Shalrien and Shade Guard and unofficial guard of Squad 4
"I know you will bring honor back to your family. And if these monsters are ever destroyed for good, Shade and I vow to help you find Ameterasu." Shalrien said with a smile as she rested a hand on Lux's shoulder. Then seeing Mayu rise, she knew something was wrong. Shade did as well as the large cat padded over to comfort the distressed Vestec. "I guessed as much." Shalrien sighed sadly. "I am sorry Mayu, I truly am. Mal was a good man." She murmured before rising to her feet. "And I know this will sound cruel, but we must return to the organization to find a new handler, otherwise we can no longer do our jobs." She said. Shalrien didn't want to seem heartless, and she was sad to lose Mal, but they needed to get a new handler quickly, before they might be attacked by deathwalkers without any fair warning.

~Senel Krusis~ Senel took a bite our of his now fully cooked fish as he listened closely to Gondin's little statement. He was an honest man and always up for boosting the team's morale. Judging by Amaya's expression it seemed he had made her morning a bit brighter and he was glad for that.
Finishing up his fish Senel stood up, stretching in the process. "So, what's our next move?"

++Squad 4 Guard: Lux of the White Rose++ Lady Mayu emerged from her tent, she mentioned Mal, he had been Lux's friend. "Mal was a great man,Lady Mayu. When we joined the Silver Guard we joined knowing that we had to protect you with our lives if necessary, He knew that as well as anyone. Mal and I were willing to die so you two could get out of there. he told me to go. I didn't want to leave him, but he was a good man." Mal and Lux had been friends from the beginning, witnessing his death was not something he ever wanted to relive.

Mayu Nikita Squad 4's Vestec Mayu had been staring at the ground now, doing her best to appear poised and calm, as difficult as it was right now. It didn't make it any better that she knew how dear Mal had been to Lux. Even if it wasn't much, it was relieving to hear their words. Thats right, it was part of the job. Still, it hurt. It was like people she knew and had grown up with left their village when it was time. You knew the likelihood of seeing them again was next to none.
When Shalrien said they had to return to the organization, she raised her eyes, taking a deep breath. "No, you are right." Strength returned to her voice, the light catching the crystals of her necklace. "Lets pack up camp and get going. I can make a quick breakfast, though we are running a little low on supplies. Mostly just bread and cheese with some fruit at this point." It was probably better for them to get going so that they could resupply since they didn't get to at the village they had just been to. "I'll go get them..." She murmured before darting into her tent, pulling out the pack with all of their food in it. She took an apple for herself, not really needing to eat too much.
Pulling out her dagger, she started to cut up the bread for her team mates. This was one of the few things she could do. She had to keep her head held high, she had to.

++Squad 4 guard: Lux of the White Rose++ Lux nodded and quickly took down his tent. He removed the massive blade of Mangetsu, he rested the sword on his shoulder. and sat once again on the felled tree. " did you sleep well, Lady Mayu?" He said watching her cut the bread. he looked up at the sky, the clouds were so peaceful. For once he envied the clouds.

Shalrien and Shade Guard and unofficial guard of Squad 4
Rasing an eyebrow at Lux's comment of getting the two of them out of there, Shalrien began to get a little angry. After Mayu had calmed down and gone about to get ready to leave, Shalrien walked over to him, her hands on her hips. "I hope when you said you wanted to get 'you two' out of there, I hope you meant Mayu and Shade." She said with anger obvious in her voice. Shade, who was nearby lifted her head when she heard her name, then slinked off to 'help' Mayu, not wanting to be near Shalrien at the moment. "Because honestly, if you're considering giving you life for me, I'd have to kill you myself." She started as she now crossed her arms. "Just because I'm a woman does not mean I need to be protected, and I wouldn't leave your side in battle even if I were dying, so I hope you have some secret love for me or else I'm going to be really pissed that you don't think I could handle myself. Yes, this time I did run because we were overwhelmed and someone needed to escort Mayu to safety, Shade and I were the best choice, but even then we wouldn't have been captured with Shade being the one in charge." Shalrien scolded him. "To know my friend died because he didn't think I could handle myself, I would hate myself forever."

Gondin Squad 12's Guard
Gondin finished off his meal quickly enough, and started gathering up any dishes that still needed cleaning. "Well, lets just get on our way to the next city. See if there's been anything strange going on. Best case, we get to pulp some deathwalkers. Worst case, we can spend a night in actual beds." He offers as a suggestion. After gathering all the dirtied things he headed to the river to wash them off, passing Rosa on the way. He would have tried to strike up a conversation but she was obviously in meditation. He respected that, and tried to be as quiet and non-disruptive as possible.

Amaya Squad 12's Vestec
As they approached the next village they were assigned to, squad 12 seemed on edge, though Rosa did the most. Amaya was beginning to look a little pale, a sign that there were indeed deathwalkers nearby as she took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. "They're definitely here..." Amaya murmured tiredly, already beginning to be affected.

Gondin Squad 12's Guard
He just grinned at the teasing, happy to see Amaya's spirits more positive. "It's not as much about the size of the bed. I could sleep on a rock, so having my feet hanging off the end isn't much of a discomfort. I've just broken a few in my day." he explains with an embarrassed chuckle. "I can't help it when inn keepers don't invest in sturdy furniture! When a man finishes a day of hard work, he just wants to flop on to a bed and get some good rest. But apparently a flop from me is more like a falling boulder." he says, cheeks a tad red, but laughing all the same as he drops a fist sized rock on to weed, crushing it as an example.

Amaya Squad 12's Vestec
Amaya just laughed as she walked over to the horses, gently taking her horse's reins in her hand as she stroked the horse's nose. Amaya's horse was a beautiful chestnut mare with a white 'star' on her forehead. Amaya had gotten the horse as a young filly three years ago as an apology present from her parents for having to leave her again for work, so Amaya spent all of her free time while she was still in the village training her horse. "Well I'm sure your horse doesn't think of you that way." She said softly as she began leading her own horse out. "I'm going to let Sage get another drink of water, then I'll be ready to go. No rush for the rest of you though." Amaya said as she smiled to the others.

Mayu Nikita Squad 4's Vestec Mayu had to disappear really fast to find their plates, still catching his question on the way into her tent. She laid out the bread and cheese with some grapes on the two plates, currently biting into her apple to hold it while her hands were full. Balancing the plates on her arm, she now took the apple into her hand as she moved out of her tent, blinking as she saw Shalrien talking frustratedly with Lux.
Blinking, she wasn't really sure how to take what was happening since she wasn't sure what was going on. Obviously Shalrien was angry about something, but she wasn't sure what. "Um.... I brought food...." She said softly, planning on answering Lux's question once things had died down a bit.

Rosa Zabójca Squad 12's Guard Rosa opened one eye as she sensed Gondin's movement to the river, soon opening both as she listened to the conversation between her team. It was true, getting to sleep in a real bed was always nice. Though, it wasn't like it was foreign to not have that luxury. Any traveler had to deal with it. Honestly she didn't care one way or another, but it was probably better physically for them to be able to sleep on something consistent and relatively flat.
She smirked beneath her mask at the jest Amaya shot at Gondin about his large physique, pushing herself up to check on Jack her horse. He was a pure black, the light seeming to just glide off of him. He was a beautiful stallion that she had tamed when she had just been starting out as a guard. He only stayed consistently calm when it came to her. Anyone else, and he was liable to try to throw them or rage. He also hated it when things got too calm.
She seemed to flicker as she grabbed her things, strapping them down to his saddle, double checking the strength of everything. Good, it wouldn't move around too much. He stomped at the ground, obviously itching to get moving. They were well matched, both black sheep's to society. She touched her forehead to his, the gesture seeming to calm him. He was good and raring to go, her hand running along his cheek and nose, a smile on her lips beneath her mask though it didn't quite reach her eyes.

~Senel Krusis~ "Well then, I guess thats settled," Senel said to himself as the small conversation between Amaya and Gondin took place. Another city to investigate and quite possibly another battle to fight. Senel was slowly getting used to that fact though the insecurity of whether the following battle would be their last still haunted his mind.
Pushing those negative thoughts aside he went over to his own horse just as everyone else did. Aside from Amaya's chestnut colored mare or Rosa's dark raven one, Senel's was pure white, almost the same color as his bright silver hair. "Hey partner," Senel whispered as he gently stroke the animal's neck. "Ready to head out once more?" The horse began stroking the ground as if responding to Senel's question. With a small grin the silver haired teen mounted his steed and began waiting for the rest of his troop.

Gondin Squad 12's Guard
Gondin finished cleaning off the rest of the dishes and packed them away. He also stopped to check that the fire was totally extinguished. Walking back to the tree he had used to sleep against, he put on his shirt and duster, but put the shoes in a bag. He preferred to go without whenever he could get away with it. Gondin went over to Chuck, his horse. Or at least he served as one. Chuck was technically a mule, but he was on the bigger and stronger side as far as mules went. He wasn't a pretty creature, just a dirty brown color with a main that couldn't seem to decide which part of the blood line it was descended from. Gondin had originally bought him to help haul heavy blacksmithing materials around, but since joining the silver guard Chuck had become his transportation as well. He was a solid companion. "Alright Chuck, time to hit the trail again." Gondin said giving him some hearty pats on the flank while he stashed everything in the appropriate saddle bag. Gondin hauled himself up and Chuck just snorted and walked over to join their companions without any provocation from Gondin.

Amaya Squad 12's Vestec
Once Amaya was sure that Sage had drank her fill, Amaya quickly saddled the horse and attached her small back to the back of the saddle. Once that was all done, Amaya swung herself up to Sage's back gracefully, even though she was quite a large horse. Now that she was ready to go, the vestec smiled at the others and patted Sage's strong neck.
