Iyasu raised her hand after Yukiko had answered. "Isn't also a way to worships and to cleanse one's soul?"

Kikaru sat silently, looking about the room and at the other maiko before drawing her attention back to the sensei's question. Unfortunately Isayu had already offered the only answer that came to her mind.

"Yes, you're both right. Very good. The tea ceremony is all about simplicity and cleansing oneself inside and out. Now, we'll talk the glass outside and I shall run through the first steps to the ceremony." Momoko stood and walked to the back of the classroom, sliding the door open and stepping outside onto the deck and then into her shoes. "If you'll all sit up there, I can start."

Makoto quietly followed behind Momoko looking around for a moment hoping she was supposed to follow. She took a seat down on the deck, bowing her head to Momoko.

Iyasu followed the other geisha out, marveling at the beauty of the outside. She set herself down next to Makoto and smiled to her. She was curious to see what the sensei would do next.

Taiyoko thought about the meaning of tea ceremonies. She wasn't much one for peace and slowness, but if it helped her become a geisha, than she'd try it.
"Tea is good" she said aloud.
"That sounded so stupid."

Yukiko followed her teacher and the other students outside. Once in the great outdoors, she found the sun just a little too bright for her delicate eyes and took her fan from her sleeve to shield them. After bliking a few times to adjust, she found a place to sit down.

Kikaru followed the others outside. It was beautiful out here..though maybe a little bright. She half closed her eyes as she looked for a place to sit among the others.

"One of the biggest things that the tea ceremony is about is cleanliness. The body, the soul, even the surroundings to where the ceremony is to be cleaned. Preparing for a proper ceremony can take up to a full day. First, the person must wash themselves, but I don't think we can do that in a class setting, so I'll skip ahead." Momoko moved a few steps back and picked up a small wooden bucket which had a laddel in it.

Ookami_sama (( I was wondering if there was a possibilty of me signing up? )) ((of course you may.)) "Everything in the outter part of the garden must be swept, the bushes must be trimmed, and, depending on the season, water is to be sprinkled around. Since we have no quite yet gotten into spring, I will follow the winter process." Momoko moved to the small garden gate, placed the laddel in the pail of water and sprinkled it over the bamboo wood. She did the same thing on all the stepping stones that led to the tea house. "Each step is very important and must be done. Let us go back inside and I will explain the rest. But before I continue, are there any questions?"
