Powered up, and crystal masked into his own face it made it that much more tempting to do things he knew better than to do in a public place with his own face. Had he turned into one of the Hillworth teachers instead, he'd have had no qualms about knocking out several dancers by sucking their energy out from where he stood. PARTICULARLY Ever's ...both for leaving to dance and for spiking his drink. Instead he rolled the small smoke bomb in his hand and shouldered his way into the crowd, stronger like this it was easier and he reached his target with some effort but in decent time. He reached up and tapped Ever on the shoulder...and as soon as he turned, crushed the pellet in his hand, and dumped it into Ever's shirt front pocket. He flashed a wide and enormously forced smile at him and then turned and vanished...shouldering his way through the crowd, obscured quickly by all those taller than himself. Meanwhile Ever's shirt pocket was looking like it had a chimney fire...

Ever'd had some strong drinks. For a stunned moment he had absolutely no idea what was going on; and then, finally, he caught on, making a sharp noise and nabbing the bomb out of his pocket. It burned his palms, rolled away into the crowd and started the scene they'd talked about -- and after just a few quick pats against his chest to put out the smolder, Ever beat it.
He wanted a cigarette anyway. He wove through the crowd in a slightly-less-expert-than-usual way and disappeared out through a side door, fingers crossed that it wasn't alarmed. In the alley, he drew in several deep breaths and tried to decide if he was amused or annoyed.
...he could be both.

There, just to the right of the door, sitting on one of the smaller trash can's was the culprit whom had just cost you a burned balm and at least a little panic. "You're right... it -is- a lot more fun this way." He said sounding almost as pleased with himself as he looked. And that was to say he looked like the cheshire cat when it declared they were 'all mad here'. "What's the matter, I thought dancing with smoke was supposed to add ambiance... wrong kind of smoke?" He said with thinly feigned innocence.

Ever coughed raggedly into the crook of his elbow -- shirt ruined, alas, and he would mourn that a little later when he was sober, and annoyance won over for only a moment before giving way. The simple fact of the matter was that annoyance didn't get him anything. There was nothing he could do with it.
Amusement on the other hand...still coughing a little, voice raggedy and his grin not in full force, Ever's reply wasn't as witty as it could have been. "...if you were jealous...you could have just said something."

Zac's eyes widened like a Deer in headlights before narrowing sharply. "you -WISH-." He snapped It seemed a touchy spot to poke at because Zac went from smug to stewing. "If I were foolish enough to be jealous of anyone's attentions, it wouldn't be of someone who can't even keep his attention on a target for longer than 5 minutes before he's off -grinding- with some gay midnight cowboy wana-be. Serve you right if you suffered for it, You spiked my drink then you DITCHED on me when I was doing you a FAVOR."

Ever made a noise at that, dismissive, recovering his breath some and leaning back against the wall. He patted lightly at his pocket again, making a small face at the ruined fabric, the end of this shirt, and wobbling just a little bit. His eyes mostly closed to watch Zac through his lashes, licking his lips and wishing he'd nabbed some water, too.
"If I'd ditched you, you wouldn't be able to find me." He'd been within easy range; Ever really didn't seem to see it the same way. He drew in another deep breath. "...and if you weren't just a little bit interested, I don't think you'd be here yelling at me now."

"Don't -say- that." Zac said his shoulders so tense they were trembling, with rage or some other emotion it was hard to say. "I'm not -interested- in anyone... I -tried- interested once, that was all the 'interested' I ever needed to try." He said through gritted teeth and his face flushing. His eyes blazed as he scowled, his hands clenched into fists as he fought the urge just to rip the star seed out of Ever, but that was just too god damned intimate...he didn't want to make the young man right by -default. That would never do. "You have no idea how good I am at finding people, you have no idea what it's like for me to be IN somewhere like that, I very VERY much doubt you considered what it would look like when I came OUT...you who wanted to 'go out for a cigarette to cover your tracks...and there you are off -dancing- and Its hard enough for me to mash through those people without -looking- for you in the middle of it all." Ridiculous, the very idea that he would care about the attentions or placement of an infuriating IMPEDIMENT

"You think too much." He drew in another breath to answer more, and then blew it out: really, he'd just wanted a cigarette, and Zac was over thinking every detail of the night. Ever's head was swimming with the smoke and the vodka, a hand in his pocket to toy with the box of cigarettes. For a moment, he considered tapping one and lighting up, his eyes still tracking the younger man's movements.
Ever was smart, but that didn't mean he was bright. He made a noise at that sharp edge of anger, tilted his head -- and decided to press his luck. Worst case scenario, he figured, was a kick in the shins. Zac wasn't even tall enough to get much higher than that, a thought which made one corner of his mouth twitch up.
"We'll find out, huh?" The question was the only warning Zac got before Ever bent, tipping his head down and cursing relative heights, to steal a kiss.

Zac -very- nearly fell off the back of his garbage can at the sudden severe invasion of his personal space... unacceptable... UNACCEPTABLE!
If Ever was serious about Zac thinking too much, he needn't have worried about it in the next few seconds. Doubtful he understood what happened when Zac's hand or rather...Zinkenite's hand who happened to look like Zac's, shoved hard against his shoulder, and drained the energy out of him.

As it was, Ever was probably tipsy enough to overlook much of this come tomorrow but -- well. That was certainly going to help. He blinked in surprised, his head tilted to the side, and then rather inelegantly swooned; crumpling against the wall. Either Zac -- no, Zink -- would catch him, or he'd collapse into a pool at the young man's feet.
And he'd feel like s**t when he woke up.

((Lost))
Zac watched ever crumble, in fact he gave him a light shove to make sure he crumpled properly to the filthy pavement rather than anything -rude- like falling on him. "Jerk." He informed the unconscious form. He lifted the little orb of energy he'd stolen from Ever calmly for a moment and then popped it in his mouth. He rather thought he'd earned that one. He hopped off the garbage can and got a good hold of Ever's arm before dragging it over his shoulder and heading towards the mouth of the alley after a quick picking of his pockets for an address and funds. Not enough...of course. b*****d couldn't even pay his way when he was unconscious. He pulled out his own money and flagged down a taxi telling them that Ever was 'just drunk insensible' and could they please make sure he made it home safe. He handed them the rest of Ever's money and part of his own to ensure that he wasn't just dropped off on the pavement outside, tempting though it was. As he made his own way back to the Dorms he did reflect on one thing. It -had- ended up a fun evening, and he felt a -great- deal more energized now than he had at the start. He whistled a tune all the way back to his rooms.
