"Mm, that's very true... Not such a good thing once it impedes their ability to live a healthy life." She'd seen a Growlithe wandering about the base that was all pudge and chub. It was no wonder it looked like it was always like it was in such a bad mood. She replied to the compliment, though not directed at her, with a small smile, feeling a subtle pride in response. They were a veritable horde - she hadn't even brought all of them - but they were... family? Now that was a strange thought, as well as slightly disconcerting.

"Well." What better way to deflect uncomfortable thoughts than by changing the topic entirely? "I should probably head out soon. I didn't mean to linger for long." She stood, packing away the things that had found their way out of her bag during her rest. "I thank you for your company, especially for the advice about the egg." A Pichu, was it? Hm...

"Right," Aulus nodded, getting to his feet and retrieving Tortie's bowl, "I should be going too." He wasn't exactly sure where, but there was plenty of light left so he had time to drive around as he pleased for a good while. "Take care of that egg then," he added as he packed away the lunch things, "and you can laugh at me if I'm wrong about it." It was certainly the right pattern for a pichu, but he was far from an expert; what did he really know.

"Might see you around then," Aulus said as he mounted his bike, a little pleased to find that he wouldn't mind if they did run into each other in the future. He wasn't about to trust her with anything important about himself, but she seemed like an alright girl, which was something of a rarity in his experience. As Tortie jumped up behind him Aulus turned on the engine and flipped the kickstand up, but he waited to see if Aila had anything else to say to him before he just drove off.

A brief command had that same horde lined up, ready to be returned to their pokeballs. One by one she returned them to the capsules, and then the capsules to her hip, until she was left with the Metagross and the egg, the former of which she approached in preparation to take her seat with the latter cradled in her arms for protection. She dismissed his comment about the egg's inhabitant with a slight wave of her hand; she had no better idea herself, after all, so she wasn't about to hold someone else accountable if their guess was inaccurate.

"All right," she said with a nod, a bit surprised to find herself thinking similarly. It was always a pleasure to speak with knowledgeable individuals, even more so if they proved good company overall. "Take care." She boarded her own transportation - with some help from said transportation, of course - and gave her farewell in the form of another nod and smile. She had no idea where they were headed next, but that certainly wasn't going to stop her from looking like she had a solid plan...
