"Buonasera, Lizzy - and grazie, you look lovely as well," Malodore said, opening its beak in a smile at the demoness.
Jericho's observation about the emblems caught its attention next. "Ah - yes, we did." The plague doctor glanced briefly down at said emblem. It hadn't really occurred to it that it would be worthy of much note, though of course it was aware of the significance behind the gesture. Surely others swapped emblems as well?
If Lizzy and Jericho were going in... Malodore looked back at Riley inquiringly. Games, is it? Hopefully more interesting than Eye Spy? it inquired, the thought overlaid with memories of the game attempts on Ickis Car.

Lizzy immediately caught the Illithid's full attention as she was carefully inspected. Riley's eyes crinkled slightly at the compliment, clearly pleased. At least she seemed very nice, and had good manners. Not to mention, the one thing she already knew about the ghoul - she was a demon. Riley was pleased. Thank you, Lizzy. I concur with Malodore's judgement, you are looking stunning tonight. Jericho is a lucky boil to have you on his arm.
Once Jericho turned his attention to his date, her eyes crinkled quite happily. She glanced at Malodore, and sent him a private thought. I'll admit it. I'm rather proud I had something to do with that. Regardless, however, she wouldn't be playing cupid again any time soon. No matter what someone said.
Her eyes turned into the room, not having forgotten that she'd heard Israfel's voice a few moments ago. He told her not to move so fast, so she hadn't moved at all - and yet he was chatting away with the student council, like the lovely social butterfly she knew him to be. She thought he looked rather fetching in his dress, as well. If he turned to look at her, her eyes would return the gaze with a very grateful expression. She had a lot to thank the siren for, right about now.
As if remembering that thought, her grip around her date's arm slid slowly up and down. Ah, anything is more interesting than Eye Spy, cara mia. But they're just little games of chance, nothing too exciting. Well, other than the dance contest. My instincts tell me that's going to be.. quite a sight.

"Dance contest?" Malodore said that aloud, with a touch of vague horror. It didn't know how to dance. (Apparently its shadow did, but that was a mystery for another time.) "Are... do you... er...."
Given that it had heaved a rock through her window to make up with her, it was having an awfully hard time saying 'you don't want to enter that as a pair, do you? Oh please no.'

"Thank you," She smiled at Malodore and Riley, blushing a little as she turned to Jericho and thanking him as well; by the way she was giggling softly, it was obvious that she was amused by Jericho's awkwardness in their current setting - it was kind of cute. Upon closer inspection, his outfit impressed him; it didn't look like something he would pick out himself... She wondered if someone else did it for him. If she wasn't feeling more curious about how dragons wear clothes with huge wings sticking out of their backs, she would had asked. Maybe she'll ask him both of those questions later, when they're alone - well, as alone as one can be in a party.
Following Malodore's gaze, her eyes landed on the emblem on it - while she had never seen its emblem before, she was pretty sure it didn't belong to him. It belonged to Riley, judging from the design. Her face lit up, "It signifies trust." Demons are able to put a mark on others if need be - but an emblem gift or trade? Similar, but you unlike a mark, you don't give it out for owed favors.
You give them out to say 'I'll be there'. At least, that was her intention (and Amrita's too) when they traded.
Turning her attention back to Jericho once more, she nodded, "I told Amrita and Tess that we'll meet up inside. Knowing Charlie... Well, he'll probably pick Amrita up but when, I'm not sure. Sepheran, however... He'll probably pick Tess up." At least, she hoped so - he seemed like the sort!
"So I'm ready to enter when you are," She beamed, leaning in before adding in a hushed whisper, "And we can start up our DS while waiting for them to arrive, if you wish! PlusIhavesomethingforyou." Seems like she was rather embarrassed about it, but at least she managed to say it out!

Tilting his head at Malodore for the moment, Jericho glanced over at Lizzy as she commented on the emblem swap. He supposed that was one way to put it. For the most part, he had only really thought of emblem swapping would come from beating someone in a fight... in which case there probably wouldn't be a great deal of trust behind it. So it gave him a little bit of perspective here.
Grinning awkwardly again at Riley's comment, he nodded slowly, "See you around in there I guess?"
Shaking his head to himself, he nodded to Lizzy and walked on in with her.
"That sounds good to me," he replied before raising a brow. That last part was kind of quick so he nearly missed it. It took him a moment to realize what it was she had said.
"You do?"
Now that he thought about it, he wondered if he should have brought a gift of some sort. He never really paid much heed to this particular holiday, nor did he know a whole lot about the mannerisms of dates and the like. Well, in any case, he hoped she wouldn't be offended.

She bowed her head at Riley and Malodore before they parted ways, following Jericho and skipping to catch up to the boil. Again, she nodded, "Yes! I'll have to say though - its been a while since I sewed a plushie, so I'm not sure if its one of my better works..." She frowned slightly at this; if only she had more time to prepare! Of course, the frown didn't stay for long as she reached into her handbag, producing a black box roughly the size of a shoe box with a card attached to the top of the cover.
"Here!" She held it out to him with an expression that was a mix of embarrassment and determination. If it wasn't for the faint smile on her face, it would almost resemble a confession. Luckily for Jericho (and Lizzy once she realize what giving a boil a gift and card with an expression like that looked like), they were relatively far away from the other students when she did that. If they weren't paying attention, its possible nobody saw.
"Its a sort of thank you," She smiled, holding up the box so that it was now closer to the dragon, wishing for him to take the gift and open/read it on the spot - she wanted to be able to hear his comments! The box and card To: Jericho
Hi~ Um, just want to thank you for saving Amrita during the X'mas raid! She told me that you picked her up after she fainted at Candy Cane Lane after that awful dragon (not you, you're a cool dragon) attacked us. Since I was unfortunately blasted into FEAR particles in that fight, I couldn't thank you on the spot so here you go! A belated thank you gift! I can't remember how you look like as a dragon... Or if I had ever seen you in that form before, but I bet its really cool! and not at all soft and squishy like the plushie I made of you out of my imagination!
I also heard from someone that dragons like shiny things? Its not made of real gold (sorry) but I found this really shiny ring in the maul that you might like? There's a orange-red crystal on it so it reminded me of you! You can pull the ring off the plushie's tail~
Also, thank you for coming to this party as my date partner! I appreciate it... I think Amrita's also pretty happy about it, which makes me glad that both of us agreed to her little request! xD Anyway, I won't make you dance if you don't want to, so don't worry! Please enjoy this party and let us trade Pokeman?
PS. I would tell you all this personally, but I'm better at expressing myself through words when I feel embarrassed shy., especially since you are a boil.

Malodore's sudden stumbling words made her eyes slit mischievously. She could be terrible and make it think they would be dancing the night away.. but her heart just wasn't in it to tease. She shook her head. I'm running the contest, Malodore. That means I can't be in it. So, unless you have some lovely thing waiting in the wings to leave me and dance off with, you should be safe. Though, I'd be lying if I said I didn't want a dance with you at some point. Don't fret too much, I can't dance either.
When Lizzy mentioned the meaning behind the emblem exchange, Riley's hand instinctively lifted up to run a finger across Malodore's emblem as it lay against her dress. Her eyes lifted to rest on the plague doctor; the deep pools of white were raw with emotion.
Trust. Riley couldn't have said it better herself. Indeed it does. She whispered quietly. The moment seemed distracting enough that she hardly noticed the two students heading inside without them.

Unlike most of (If not...oh dear...all of?) the ghouls attending the party tonight, Junko did not walk up attached to anyone's arm. And she was not meeting up with any specific person upon her arrival, either. She was going to but...he couldn't make it. It was okay! They still had a date planned outside of Scarentine's, though Junko would be lying if she said she wasn't disappointed. At first she had considered not even going! Why attend a dance when you didn't have a date? But she reconsidered; her friends would be there, and Junko knew if she didn't go she'd be left hearing stories about the grand time her friends had had when she'd been...what...studying all night? Yeah, no. That wouldn't do. That would be a stupid idea! Junko should go out and have a good time date or no date, right? It made sense to her! And she even had the perfect outfit, one she had just recently made and hadn't worn anywhere yet. It wasn't red, but it was nice nonetheless. She apparently even went all out for this! She did her hair up in a different way than her usual as well, wrapping some of it up in two buns instead of the usual 'just pile it on!' method she used to keep Her quiet, not even covering Her...yet. If Junko had to do that, she was prepared. Very prepared. She'd even fed Her and bribed Her with the best food she'd ever have if she behaved for at least tonight. It seemed She was going to comply for now. The click of her sandals on the ground was the first sign of her arrival, a cheerful little hum as she walked accompanying the gentle clack clack clack they made with every step. She rounded the corner and immediately spotted Malodore and...whoa! Whoa whoa whoa! Was that...?! "Riley?" Junko called out curiously, her eyes wide. It had to be! How many students in this school had tentacles for 'hair' and purple skin? But whoa...that dress! For a moment Junko considered possibly going back to her dorm and picking something else to wear. Not gonna lie. "Ah...hello Riley, Malodore!" She greeted the two, though now that she really looked at them she was kind of worried she was interrupting something. Oops.

Arachne had turned up; she'd been back and forth about doing so since her..conversation with Rosciel, but at the last minute had decided to go, figuring that as he wasn't comfortable at the Demon party he would be even less likely to show up at a party that all were invited to.
She wandered into the Cafeteria, taking in the mix of heartsy, cutesy decor and also more gothic stuff. Which was interesting. She hadn't looked around yet to see who was here, as she pretty much daren't yet in case he had turned up. She was feeling awkward anyway, dressing completely outside her norm and showing both cleavage and skin.
She tugged at the strap that looped around her neck and then took a glance around those that were already there, seeing that Elizabeth was there, and once again had a boil at her side. A different one. Maybe she would ask her friend next for advice..

Sepheran stood awkwardly outside the Undead dorms wondering slightly if he had the right dorm to begin with. The school was an awfully big place after all, but he was sure he double checked it this morning. Tess should be coming out from here, he came to the dorms to escort the lovely ghoul to the Scarentine Dance, by Lizzy's request. He didn't mind though, he wouldn't have had a date otherwise, and Tess seemed nice enough.
As the night grew on though he began to wonder if she had perhaps left earlier and was waiting for him back at the dance...the thought made him slightly more nervous. He shifted again his silver and green tux shimmering in the moonlight slightly like the scales on his body. His jacket itself was pretty plain, but there was a nice looking snake embroidery on the back that almost moved like it was alive every time he shifted.
Liannan, his lovely white snake companion lifted her head to nuzzle her master as if everything would be fine. He held a nice bouquet of dead and withered flowers, since he wanted to make this night special for the trouble Lizzy went through to arrange this date. He wouldn't let Lizzy down on being a good date to her friend...at least he'd try not to.
Looking back at the dorm Sepheran decided he would give her a few more minutes before checking the Cafeteria to see if he had somehow missed her and she already arrived.

Riley blinked and refocused on Junko as she came towards them. Her eyes crinkled slightly in lieu of a smile, and she waved her hand once as both a greeting and a welcome to join them.
Hello, Junko. Your kimono is gorgeous. Did you make it?

Nyyrikki slipped into the party, shoulders hunched slightly. He wasn't sure what to make of this just yet, but he was sure he'd be comfortable in a matter of moments. Just had to get his footing right and he'd probably be exuding confidence. That was the Nyyrikki he wanted to be right now.
He'd shown up at least dressed to impress. He wore a black button up shirt with an orange, quarter-sleeve, turtle-neck t-shirt underneath, showing off his pride of Halloween rather than the average Scareintine colors. He'd opted out of his comfort zone and actually put on a pair of slacks, but couldn't seem to give up his shoes. And the entire look was for one reason.
It wasn't hard to find Rain. She was the student council president, so he just had to find her off running thing somewhere. When he had, he came up behind her and hovered his head slightly over her shoulder. "Just because I asked on graonspring doesn't make it any less official."

Oh, good! Riley didn't seem bothered or anything that Junko had just interrupted some kind of 'moment' between the two of them. She wandered closer to them when it seemed Riley wasn't opposed to her joining them, blushing a bit at the compliment and smiling proudly. "Thank you! And yes, I did. This is my first time wearing it, too!" Junko said proudly, doing a little turn for Riley so she could see the entire thing.
"Your dress is..very lovely, Riley!" Despite the hesitation Junko did mean what she was saying. Riley's dress was lovely on her. And...and very revealing. Oh dear, was she overdressed? What was everyone else wearing?

Your skills are unmatched, in my book. Riley praised, very impressed with how the ghoul had managed to put together something so professional looking, that Riley would not be surprised to see it in the catalogue she usually ordered from. She made a mental note to request another get together with Junko.. simply to watch her at her craft. There was much to be learned still.
She did not seem to notice the hesitation in her compliment, and took it at face value. Thank you. It was tailored by one of my favorite designers for me. I don't usually wear red, but, ah.. She glanced at Malodore for a moment, before her eyes returned to Junko and she shrugged. Well. There's a first time for everything.

Junko blushed again as she was praised for her skills, fidgeting with the end of one of her sleeves and smiling helplessly. Riley was so nice! It was easy to forgive her for trying to mark her back in Christmas Town. "Thank you very much, Riley. Oh! I still have your boots, by the way...if you'd like them back." If not they were just going to collect dust for all eternity. Junko was uncomfortable in them. She gave Riley a good once over as the ghoul explained the origin of her dress, making an impressed little noise and clapping her hands together underneath her chin.
"How wonderful! You look very nice in that dress." Junko blinked and followed Riley's gaze to Malodore, seeing the way she was draped all over the plague doctor. Ohhh! She understood. The ghoul giggled and clasped her hands behind her back down, rocking from heel to toe. "I see! Well, I think it's sweet. Should we go inside now? Or are you waiting for someone else?" It wasn't unreasonable. Riley seemed quite popular! But mostly all demons seemed to be very popular...not that there was anything wrong with that! Junko adored her demon friends.
