, and it wasn't because she was sitting next to Mau.

He had been people watching for a little while now and nobody had approached him. He wasn't sure if he liked that or not. On one hand, he wanted to be alone... on the other, he had come to 'socialize' in an attempt to process everything that had happened recently. The others seemed to know how to best socialize: alcohol. Those irksome morals had been screaming No, no! Never the alcohol! You're far too young! but they had also screamed No, no! Don't steal Pokemon! It's wrong! in the beginning and he couldn't help but look back at what he had done since joining the Rockets and... shrug.
His feet were in action before his brain was. He passed by a table with drinks and snacks and walked straight up to Agent Nyx and... shrugged. Without a simple hello, he grabbed the drink in her hand and chugged what was left as quickly as possible. Its taste was comparable to washing down a box of lit matches with a cup of orange juice and Liam couldn't say that it was something he could see himself coming to enjoy; then again, that was the purpose of alcohol, after all.
As the unfamiliar warmth spread like an oil stain in his stomach, Liam finally looked up at the woman he had taken the drink from. "Hi Agent Nyx," he stated nonchalantly, "Let me get you a drink. What do you like?"

Faleen looked to the drink in Nyx's hand when she had suggested that they get drinks.
Responding by holding up the can of soda that she had been given, "I think its best I stick with this" she added into her reply.
A familiar young Rocket came over to Nyx shortly after, Faleen shifted her gaze to recognize Grunt Liam, another Rocket who had been on the mission, and one Faleen had worked closely with this time around.
she was taken by surprise when he stopped in front of Nyx, took the drink out of her hand and drank it for himself, eyes widened, eyebrows arched a little, unsure of how to take that, though she did get the impulse to laugh a little.

 "You don't need to thank me." Mau said smoothly. "It will be good for us." He kept his face friendly, hoping to put Faleen at ease. He watched Nyx go and get a drink, smirking, wondering if her should grab something himself, though doubting that there would be much to his taste. He was about to pardon himself to inspect the provided refreshments... when suddenly Liam swiped Nyx's drink. That was unexpected. Mau pursed his lips together, watching. He should have told Liam that Nyx had scienced up her drink, and he should get his stomach pumped right away... Nah. "Faleen, do you want anything to eat?" He asked, still keeping an eye on Nyx and Liam to see how it would unfold.

"What? But... Faleen. Party" She whined, not wanting to be the only one drinking; She may have been starting to experience some of the effects already. Nyx looked at Liam as he took her drink and finished it off, she blinked, partially from the shock of having her drink stolen out of her hand, and partially due to the fact that her eyes seemed to be moving faster than she'd expected. Woah. "... My drink." The agent pouted, disappointed that her carefully scienced drink had been thefted.
"No, no. I have a very specific formula, and I have to do it myself, hold on." Nyx stood with a groan and walked back to the refreshments, where she re-scienced her drink... As well as one for Faleen, because she wouldn't possibly be able to turn down a gifted one. Nyx returned to the couch and held the drink out to the grunt. "Happy it's a party, Faleen!" The scientist was quite chipper.

Over by the refreshments, Alba had the worst timing at deciding to take a sip of his coffee, which was right when a much younger Rocket swiped a drink from what looked like an agent. At least the coughing fit from nearly choking covered up the burst of laughter. He gave his chest a few good pounds for good measure, put down his coffee, located a can of orange juice, and poured it into a glass similar to the one the kid was holding. The trainee then walked over to stand beside Liam. "Might want to just stick to basics for now, sir," Alba said, trying not to laugh again or grin too much. Reaching around the shorter kid's shoulder, he made to switch the empty glass for the one filled with plain orange juice.

Apparently stealing an Agent's scienced drink was cause for becoming the center of attention, having caught glances from Mau, Faleen, and especially Nyx, not to mention the trainee who was giving him an orange juice. He waited for a moment, hoping that tingling in his stomach would transform magically into some sort of liquid awesomeness. He waited and... nothing...
"Awww, but... alcohol..." Liam whined, inching closer to the table. Nyx's scienced drink was nice enough, but Liam needed... SHOTS! He grabbed one from the table and downed it quickly before grabbing a second... and a third from the table. Both hands full, he returned to his place near Nyx and Mau and handed a shot to Alba.
"Party!"

She couldn't help but be amused with the small group, watching as another Rocket, a trainee she had never met before came over and took the drink from Liam, switching it out for something that was clearly more age appropriate. Though, honestly, today, the kid deserved to drink whatever her wanted, and that much was apparent to him as well when he grabbed up some shots and offered one to the older Trainee as well.
A weak smile worked over her lips as she watched this, though blinked and looked back over when a drink was handed to her by Nyx.
"Oh" she blinked at it for a moment, before reaching up to take it, apparently the Agent really wanted her to drink.
she looked down at the drink in her hands, then back up to nyx, then over to Liam who had shouted about happy "PARTY!"
Well... new experiences... right?
Faleen hesitated for a moment, before taking a drink from the cup.
It certainly was something new, and the experience made her eye twitch as she made a noise of disgust and surprise "Oh my goodness" she gagged, giving the drink a strange look... before taking another sip.
"I never understood the attraction."
She nodded to Mau, still seemingly horrified by the concoction in her cup
"I would, thank you." if he was offering, she hadn't eaten anything since that morning, and if she was going to be drinking, she needed something in her stomach.

Alba, who very clearly was of drinking age, looked at the shot like... well, he wasn't sure what he must look like, but it had to be interesting. A mix of amusement, uncertainty, and disgust were aimed at the small piece of glass and the liquid held within. Minding his manners, he smiled-- grimaced-- his thanks to Liam. He even raised it just the slightest as though making a toast, but otherwise didn't touch the drink. The kid, on the other hand, was probably going to hate himself later.
"So, uh, does this place have parties like this often?" he asked the group at large. Lame attempt at small talk, go!

"Parties like this..." Liam thought about it, taking the momentary silence to down his shot before stealing the one he had given Alba from his hand and downing that one too. Those were... less like oranges and more like lite matches... and possibly razor blades. Yes, definitely a hint of razor blades. But it was what he wa- no, needed. Oh, right... that guy he was talking to.
"I... don't think so? I've never seen one, at least. But, still... party!"

The Party went on through most of the night, more Rockets showed up, more booze was consumed, and most everyone had an enjoyable night of just being able to let loose.
Let there be more excuses to party in the future Team Rocket!
