She kept her eyes on the jewel, as she heard a clench around something, and heard movement coming from the new male that she had encountered. She chuckled and continued to look at it. She heard him demand it back, and looked at him with a smirk on her face. "Now now, Why should I give it back to you while you're being so demanding?" She questioned, then laughing tauntingly as if she was mocking his seemingly violent behavior. She looked back at the jewel and turned it from side to side, examining the entire thing, rubbing her finger on it to get rid of a smudge of dirt on it. She then heard the mans hand get tighter around his blade. Her smirk got bigger, as she chuckled lightly. "Don't rush me, or you won't get anything from me." She continued to examine the jewel thoroughly. She then looked over to Jade as she held out her dagger, and then looked at the jewel again. She scoffed and turned her nose up at it. "Garbage piece of crap. I thought something this beautiful would be worth more." She dropped it while chuckling, into a mud puddle, and put her hands in her pockets, completely ignoring the mans hand held out to take it back.

He walked over to pick it up, and he did so as carefully as possible. He wiped it off quickly, and returned it to his pocket. "This was a gift from my mother, the last remnant I have of her existance." He nodded to the taller of the two. He returned his focus to the one who had been so rude to him. "I didn't mean to demand it, but I had every right to. I'm still a bit shaken up.." He put his sword back and apologized as best he could.

While the man had grabbed his jewel possession and dusted it off explaining it as a gift from his mother, Jade had somewhat creeped to the guy and started examining his jacket. Her curious little mind got the best of her and she was tugging at his jacket behind him and tilting her head looking at the material.

"How do you wear this in the hot sun? What is this? Leather?" She said looking at the edge of his coat, not threatened by the man anymore. His apologizing to the girl and noting about his mother showed he seemed to be a man who was kind and was not posing as much of a threat as he looked.
She blinked at the jacket, then sniffed it.

"Why were you up there anyways? Nothing's past the cliff, 'cept for those wild mutants. You dont look like youre from over there." She declared as she nibbled a tooth on the edge of her jacket. It tasted horrible and she released his jacket and spit out the taste in her mouth.

immediately when he got closer, she moved forward so he wouldn't get close to her. She kept her temptations to trample his hands with her boots when he reached down to pick it up. She dug her boot into the ground, facing away from him. She then heard the comment about the gift from his mother. Her eyes widened and softened afterwards. Her arms became limp, and her eyes narrowed to the ground. She then quickly shook her head once she heard his apology. "..No need. I don't need any apologies from you." She said as she turned around to face him, lightly patting his shoulder. She then felt Jade brush up against her arm while she was trying to examine his jacket. She heard the mutant comment and chuckled lightly. "Mutants.. Not once have I met one thats the slightest bit intelligent.." She said as her arm became weak on his shoulder, and she looked over her own shoulder at the sun beginning to set, and knowing how cold it'd be, she knew it wouldn't be safe to stay out. "..We better get inside. The nights air is unbelievably cold." She said as she removed her hand from his shoulder, beginning to walk towards one of the broken down houses.

He nodded while one of the girls talked, noting everything she was saying. He then felt a hand upon him and examining his jacket. "You want to know why?" He asked in a tone that seemed to express how easy it was to figure out. "I travel constantly, and I don't always have shelter at night. This jacked is to keep me warm during nights. It was hard to wear at first because of the little bit of atmosphere we have, and as hot as it was already, but I soon got used to it." He looked down quickly, noticing how much he had said. He usually kept to himself, Why was he opening up to these strangers, Especially one that almost didn't give something of his back to him right away. He saw the violent tendency that sparked in her eyes every time a fight was close to breaking out. He then noticed her bite it slightly and laughed. "It hasn't been washed in so long I dont know why you would bite it!" He laughed again after his comment and saw the other girl walking, and instinctively walked after her, keeping his fair share of distance. He noticed the taller one wasnt coming right away and pulled her along.

Jade looked to Divai as she commented an insult to her. She smiled slightly though, spitting out the last bit of the awful taste in her mouth.

"I bet you weren't thinking that as I gave you food and water." She said, then giggled at her own snotty remark. "I'm kidding. Say what you will about me. If you want to judge one of the only few survivors in this wasteland; do so." She said, and then turned to the man as he commented about the jacket.
It made some sense, then as he poked fun at her for nibbling on his jacket she smiled at him

"At times like this who cares much about Hygiene?" She laughed. then as she listened to Divai explaining how cold the nights get, she nodded as well and even felt a bit of a chill down her body.
She threw her hand in her bag and took out a folded cloth. She unfolded it and wrapped the small cloak around her shoulders and slipped her hands through the holes on the sides.

"But I agree." She said as she took the two strings at the top of her ragged cloak and tied them together."We should head back to where the fire is. Good place for shelter and the 'firewood' I found will last a long while." She then turned around and felt herself being tugged at by the man in his dark jacket.
She balanced back to her feet and followed along with the two. She felt a small smile come across her face as she felt they would be stuck with each other for a little while. As much as she was alone and never minded it, it felt good to have company around. Especially a group like this.

As she was walking away, her eyes got softer, noticing they weren't following her at first. She was enjoying their company but she couldn't let herself get too cold. She stopped in her tracks noticing the man began to walk after her, pulling Jade with him. But it's the mutant comment that made her stop so suddenly. "You're.. A mutant..?" She looked over her own shoulder in shock, seeing one that was not a bloodthirsty demon was an amazement to her. Also knowing she was a cannibal made me more incredible to her. "I didn't know that, otherwise I wouldn't have made that comment. I'm sorry." She said as she turned back around to walk forward towards where the fire was burning. She felt bad for saying a thing like that about Mutants since Jade was one. She shook her head as she walked, trying to forget about it.

He walked after her, jogging slightly to keep up with her athleticism. He noticed the fire and his mood was raised. They have fire, I can cook He chuckled slightly at the thought of his first meal in 2 weeks. He wondered if there would be water there and remembered the Xiphentus dust in his pocket. Clear water, raised his mood as well. Dirty water can bring ones spirit down faster than anything. Spoiled meat can too. "Not all mutants are that bad." He commented to the shorter girl.

She looked in front of her at Divai when she had gotten all quiet and asked about herself being a mutant. She raised and eyebrow as the man mentioned they werent all as bad.

"I thought you were talking about me. Hah." She said with a smile.
"Dont worry about it. My mutations minor anyways." She ran up to Divai and opened her mouth while walking backwards. She revealed two sharp fangs, one on each side of her mouth, and then she stretched her gum with her finger and then revealed more sharpened teeth, in a row towards the back of her throat.
"Ish na mush, fut itsh shere." She said with her finger still in her mouth, so her 'Its not much but its there' didnt come out very clear.
She turned back forward and continued walking along, in between the two, and continued talking when she put her hand out of her mouth and back on her side, wiping her saliva off on the strap to her corset that hung down to her knees.

"And there's only one other mutant I've ever known that was different." She said, then looked at the ground, leaving that as that. Though she wasnt exactly sure whether or not she was an actual mutant or just a cannibal.

She continued walking forward, not knowing how to respond to her. As she was walking, she shook her head side to side lightly "No, like I said I didn't know you were a mutant." She stopped in her tracks and looked back, looking at the strange man. "..No need to run." She chuckled lightly, then looking over at Jade. "It doesn't matter how 'mutated' you are. I'm still sorry." She looked down at her once she ran up to her. When she opened her mouth, she was fascinated by the unique fangs. When she talked slurredly, Divai laughed a bit, finding it a bit amusing. "And no. Not all mutants are bad. I've just never seen one until now, that has had any intelligence." She said as she turned back around and walked over to the fire finally, sitting down criss cross with her hands on her knees, letting out a light sigh of relief to be near warmth since it began to get chilly. "Come sit. It'll be completely dark anytime now"

He laughed at their conversation and nodded slightly. He followed her motion of sitting and began to rummage through his bag. He pulled out another bag, and set it down. A pan followed it and another bag. He looked at the 2 of them and smiled. "If you guys dont have much then this rice should suffice the both of you. Do you both like rice? I don't want to make too much and have some of it be spoiled or thrown out. It took me a long time to find this much, and I rarely eat it, but the creation of bonds between new friends is a huge excuse to celebrate, even if slightly." He looked at the two of them, waiting for a reply as he looked stricken. "I forgot to ask both of your names.." He asked, looking down a bit. He felt stupid for not having asked before, then realized that mistakes happen.

Jade let out a chuckle at Divai and said
" No worries. If I took offense to what people thought about me or anything like that, I wouldnt go very far in life." She smiled, then looked at the man as he mentioned this Rice.
"Nah. I dont eat rice. Not normally, But i suppose i could try it." She laughed sitting down by the fire and snuggling her cloth cloak close to her as night seemed to have approached.
"Im Jade." She mentioned as she pulled the cloak over her knees. She was going to introduce Divai, but she could talk for herself, and she seemed to have felt bad for attempt at insulting mutants; which she never really minded in the first place, but it seemed nice of her to apologize. From first glance she did not seem like the kind of person to apologize for insults.
Thats why you dont judge people by their looks she thought to herself with a smile.
She let out a sigh of relaxation as she kicked some isolated billboard pieces back into the fire, watching the ashes jump up into the air, floating as high as possible, before unlighting themselves and gently dancing back down to the ground.

She watched as he rummaged through his bag, then flinched and looked over to Jade. "..Alright. If you say so. I'm still really sorry" She said as she looked down to the ground, rubbing her forehead. She looked over at the man and the sound of rice. She loved any kind of meal she could get and enjoy, seeing as she normally had a picky appetite. "I enjoy it. And I'm very picky." She looked to the side and smiled slightly. "Can I.. Have some if you don't mind?" She then looked back to the man as he said he hadnt got our names. "I'm.. Divaina. But you can call me Divai for short." She said as she looked over to Jade as a smile went across Jades lips. Divai could only wonder what she was thinking, but didn't really bother asking. After hearing Jades sigh, she was about to say something "Is so-" But before she could speak, a fire bursted into the air, than returned to the ground. Divai shot pack from the sudden blaze of fire that got too close for comfort. The skin near her skirt seemed as if it began to melt off, but Divai didn't notice, she was too busy staring at the fire as sweat dripped down her forehead, as she leaned back in shock, her heart beating fast.

He smiled at their comments of the rice, then looked down at the pot, filling it with water from his jug and rice from the sack. He placed it on the fire as it caused a small burst of flames. "Sorry, my bad." He noticed her dive back in shock and raised an eyebrow questioningly but shrugged it off quickly and went back to cooking. Soon it was done, and he served both of them an equal amount to his.

She examined the serving of rice in her hand as she took some from the man. It was weird looking. It was just a bunch of little white seed-like things. A little poofy or something.
She put her fingers in the rice and took a pinch of it, a couple falling back into the bowl. She examined the little white things back and forth, and then took the pinch and placed them on her tongue.
Her sharp teeth and fangs began to attempt to chew at these things, and she moved her tongue around them, moving and jolting them in different directions.

"These things have no flavor. And they dont seem very filling. Theyre just... so tiny" She said, her head tilted and an eyebrow raised along with her serious face. She began to ponder whether or not she wanted to add her little "spice" to it, but she felt she had been rude enough as is.
She was not a person to be afraid of trying new things, but she would always love her meat to survive. Not to mention its really one of the only things you have at times like this. That made her wonder how he got this 'rice' in the first place. Then she remembered

"You never told us your name." She looked at him with curiosity.
