My momma put me on a leash because I was an escape artist.
I would always find a way out of the stroller or wagon.
I also had a habit of running out into the street, not safe.
So my momma put me on a leash.
Solved the problem, kept me safe.

I had no leash used on me... and I think I should have. There have been so many incidents with me wandering away, by no fault of my parents whatsoever, that still sends chills down my spine. Especially that time at the company's Christmas party when I was two and nearly drowned in a hot tub... One of the few memories I have at that age. Luckily I'm not afraid of water or hot tubs.
Suppose it didn't help at all that I was an accomplished escape artist. lol
