I just found out today that my mom's friend's wife has a brain tumor. >.< We're hoping that it's not malignant.

I joined for my mom. Two years ago we found out she had a brain tumor, and then a few months later the doctors found a second one.

At first it was pretty hard, cuz we didn't know how bad it was going to be. The doctors were able to remove both tumors, and there haven't been any others so far, but in her case the tumors are expected to keep coming back. She still gets sick feeling from time to time and her hair's thinned a bit, but she doing pretty good for the most part though. She's mostly just tired and forgetful, but I think it mostly from her medication now.

I joined the Guild in memory of those I've lost. I toin the thread(?) for the battles I've won. I survived, no, triumphed over brain tumor twice as a child and have hearing and vision loss from it and treatment. My song to describe this is Alice by Avi Lavine. Hey, I'd like to join Team Brain again this year.
As for my stories: My Grandfather -whom died before I was born- had a brain tumor and they removed it... Unfortunately he ended up a vegetable. My mother also has a benign cyst-like 8cm pinecone-shaped tumor in the middle of her brain. It's inoperable as well. However, my mother is well functioning and we've known about this for seven years. It doesn't affect her too much though she does have her days where she is bedridden with sickness.
